I find your video's so helpful. I'm a first-time mom and my daughter is three and she has autism so I'm learning a whole bunch of different things and just trying to find a schedule and routine that works for me and her on top of having my work schedule. I just got her evaluated for ABA therapy so I'm hoping that can help me with my parents and skills and I'm just learning a lot more of what I need to learn to help her become successful thank you for all your videos I appreciate learning off of you and your experience to help me along the way.

I'm struggling with this. I am the one with my 3yo all day everyday and he actually is attached to me and doesn't play with his toys unless I join him but that leaves no time for me to accomplish anything. I want to stay engaged with him because I know it's good for him to be this way but the moment I step away he starts throwing his toys. He also flip flops what he likes almost every other day so it's hard to find the best reinforcements. I am gonna keep working I love the book so far about halfway and taking lots of notes.

You could try close ended activities beside you like puzzles or blocks while you need to be busy.

Hello Mam. Thank you for all your videos. Can you please share some good apps which we can have our kids play with?

It really depends on the level of your child. I'd try some free trials and see what your child enjoys.

Very helpful video! I am working on creating a visual schedule for my severely autistic and nonverbal son. I like the idea of using a photo album with pictures to display a daily routine. I'm trying to devise something that I can hang in a central location of our house.

Great idea! The photo albums are in the location he has to go to do the task.

Maybe like a spiral ‘calendar’ type display? He can flip the page to the next task once he’s completed the first?

Thank you Mary, I recently found you and I’ve been listening to you. I have a 16 year old high functioning autistic son. He wanted to have a summer job but both interviews at fast food places did not hire him. That was the plan to keep him busy so now I’m confused, he’s not enthusiastic and energetic which are the requirements needed. He’ll get the work done but during the interview, he responds slow. Any ideas on interviewing tips? Do you think we should notify the jobs of his autistic behavior? The application doesn’t ask for it. I know you’re talking a lot about younger kids- any direction will be much appreciated. Thanks
