Marvel Select Destroyer Articulation Mods and Review
Вставка

- I didn't have much exposure to the Destroyer except a handful of comic appearances and then of course in Thor, so when Diamond Select announced the character for their Marvel Select action figure line I wasn't too excited about grabbing it. But add boredom and a comic shop with it in stock and you get a Robo willing to drop some money. And holy hell am I glad I did, this thing is amazing! Yeah, I do a couple of articulation modifications but even without that it's just a great piece! The mods were inspired by NcurableKollector, you can check him out on Instagram below-

Also, I don't have many Selects, but I like getting the "big guys" like Venom, Hulkbuster, etc. They scale great with Legends.
I do the same, or if it really catches my eye like the Thor. I have Rhino, Thing, Abomination, and a few others hanging out in various places.
Brave man doing a custom in one take, respect man.
Thanks man. Odd thing, it's gotten to where I didn't even think about it, just put multitool to plastic and started shaving away. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
J. Boogie I second that have you worked a mod on Mr. Sinister. His cape looks like the old style car wash flaps. Amazing work man!
Another fantastic review! Thank you so much for showing the process of modding the articulation on this figure. I just got my Destroyer in the mail and absolutely plan on busting out the Dremel to up the pose-ability.
I'm happy to have helped, glad you dug it!
Thanks for showing the modding process. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about modding but would like to know more, it was very educational
Awesome, glad I could help.
This was a really cool video! Rarely do I see reviewers on the fly just customizing their figure on the spot even though a lot of us collectors do it just to get more out of our figures. All in all this was very refreshing to see Robo. :)
It helped that I had seen it done and knew that it worked, but I used to love modding stuff. Just got away from it because of reviews and such taking a lot of my time. But if I can incorporate that into reviews, two birds one stone. Hmm. But I'm glad you dug it, I'll see if I can make it happen more often.
Loved the modifying with Robo segment that was very surprising in a review. The Loki I believe is from the first Thor movie.
I may try to do more of that in the future.
Robo, awesome modification. You knocked it out. Wow😲😲😲😲😲
That's a great marvel select figure! So much I had to pick up two of them. After watching your video I'm definitely going to try that mod brother. Thanks!
It's so easy, everything is hidden for the most part.
Thanks alot! By the way I love your videos, plz keep up the great work.
I'll definitely try, I'm glad you dig them!
I just got this for Easter! I'm going to display it with the Hasbro Marvel legends Thor!
Big ass Odin! That is now a figure I want! And I don't have any Marvel figures 😊 What a way to start. Besides looking awesome, it is a 'smart' design, with those hidden cuts. That made me like it even more. The added bonus head making it a 'Destroyer' - sure. Cute. I'll just display my armoured Odin, the All Father.
Great tip on increasing the articulation, and fun to see the magic of customising on camera. More of that, please!
When I've considered doing customizing on camera in the past I always thought painting or sculpting, which is a pain with the camera in front of me. But dremeling? Can do that all day long, haha, and it works out because I have so much that needs grinding.
Damn, dude! Looks amazing. Been debating this one for awhile. My buddy keeps texting me pics of his, but seeing it in motion...yeah, I need it. Good simple mods, too! Thanks, man. Ordering this bad boy now.
I'm with you. I like Destroyer to be massive so I think the size is perfect for Legends.
It's a good figure, the way they decided to make the body mold is nice. The only thing that bothers me a bit it how easy the shoulder pads come off at times.
If you slapped a cape on him with the Odin head then he'd look like a boss from Knights of The Round. Totally doing that with my figure!
Wow, I haven't thought of that game in forever, and I don't remember if we made it far enough to hit a boss. I just remember the roommate constantly grabbing gold while I was fighting.
The Fwoosh Lol I had it on my PSP when I was younger and while he wouldn't exactly look like a boss from the game he would look like he belonged in it.
Awesome to hear you were in OKC. if you're heading back at some point, give me a shout and I can hip you to a cool vintage toy store.
Awesome mod, especially the head. Paint the underside head cavity black and you won't even see it. Thanks for showing this.
Ah, that's true, good idea!
Just ordered this yesterday from my local comic shop it'll look great with the rest of my Asgardians. I'm mad I don't have that loki saw him on clearance at Walmart for $10 years ago when I first started collecting and passed on him I'm still kicking my self for that one
I really like marvel selects cause I mostly keep my figures posed and still, so they're more static than Legends but nice to look at
I picked this up tonight from my local shop, he’s pretty cool. I had to straighten the sword, but it was otherwise prefect. He might look cool fighting the Legends version of Black Knight
Love seeing the customising work. Keep it up
Loved the video and the mods! Keep em coming, really enjoyed this vid;)
Thanks, I'm thinking of doing the mod part more often, people seemed to like it.
I need this fig in my life.
You do, it's definitely worth the $25.
Great review bro!!! I don't really collect Marvel Select but this figure is so amazing I just have to get one. Although I'm not handy at all so I won't be using a dremmel on mine. Truthfully my heart stopped watching you work on yours LOL...
Damnit this review pushed me into getting him
Heh, sorry.
Much better. Love it.
Fantastic job !!
Awesome Figure
I love when marvel select make the bigger bulky guys, might have to get him. Even tho I was never really into thor..
Same here, exactly, but this one is super nice even if you're not into the property.
The Fwoosh keep your eyes open for the select age of ultron hulk. wicked figure
I love the diamond select figures for the most part I was one of the suckers who got the really bad Spider-Man figure
Which really bad Spider-Man?
Dam I need a Dremel! I've been getting into the habit of freeing up articulation on all the Selects I buy, but I use an Xacto Knife.
Many many years ago I did the same but after a lot of bloody thumbs and fingers I finally invested, haha. Saves a lot of cuts and a lot of time.
I have the wolverine select but I didn't take him
Out I MEAN
awesome work dude...🖒🖒😎
Can u also review the colossus marvel select
It's an older figure but I'm thinking of doing some mods, may have to film that.
Mine is arriving tomorrow. I wish it had fists
Yeah, I didn't think of that but I would have liked a set of fists.
Robo are you going to buy the new marvel select Guardians of the Galaxy?
Grabbed those the day they went up. I already have two Legends versions displayed, might as well go with the third set. That and they look awesome.
Out I mean
Robo, can I ask what heat gun you use?
I use an older model of this one: bit.ly/2kqYzgo
The Fwoosh i see. Thanks man! Love your reviews
I appreciate that, thanks!
Why must he look like he let himself go
I'm not a fan of this figure. It's just a bit blank.
Great review bro!!! I don't really collect Marvel Select but this figure is so amazing I just have to get one. Although I'm not handy at all so I won't be using a dremmel on mine. Truthfully my heart stopped watching you work on yours LOL...
Haha, man, sometimes you just gotta tear into the plastic of a toy you just opened. It's therapeutic.
