What caught my attention was how much the camera showing the cockpit view of the Thar wobbled compared to the Nexon.. and that too on probably one of the best tarmacs in the nation
Thar is meant to crawl over rocks. The nature of the engine is meant for low end torque, so is the gearing. Plus they have toned down the Nexon EV's launch considerably compared to what it was launched in Jan 2020.
Tata and Mahindra have raised the bar in terms of price, performance & reliability for both European and American brands available here. I wish they also catch up and give tough competition to the Japanese and Korean brands in terms of quality and refinement.
Thar had a good launch because of 4x4, whereas Nexon EV runs on front wheels and immediate acceleration causes wheelspin so all power is wasted. It was not shocking for the ones who knows the science. Might be shocking for the anchor.

I think in long run thar will win the drag race because even Nexon goes ahead after half of distance the thar slowly recovers it distance again but that right both are made by indian brand and both are proud 🦚🦚🦚

I have the Thar Petrol Automatic and honestly it’s engine performance is more impressive than most of the Turbo petrol DCT cars I’ve owned and driven.

That's exact opposite to what I was expecting. I thought Nexon will lead in the first half and Thor would overtake it in the end.
EVs are Bolts. They start out chill and end up leaving the rest in the dust.
