- In the fourth and final installment of the 2014 Tiger Muay Thai Tryout series, a few hours after the Big Buddha run, the athletes compete in the Songkran Scramble, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu grappling tournament hosted by Tiger Muay Thai with participants from other gyms around the island.
Tiger Muay Thai invited 26 up and coming MMA and Muay Thai athletes from around the globe to compete against each other for a spot on our professional fight teams and a years scholarship training at our camp in the tropical island of Phuket, Thailand.
Of the 26 invitees, only seven scholarships were given, five MMA and two Muay Thai. Find out who made it to the 2014 Tiger Muay Thai fight team.

Awesome watching this in 2019 and seeing Alex volkanovski
I wish there were these kind of opportunities out there when I was 21-22-23! Great job Tiger Muay Thai for offering these kids an opportunity to build their careers whilst making entertaining fight productions!
This is the most inspiring thing i could have ever seen, i train in a few different styles but had to put it all on hold for a year and a half due to becoming very ill. Next week ill be stating my training again, this was something i needed to open my eyes that anything is possibly. Thankyou.

That volkanovski guy looks like he has some potential. He could be a pro fighter if he sticks at it.

It's my Dream to study here at Tiger don't think it will ever happen tho
I'm thinking about starting muay thai, not to compete but for self protection, fitness and everything else. I'm 6'1 and quite heavily built. Is being to heavily built a bad thing for muay thai? or being to tall? I know having a good reach from your limbs can be good if you are tall, but I don't feel to agile.
+Joshua Phillips Our Muay Thai trainers can adapt a style for any body build, don't worry
+Joshua Phillips My gym has a lot of taller bigger dudes training muay thai, they do just as good as the smaller guys.
Well Peter Aerts, Ernesto Hoost, Gerome Le Banner, Remy Bonjasky, and Badr Hari are all huge heavyweight muay thai/kickboxers at the elite level. Legends.
Work on your flexibility. It really helps especially with kicking.

Dan fraser is kinda looking like Andrea Galvao but smaller
What is up with the ears? It seemed swollen for some.
TheDHEL13 Many fighters have "cauliflower ear" caused by intense grappling sessions.
Tiger Muay Thai and MMA Training Camp, Phuket, Thailand Grappling? I thought it was from punches and kicks to the ear. That's good to know for me because I prefer Muay Thai/Kick Boxing.
Sam A u can get it from grappling and striking
Only warriors get them

Oh I see, ty.
Why are these Muay Thai fighters spending two episodes on BJJ?
They are MMA fighters.
I get that... but it's Tiger Muay Thai Team, keyword being Muay Thai
That is the name of the gym. We also teach MMA, BJJ, boxing, wrestling and muay boran.
คนฝึกผมยาวๆ ฝึกรุนแรงไปป่าวว่ะเหมือนมันเอาจริง
I don't mean this to be negative but why doesn't TMT do better in MMA they seem so legit.
We are doing pretty well, check out Valentina & Antonina Shevchenko, Petr Yan, Mairbek Taisumov, Kairat Akhmetov, Loma Lookboonmee etc. ;)
