Who would win a fight? Ents Vs Trolls???
Troll easily, far stronger, and wood would not be hard to snap and break when you're at that size.
Now it would depend on which ent of course, old ones would definitely have an advantage due to age and experience, but still it's not like a troll vs an ent is like a regular human vs an ent, if iron/wooden gates get smashed by trolls then wooden ents would be no problem for them either.
Ents are too smart. They'd wear trolls out before the reached them
Its an issue in Third age mods that rauting units open the gates, and then the chasing units capture the gate so defenders can't close it. That is what happened to defenders in the end of the battle

in the books tolkien says that trolls are just a crude mockery of ents and that trolls have only a portion of an ents full strength. ents are slower to action than trolls but once they decide to fight they'll level anything in their way. they tore up isengard like a toddler tears up a tower of blocks. i'd say ents win easily.

Every time there's some kind of fantasy world setting I always love the Dwarves in them. Moves, tv, games, etc etc. I always like them and play that race/faction when it comes to games.

May I suggest a series of conquest using the mods good vs evil pvp if you can say either side has to advance to ones kingdom with battle scenarios from open field to siege warfare .

i hate that medieval 2 still has the best feeling combat, all the newer total wars have this floaty combat and arcady feel to it
it just run so smooth compared to other tw´s. Attila is great imho buta bit laggy and stuff like troy is very ´´meh´´ at best :D
Personally I love these battles but If Synn of The Dark Cloud was in this battle it would have been that much better. But I love the content and I always look forward to more Third Age so... YEEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This settlement is called Dale it's always been a 3 layered settlement and with the dwarves of erebor, the men of dale and the elves of mirkwood defending it, that part is pretty lorefriendly
Apollo when he sees a little to big of a sword: man, this is kinda to far, a little to fantasy
Apollo when he sees magic from witchers deleting units: man, i love them
I am pretty certain the dwarves were the only ones to beat thier opposing force to cut the other slack they did fight 2v1 while the dwarves mostly fought 1 army

I think it depends on the age of the Ent. If we are just taking an average troll vs an average Ent, the Ent is winning so easily.
Yes, also trolls were made in mockery of the Ents, corrupted by the dark lord. But just as the orcs are weaker than Elves trolls are weaker than Ents.

Reforged got new patch recently, it is still a test phase but it is worth checking out for some replays.

This was a great battle but wow there were some huge mistakes from the good guys here. Not retreating sooner especially with Dale. Not committing their troops on the second level and just letting them get flanked, they either have to full commit everyone or retreat super early. Having said they they ended very strongly and managed to win. Wow

This is why I love the Dwarves. They’re such mad lads and are just so chunky and beefy and are just so hard to beat.

Think it all depends on the Ent, if Ent takes a very long time to decide Trolls a threat.
Lorewise, Morgoth made Trolls to combat the Ents and even then, the Ents were superior.

Ent would definetly win against troll, if we consider the books as source. In Two towres Treebeard clearly claims that ents are much stronger:

What a great battle! I hope we get more. Reforged never gets old. BTW Ents would smash trolls. I think the Reforged developers should have made Ents far stronger than Trolls in game.
If you want to win, defending your castle, take your entire army and put it in the keep
Between the keeped wall, and the secondary wall is a kill zone that all of your archers will just love protects all of your strong melee fighters then when they finally get close sally out to face them with like half a they’re man left
Not only that the only thing going for evil, most of the time is numbers, they have to go through multiple checkpoints and then attack a checkpoint just to get you
