Once you get this Torana going and actually drive it , you just might change your mind about Torana's. These are a drivers car, nimble and can be powerful. Take it around your speedway track and see just how confident it feels when its sideways.

They did manage to win Bathurst , defeating the fastest street car of the time. This was due to nimble handling and power to weight. Why do you think they are worth so much now??? Because those who owned and drove them , loved them. In 1972 these could out drive almost anything else on the road.

Be great for the channel to go a 4 door to 2 door conversion. Grab a couple of 2 door doors and build up the body from there .. Bothe the 4 door & 2 door share the same roof line so it very do-able !!

I sold a 2 door lj that was better than than and im a panel beater. To get that back on the road is min 50k spent. Parts on it are worth more than fixing that body

I have a plan , you should get the Torana running and driving , we should drive towards each other , I’ll drive from mid SA and meet you half way, and we’ll swap cars and return in the direction we come from , then someone from Adelaide will drives half way to me and swap cars again , and so on till it gets to its destination 😅👌🏽
As for saving old Aussie cars, i got 2 Valiants need saving, a CM sedan and a VF Hardtop coupe, videos are on my channel here, if anyones interested. Country SA
Be careful with the under dash, if it's in good condition that part alone is worth more then the rest of that car. And unless you do a lot of work to the chassis rails and floor that car won't be driving anywhere soon, PS you do realize every part to these cars are welded together including the door hingers, just giving you a heads up. IF it was a 2 door in that condition, YES build it, but this is not worth $$s its going to cost for parts. And the work to get it drivable on the road and still leaving it looking beat up will still be to much work and $$, trust me I've built a dozen of these little cars.
I wouldn't be sticking my head under that rear control arm and spring in a hurry. Not much left holding that in place. And that Crown looks waaaaayy to neat for an Auto Karnage car

The only thing worth anything on a Camara was the J tronic ECU, they were the first ECU setup people used for ECU conversions. Now will be obsolete too for that since the availability of OBD2 aftermarket setups
