I'm going to be getting a sugar glider for Christmas and I'm really excited! Later this week I'm going to clean my old bird cage and use it for the sugar glider. For now I can only get one sugar glider because they're so expensive, but later on I'll get another one. I've been doing tons of research and have been watching tons of videos about them and I did find this one very helpful, thank you!
Very good information. Thank you for putting out good content! Not super easy to find on UA-cam regarding sugar gliders especially.... one huge reason I started my channel 😊. Keep it up!
I got the Madagascar Sugar Glider Cage. It came with wire ramps and shelves. Do I leave those in the cage for them to walk on? I don't think I saw any in your cage. Thank you for your help!
Hi! May I ask where you got the shelving? I just bought a similar cage by Exotic Nutrition(Brisbane Cage) and it doesn't come with shelving. I really like size of the shelves in yours
Hello Kimberley, I need your information on where you got your sugar glider cage , I know that you said that you got it through amazon . May I have the ASIN please so I can see about ordering won please.
Loved the video!! Very informative!! Like👍3 . How are the Gliders doing? They are too cute 🥰The Cage is very cool. You didnt keep any Tree branch for them to run across? Will it be possible to keep one in the cage? Just a suggestion. Love the cage😍 Good job👍
You definitely could. I don’t like using wood because it really holds the urine smell. I use fleece ropes and plastic chains on some set ups, but I thought this one looked complete as it was 😊
Thanks. Only thing I was worried was you said you only clean once a month. But then you say you change the bottom weekly. Was a bit confusing and I’m stuck wondering how often I should change them
That’s great! There have been some claims that is resulted in a few gliders deaths with them getting caught behind the wheel though, so I don’t use mine anymore:) but I’m glad it works for you!
The double critter nation is what I have now. I like it but I prefer the exotic nutrition cages with the vertical bars. I also like that the tray goes under the bars so the gliders aren’t directly walking on the poo and pee. The cage in this video is from Walmart and it’s their 69 inch cage. I think it might even be on sale for $150, if it is I would snatch it up. It’s just like the EN Congo cage and 100% glider proof and well made:) (just zip tie the small doors so they can’t open them)
@@mypawfectfamily I'll definitely look into the cage in this video. I was thinking about a critter nation before but didn't like the idea of the tray being on top of the bar instead of under for the same reason. Thank you so much I truly appreciate it :)
@@mypawfectfamily I have three gliders and I really appreciate that you make videos about sugar gliders because there aren't a lot of people on UA-cam that do. 😀
Jenna Uusitalo Thanks A lot of the videos I have seen are advocating for really out dated care. I’m definitely not even close to an expert, but I like sharing other experts into. I have 3 as well, I have a standard, and 2 mosaics.
I would think it depends on the glider. Some are bigger and more mischievous than others. You could always try it for like a week and keep the cage in a bathroom or tent incase they escape

Some people use them! I prefer to give them gliding space! I think one level or two is great, but it’s def not necessary:)
I don’t have sugar gliders but still, very informative video! 🥰

It really depends, I have a bigger cage now and sometimes I don’t even clean it once a month. I would say just play it by ear:)
do you think a ferret cage with a lot of ramps because i cant find a good cage with out them
I was wondering if you could put the link in the comments if you still have it. I would really appreciate it.
Link for the cage?
I don’t have the exact link but a similar one is the exotic nutrition Congo cage!
I have an exotic nutrition silent wheel, it’s great!

This helped me a lot but do you know where I can get that wheel I can’t find a pink one anywhere
I talk about it in my glider safe wheels video! But it’s a custom cruiser wheel! Love it and it’s made by Bourbon Hackworth
My Pawfect Family thank you so much
Nice vid let’s grow
I have suggies and would love a video on DIY toys
Oh that sounds fun! I’ll be sure to add it to my list 😊
How many gliders do you have? So cool to see more people with them

hi, i just bought my cage. i didnt check the bar spacing and its 14mm. half an inch is 12mm. is it too large?
I would think it depends on the glider. Some are bigger and more mischievous than others. You could always try it for like a week and keep the cage in a bathroom or tent incase they escape
Do you possibly have a link for the cage?
It’s very similar to the exotic nutrition Congo cage:)
My friend and I just got two boys.
same my cage just 1 year already rusty i regret buying this kind of cage. better i go with stainless steel even if its expensive.
