Four Things to Worry About When Fighting "Iron Mike" Tyson:
    1. His right upper-cut: It can kill you, even though Mike is left-handed.
    2. His left hook: knocks most people down or out.
    3. His right cross: can put you down.
    4. His liver punch: can disable and seriously injure you.
Now if you can avoid those four punches, you should do well against him. :-)

That lead hand short hook to the body is brilliant if you have the head and body speed to pull it off. That contact involuntarily makes an opponent's lead hand elbow tuck in from the pain and impact. You then have half a second to exploit the gap that creates using either an uppercut or another short hook to the head. Most people are not expecting their lead ribs to get crushed...your elbow will tuck; you pretty much can't stop it. Brilliant move...if not already down they are focused on their lead side, and he circles with a wide hook to the other side.

There will never be another heavyweight as agile and powerful as Tyson. He was ahead of his time. Just throwing hooks and uppercuts relentlessly. For every punch thrown another punch followed. He was always ready to throw an onslaught of blows.. The guy didn't let up until his opponent dropped to the canvas.. Too bad D'Amato couldn't stick around a little longer. Firing Rooney didn't help.. Despite Tyson's hardships, he is still one of the best, if not the best when he was fighting in his prime.. If you watch Mike's attacks (especially his early stuff) you can see how well studied he was in Jack Dempsey's style. That roll and drop step was very evident

This guy's focus and determination was unrivaled.... for YEARS. He worked his ass off to become unstoppable. You could just see it in his eyes at the face off. He already knew he was going to floor his opponent, every time.

Iron Mike couldn't be stopped. He was putting people down in less than a minute and pissing people off because they were paying big bucks to cable providers to buy the fights. He was so good the boxing world set him up for the rape charge hoping that time in prison would slow him down. If he would have had a trainer really taking care of him, keeping him out of trouble, he may have never gone to prison and he could have gone undefeated. Iron Mike, you were truly the greatest in my opinion. Just saying.

    • @chain-breaker4585

How did the boxing world set him up for a rape charge- that just sounds slightly like you are trying to defend a man who raped a woman. Dont get me wrong I love Mike Tyson as a boxer but I don't see how you can be set-up by the entire boxing community for a rape charge. (I dont mean to try to start a fight here, I have just never heard anything about the rape charge possibly being fake.)

The way the inch slides across his body, and then crack, kaboom, it's like watching cracking glass, like seeing the sun set, they're just not going to recover when he hits them, and then that pure aggression dominance, it's the fury of a thousand million generations of killing, violence and there's beauty in that.
