I really liked this episode and the respect that it showed to the Deaf Community. I've learned ASL off and on ever since I was a kid. I really liked the beginning of this clip where the bad guy asks Gage and Sydney where they were going and Gage said: "I was going to use the men's room." Bad guy says: "Slick, that isn't the men's room." Then, Sydney says: "Oh good, it's the womens."

By the time this episode aired it was official that Chuck Norris was ending Walker, Texas Ranger's run after Season 8 concluded. I was hoping that they would do a spin-off with Gage and Sidney starting the upcoming fall to keep WTR's legacy going. I was upset that they never did that.

Just because he’s deaf doesn’t mean he can’t see to fight. I’ve never seen Chuck Norris fight as a deaf guy, but I have seen him beat up guys with his hands tied behind his back in the ancient Chuck Norris movie called An Eye for an Eye. I wish I could find that clip because I haven’t seen it in decades.

Blind people can tune their hearing to sounds. You heard the saying, "blind as a bat"? Bats use echoing to fly around.
Gage was really angry at the man that took his hearing, but he did the right thing in not shooting him like that. I wish he and Sydney got to love each other.
