    Scary thing about this video is it's only his sophmore year, can't wait to see what he is like next season, could be one best linebackers next year.

  • @irishhunter100

    In one of his media day interviews, he said he ran the 40 yard dash for an official 4.35. He is the fastest Linebacker in College football, if not one of the fastest players overall. :-)

    Ryan Shazier is straight Thug! Not in a derogatory gang-banger sense, but in a "I'm gonna shatter your vertebrae" sense. He benched 225 25x at the combine! Just needs to bulk up a lil

  • @ryancollins6748

    This guy looks like the next Bowman. I remember when my Niners drafted Bowman everyone said he was too small to play ILB in our 3-4 and look at him now. Shazier and Bowman are both athletic freaks who are just as good at getting off of blocks and making plays in the running game as they are in coverage. the 2014 draft will have a lot of very good LB's but Shazier looks like the #1 LB to me. between Shazier and Mosley it will be a battle for the top LB

  • @charleslastname1695
    @charleslastname1695 12 років тому

    Oh! Thanks for the clarification:) now I'll know to use that. You can just tell how fast he is by watching him.

  • @SuperSparrow45
    @SuperSparrow45 12 років тому

    It depends on which defense you run. Te'o is a 3-4 ILB, and was always back in coverage. In addition because of Te'o and All-American NT Louis Nix, most teams avoided busting it up the middle for obvious reasons. Despite this, Te'o was still finding the ball all over the field.

    It's funny you compare him to Bowman because that's exactly what I saw too. The way he fights through traffic and just lays the wood you can tell he has great run-read instincts. He'll put on some weight and be real good.

    Well Shazier's 40 time is probably in the 4.5 range. He has the ability to go to the draft after junior year and either drop 5 pounds and play strong safety or gain 10 pounds and play outside linebacker. Shazier is a more valuable player and he's never scared to hit some one the way Te'o was scared to hit Lacy.

  • @mikeynutt1939

    Kids a straight monster...I'd hate to go up against him but it sucks he went to the steelers...philly could've used him alot...but oh well he's a great athlete and one of the best buckeyes ever!

    I'm glad he's a Buck, and hopefully a future Detroit Lion. This dude is a beast!!! Could be one of the best LB in the nation!!! I think he's gonna be better than Manti Te'o. Hopefully we'll spend our next year's first round pick on him, cause next year's draft is gonna be loaded with LB's, and our LB's are garbage. They don't make plays, and they can't tackle. He would look great behind Suh, Fairley and Ziggy. GO BUCKS!!! GO LIONS!!!

      As close as Chris Borland to what? On a serious note, if you want to say "every aspect" you actually have to consider "every aspect." Shazier is better in almost every statistical category. Hell, you could even make a case for their draft projections.
