It’s a great thing that Kylian Mbappe doesn’t care about what position he plays at Real Madrid next season because as a professional footballer going into a club that you’ve been dreaming of playing at, that’s the right attitude and approach that a player should have. Ancelotti will have to make sure that he gels in this team irrespective of tactical decisions, Mbappe is a perfect fit for Real Madrid. For me, I think Mbappe plays his best football off the left side as he’s more of an elite winger than a striker, due to the fact that he played half of his minutes as a center forward in his final season at PSG and he played there for the France national team at the EUROs even if he didn’t play well, since Real Madrid has a world class player in Vinicius Junior who plays on the left the same role as him, he knows that he’ll have to play as a striker even though it’s not his preferred position. I always believe that for club and country, players need to adapt to whatever position their manager asks them to play because as a footballer, you have a lot of ability and should be able to adapt and play in multiple roles. Of course you don’t want to play a player of his caliber in a position that he’s not and take away some of his best strengths, at Real Madrid, Mbappe is playing under Carlo Ancelotti who’s a great manager when it comes to working with superstars, look at his track record with attackers he’s worked with and because he’s going to be playing with Vini Bellingham and Rodrygo, those guys will be feeding him the ball and while he’s not a back to goal type of player, he could be asked to be a goalscoring threat a runner in behind or someone who’s in the right place at the right time in the box even though he isn’t a poacher.
He’ll be a free roaming forward and he’ll often switch sides with Vini or Rodrygo, but with the player that they have in their team and he’ll be around a much better midfield, Mbappe doesn’t need to drop deep to collect the ball especially when you have players who need to feed him the ball and that’s what you have to do. He’s the exact sort of player that they needed and he’s ready to bang in goals for fun: Mbappe at Real Madrid has that mindset of someone who’s committed and has that attitude that “I don’t care what position I’m asked to play, as long as I’m doing my job, scoring goals and helping the team win games”, that’s all that matters.
Lol that's all for the media . Mbappe is a superstar, he won't play second fiddle to anyone. He too the no 9 alright because he knows after Modric goes he will get his prefered number. As for the Left wing Position I don't think he will compromise . Also how many forwards are they gonna play ?
Rodrygo becomes a rw being a lw. Vinicius is switching from lw to st. And so are there many other examples. The best players are able to adapt and evolve.
