    Hi Goodly, Fantastic video ! In the UK we often work with 4-4-5 week months for a financial year. It would make a good video to build a date table and some growth and average analysis etc for this kind of financial year. BI is growing fast in the UK

    Hi, I like the method of explaining all the concepts in an easy and understandable way.
    Please also explain why you used Divide(CY,LY)-1 instead of just Divide(CY,LY).

    Your video is amazing. I just have a question but what if we are trying to show a sales trend in that case also it should work the same way like aug to aug or we can consider 12 months?

    Hello Goodly, I used this and it worked like a dream! Thank you very much. I would like to know how it can be amended to compare yearly spend to a baseline year (currently 2019/20 due to the impact of COVID-19. Thanks for your help.

    I am very new to Power BI and was wondering if your Growth calculation will work if we want to look at multiple years? If my current year is only 9 months worth of data will it compare only 9 months of each year or will the older years compare all 12 months? Thank you!

    How did you do the totals sales calculations-I tried to find it in your playlist but I could not? I am using sameaspreviousyear to calculate PY, but it’s returning the incorrect value. I don’t know what I am doing incorrectly. My data is L12M by day CY & PY and I’ve sorted it by fiscal period.

    Thank you for the useful videos. A request: I need to multiply sales of different fiscal years by a different number (factor). For e.g., if FY20, multiplication factor is 89%; if FY21, 87% and so on. Thank you so much for your help.

    This is amazing and super helpful. I am having a difficult time finding a way to do this calculation, but with a fiscal calendar that changes dates every year. We have 13 periods and each period is 28 days. Any guidance or tips would be extremely helpful.

    • @gravestoner2488
      @gravestoner2488 Рік тому

      Add a day of year index column to your date table. Start it at 0. Divide the index by 28, remove the decimal, and add 1, and leave the whole number in a column called "period" then do it again, this time find the remainder of the division, add 1, this is the date within the period.
      Day 28 of the year = 28th day of 1st period.
      28 = index 27
      27/28 = 0.decimal - decimal + 1 = period 1
      27/28 reminder = 27 + 1 = 28th day in period

    Kindly help. I am working for matrix presentation here.

    Great video... Quick question: Why are you using 2 calendars instead of one? You could have one calendar and have one active date relationship and use a calculate modifier like Userelationship ... What am I missing? Thank you

    • @MichalTyborski
      @MichalTyborski 2 роки тому

      You cannot use userelationship If you want to add row level security after, so Goodly solution is better.
