I have this. It's got a huge problem with galvanic corrosion because they cheaped out with materials for that VRM cooler. I wonder if they fixed it yet with newer ones. If you use the VRM, with EK for example, your looped is effed. The only way they'll fix it is for you to send in the whole board; they won't send a new one to you or parts to repair. Very poor response from ASUS on this.
Can ANYone here, explain me, if I do need this watercooling or not? I mean, what parts are that, to be watercooled? I read that some people used a AIO for the cpu. But what is with the rest then, with this... block on the board? I don't find ANY explaining in the internet, even not on their own website!
You don't need it. This is a board designed to be overlooked to the moon. The vrms have a normal heat sink that has water Chanels in so It can operate with or without you adding water cooling. This is also designed along with EK so it's easy to say this is meant for custom loop people.
tanıtım için teşekkür ederim asus anakart olarak üst düzey bir kart

der8aer actually tested this, The fault in the old board lied in the copper coated aluminium block. Now the block is copper annd nickel
The 690 had this problem, in the 790 they changed the material: ua-cam.com/video/APHoRW2FfIw/v-deo.html
@@messystressy Haahaaa, I saw the same video as you! ;-D
bought an z790 Formula and sended it back , poorly assembled causes bending around the mainboard
I just finished a my build with this MB and getting an error code - 66. Did you have any issues or problems?
No, worked like a charm for an entire review cycle.
The problem seem to be related to the RAM.
You need to check Yoda is ok.
Beautiful
Does it require a liquid cooling or can be run without it if extreme overclocking is not the case?
It can be run with out it. A bit higher VRM temp, I measured 67°C with IC thermometer.
Why are asus so stingy with the usb ports? easily space for another 2 especially for the price
Probably cause they need bandwidth for the two thuderbolt ports
