Tell Shane to bring his back knee in forward (inward) a little bit more BEFORE he pops the Nollie Heelflips. As he is popping with his front foot, bring that back knee’s motion backwards (outward) as he is flicking. This motion helps keep the hips stable during the trick. It’s going to help bring height and a cleaner flick. Makes them more explosive and consistent. That’s what helped me.
I got a lot of pleasure watching yal suffer skating that place 🤣Wall park is absolutely BRUTAL with the little rocks and sticks. That’s my home park, and no matter how good you hit it with the blower , someone’s gonna get bodied from the rocks.
YES!!! Rory, it was genuinely reassuring to see that the Wall Park trademark debris can cause trouble for anybody! Sorry you had to go through it, Tom, but glad to be in good company.
Sometimes this happens. Rough weather, parks in a weak condition or not the best condition, etc. This aspect of the video makes it real, and connects with people who skates with his hommies for fun. I love this channel. 🙏❤
Shane's friend is pretty good at skateboarding! Also I think that obstacle is a fun box and Shane's right on what the pyramid is. I do think pyramids are just hips they are just usually connected to fun boxes which I would consider any platform connected by ramps, possibly with rails or ledges or whatever. But half the time fun boxes are also pyramids.
Yeah in the UK that's a driveway, a pyramid is four sided with a flat top, and a fun box can be the same as a pyramid but also has a rail or ledge on it. Could also only have three sides
That’s funny, I’m in England and thought everywhere called them driveways! Does this open up the ‘Wembley Gap/Euro gap’ conversation? That also depends on age as well as nationality!!
Fun box for sure. Some people call it a fly box. Which sounds better imho. I see what you’re saying about going over the “fly box” part of the pyramid though. But, I’d 100% call the other one a pyramid either way.
Love yah work you 2 are so good 2 best buds ripping on each other funny as haha also not to rub it in here in Brissy OZ 30 plus degrees here sweating balls bigtime ....
My old local! Used to live right next to Wall. The “flow” is def a lil hard to get used to, like a hamster in a wheel, gotta get those lines in a circle around the metal ramps. It’s honestly the perfect TF if you’re a local, got everything you need- low ledges, flatbars, and QPs, to the bigger ledge and ramps. And it’s close to other parks like Ambler, The Yard, and good north philly spots, Broad St, etc. And Tom’s technically right, it used to be a proper four sided pyramid years ago but they copped the side hips off.
25:30 Skated for 20 years and we always called tricks from incline, over flat, to decline a pyramid. It doesn't have to have a hip to be a pymid. BUT if there is a hip, then we still call it a pyamid. If we skate the hip, we say hip. I've never heard anyone call either builds a fun box. I see where you're coming from, but this being the first time I've heard this argument in 20 years, I don't think people care about the minutia.
I think of the thing in the middle of Newtown skatepark as a fun box and a pyramid is when the box has ramps going up all 4 sides? I think it is honestly just whatever the locals decide to call it tbh
It's cold as BALLZ in Kentucky today, but I just picked up the Roskpopp Kaiju deck and I'm just gonna have to suffer the weather. But at 48, I can guarantee you guys it's gonna be a short session for real. Love the video and Happy Holidays to you and yours bro!
Had to come back to finish the vid. The debate at the end is a crack up 😂 these arguments been going on forever in all groups. I too have no damn clue what a fun box is 😂
I wish we still had an indoor park in North Jersey. The windchill has had it consistently in the 20’s for like 2 weeks. I tried to squeak out a 15 minute sesh the other day to keep my legs fresh. My back reminded me of how bad of an idea that was for the next 2 days
Just gifted at skating it's not even fair lol reached into that bag and pulled out a bennet grind for kicks and gigs. Love the videos! Would love to see you do a back 3 on a snowboard! It's about that time of the year anyways.
Fun box to me in California always had a box or rail option, like the natural fun box rail Jerry Hsu backside nose blunted. Maybe that was just that set ups we had… 🤷♂️ Pyramid was referenced as any bank to bank type of set up with a hip/corner option, feel like when I was younger everyone would said “full pyramid” for that type of set up as well. Long story short I’m on both sides of the argument 😂
Id say bank flat bank. Kickflip over the flat. Lol I thought a fun box was like a Manny pad with angle iron on the side so you can grind also. Its a fun box.
It's frigid and snowy, here in Michigan... but I just picked up some fresh kicks and a deck from my homie's skate shop, a few days ago. I was really just trying to support the homie because the skate scene is lackin', lately, but I'm hoping to get out and film a little winter street clip, soon. The homie had an open to the public, indoor park, but it was just a money sink hole and he couldn't maintain the lease on top of having a seperate skate shop location and had to sell his professionally built ramps - it was all wood built, gator skins, set up like a training facility with a raised section with a 9 set, grass gap, a few handrails, 9 foot vert wall with a keyhole gap, had a huge pyramid that wasn't really built how we wanted it to be built, a flat ground section with a bump to gap over a legit fire hydrant and an adjoining manny pad with a slappy curb. The whole park had angle iron edges...it was sick and I had a lifetime pass (which didn't last long). Cost like 100k to build.... Josh Kalis came through, once, on the day I wasn't there and did a massive nollie flip over the pyramid... it's was like 6 foot tall with a 5ft flat section on top. He also did one of his world famous tre flips over the pyramid, too.
If I could ask for one thing in life, it would be to skate with you guys , allow me to fan out a bit🙌 The dynamic is great (I wonder if Shane would've got the sw nose grind 180 exactly on the 4th try after he said it) that was hilarious! 😂
You dudes have way more parks than we do in NE Ohio and most are way better. That being said, in climates like ours, the condition of the ground often decides whether or not it's deemed a good park
It's an A-frame. Pyramid should have four sides like a pyramid, but I think the A-frame with one hip side is basically a pyramid. Love you guys, used to skate this park all the time back in my Temple/Tyler days.
It's still a pyramid, even without hips. It's just the "economy" version, when it's missing the hips. Kinda like how we call it a "quarter pipe" even though it doesn't go to 90 degrees. We don't call them "1/6th pipes" or whatever, we just figure it's close enough to what we're calling it.
Tom, just wanted to let you know DO NOT blow on your hands in they are cold because it only makes them worse. Instead, put your hands on the bareskin of the warmest parts of your body like your stomach, underneath arm pits, or behind the knees while crouched down (medically prefer in between thighs & nutsack) that way your bodys actual temperature will regulate your hands back to its normal range. In football our coach would take us out of the game since breathing on hands is dangerous in cold temperatures. Loce your skating lkke always ❤
oh damn i never knew that! thank you! idk if i can be walkin around with my hands in my pants but ill do what i can haha.. for real thanks for the info though!
I'm probably wrong... But to me a pyramid is a potential feature of a fun box.. They're both fun boxes to me, and if the box has at least 3 walls of the pyramid... it's a pyramid... Otherwise, it's a hip or a bump to bump. If the box in the forefront isn't just called a fun box, I'd call it a bump to bump or a wedge gap before a pyramid.
That outdoor park is always filled with puddles there’s no drainage, go to the yard if you’re in ambler it’s the best indoor park on the east coast imo
Hey Tom! I’m about to purchase a pair of two nine 8’s and was wondering how es shoes are running now a days. True to size? It’s my first pair in a very long time. I hope all is well brother keep shreddin
hip has a transition bottom, funbox has a flat top, pyramid is a pyramid, bank is a bank. china wall is a transition bank, thats how i alwys understood it.
To me a funbox is any ramp obstacle in the middle of the park. A pyramid is at least 2 hips. A funbox can have a pyramid as part of it but doesn't have to. I don't call a single hip a pyramid either. If you said I kickflipped the pyramid I would assume you're talking about over the bank to bank part otherwise you'd have said I kickflipped the hip.
It’s a fun box, Shane right needs to have the hip to be a pyramid. Side note, that fun box/pyramid at X park was the most slippery shit ever
I love how shane will be able to run out from bigger bails, but on like a missed flatground backside flip he lays out on the ground 😂. Love you guys
It’s a fun box! A pyramid has four sides! But I have called them pyramids too!😂
How many times you seen a 4 sided pyramid at skatepark? I been to about 30 different parks in my life and never seen one with more than 3 sides.
@@BlahBlah-kb1wf My local park back in the day had a 4 sided pyramid. But yeah to be fair that is the only one I can think of.
Bam is wall man
I got a lot of pleasure watching yal suffer skating that place 🤣Wall park is absolutely BRUTAL with the little rocks and sticks. That’s my home park, and no matter how good you hit it with the blower , someone’s gonna get bodied from the rocks.

absolute banger of a vid
THANK YOU!

that christmas edit is gold!
skating in the cold sucks but its better than not skating, cool vid again! liked it a lot
Fav skater🐐
A Fun box is just a box, Also I'm a Shane Fan. Tell him he has 1 fan. Great job Guys Love you!
Agree. Fun box is, if anything, just a box. Usually to do mannys on or grind. Most people just call it a box.
Killed it again boys, great stuff! I knew luztka was going to get mentioned when Tom started trying the front 3😂😂😂
12:40 😂😂😭 Shane did you dirty by keeping that in the vid lmao
Shane's friend is pretty good at skateboarding!

Fun boxes have multiple features like hip, pyramid, hubba or rail. Up, flat, down on its own is a pyramid.
The ground always looks so good
Hell yeah the Cheltenham park, haven’t been there in years.
Looks like it’s missing the big bank ramp now.
As always, the video was hardbody karate
Been skating wall park for long time and I've never seen it look so easy to skate. Good job men nice to see you guys in the area
The Billy Madison brain buster reference 😂 Where I am from we call those table tops or fun boxes.
My old local! Used to live right next to Wall. The “flow” is def a lil hard to get used to, like a hamster in a wheel, gotta get those lines in a circle around the metal ramps.

The mustache game is on point with these two 😂😂
Tom’s bs360 really does look like a snowboard maneuver. That’s sick
tom asta🙌
King khaki🔥🔥
is that an actual yell at 19:48, or is it an audio clip from a horror movie LMFAO genuinly cant tell
😂😂
i miss those reign / x park VX edits! those were the sickest
Those pants AND long John's? That's crazy Shane.... You basically have two pairs of long John's on
I think of the thing in the middle of Newtown skatepark as a fun box and a pyramid is when the box has ramps going up all 4 sides? I think it is honestly just whatever the locals decide to call it tbh

We call that a drive way in the UK
that christmas video was awesome, couldn’t tell if it was shane or chris cole the whole time 😂 twins fr
Shane is Caswell Berry
Had to come back to finish the vid. The debate at the end is a crack up 😂 these arguments been going on forever in all groups. I too have no damn clue what a fun box is 😂
hahaa thank you! at least i dont feel crazy now.. the hell is a funbox lol
@tomasta I've heard people use the term my whole life but was never exactly sure what it was 😂
Rough park, fun to watch though😊
Thanks guys! bout to go get a sesh now that wind chill is above 20F!
yikes good luck !
The wind has been insane on the east coast recently. Gonna be in the 40-50s. About to do the same thing !!
I wish we still had an indoor park in North Jersey. The windchill has had it consistently in the 20’s for like 2 weeks. I tried to squeak out a 15 minute sesh the other day to keep my legs fresh. My back reminded me of how bad of an idea that was for the next 2 days
RIP drop in
Crazy that was 20 years ago
Time to get ur yard membership!
That's wall man!!!! Bam Margera baby. What do I win? Haha.

Y’alls banter 😂
Id say bank flat bank.
Kickflip over the flat.
Lol I thought a fun box was like a Manny pad with angle iron on the side so you can grind also.
Its a fun box.
You're right about what a fun box is.
also i call hips pyramid and the fun box a bump to bump
I feel like two banks with a flat top can also be called a Table like in BMXing

It’s a bank to bank, fun boxes are manual obstacles that you skated with homie that was doing nollie crooks and sw bs nose grind to fs halfcab
That Christmas video is jokes lol!
"Kid's channel... kid's channel..." 😂😂😂😂😂😂 dead
🤣🤣🤣
Great skater
Watching this made my knees hurt lol .. looks hella cold out there 💪🏼
was rough lol
If I could ask for one thing in life, it would be to skate with you guys , allow me to fan out a bit🙌
The dynamic is great
(I wonder if Shane would've got the sw nose grind 180 exactly on the 4th try after he said it) that was hilarious! 😂
Thanks for the video,
I wanna skate right now! It's 4am in SA by the way 😅
I could've watch tom just tree flipping for 3 hours straight
I Love you guys! Keep doing it💯💯💯
Tennis court ground is great for skating
17:55 UNION SUIT lol
Loving the vids dude. It'd be interesting to get a Shane's setup video?
I don't care how gooney I look, but my leaf blower has become a staple tool for all my fall/early winter sessions.
You dudes have way more parks than we do in NE Ohio and most are way better. That being said, in climates like ours, the condition of the ground often decides whether or not it's deemed a good park
Great one!!!
thank you!
Shane's looking like Jonah Jameson from OG spider man movies
He always reminds me of Dr Strange!!
@ haha
fun box lol or bump to bump for aussies
It's an A-frame. Pyramid should have four sides like a pyramid, but I think the A-frame with one hip side is basically a pyramid. Love you guys, used to skate this park all the time back in my Temple/Tyler days.

Tom’s right it’s the xpark pyramid; that bmx “pyramid” at xpark was a kicker launch ramp one cus it was curved
We skate. We skate cold We skate hot, we skate.
🧡🌐🧡

Exactly
The hair coming back
Before you talk to him calling him Shane, I thought it was a kid playing around 🤣
Does Shane have any old footage on UA-cam? I wanna watch some of his clips
Yeab....not being weird but I love u tom 😅😊 love u dood ❤
Skating in the cold with no gloves is crazy to me… also, the Bennett grind was nice
i just havent picked up a pair yet this year, dont know where my ones from last year are lol THANKS for watching
Bam bam bam bam
They say its all about the fit
I say the right hat
They say its all about the kicks
I say the right stack
I completely forgot about this park lol.
still a banger vid
i appreciate that THANKS!
It's a fun box, but in winter weather it's called a sh*t box. Everything is sh*t box when it's 20 degrees.
I know who Wall Man is! They were all good, but he was the best of the bunch!
Anymore brain busters for ya! 😂

These kinda sessions are more relatable but you guys throw down hard nonetheless
ahh thank you! we were struggling haha
I agree with shane 😂 the little box is the funbox 😂
I'm probably wrong... But to me a pyramid is a potential feature of a fun box.. They're both fun boxes to me, and if the box has at least 3 walls of the pyramid... it's a pyramid... went out to ambler yesterday there was ice everywhere
That outdoor park is always filled with puddles there’s no drainage, go to the yard if you’re in ambler it’s the best indoor park on the east coast imo
@@degerdisad they closed so many tri-state indoor parks over the last decade
in germany we call it we do something over the table
u could also call it bank to bank
The pants without the upper front two pockets, just regular ones please we need it!
❤❤❤
sheesh yall got noooo snow, i got 9 inches outside Buffalo sheesh
I would call that a tabletop
Hey Tom! I’m about to purchase a pair of two nine 8’s and was wondering how es shoes are running now a days. True to size? It’s my first pair in a very long time. I hope all is well brother keep shreddin
