great job i loved this show played Audrey 2 .
Great performance!
speaking as someone whos worked around the Audrey II puppett, the main reason she wasn't moving on every sylable is how heavy the head is, it's gotta be at least 50 lbs, and is a huge strain on the arms and back.
The plant's delivery is close to the 60s plant
harsh, well the girl that was in our show was fantastic.
If there's one thing I find kinda weak it's the fact that when the plant goes "feed me"
Seymour reacts in a "Oh a plant is talking to me, how peculiar" sort of way, as opposed to being freaked out that a fucking plant is talking to him :P
In the beginning it sounds like the plant is singing off-key a bit, although it sounded really nice by the time he got to "big and strong"
Yeah, I could see the plant perfectly, Seymour walked out of the spotlight a couple of times but it was only for a sec. Besides it's the theater in the round, it sort of hard to have a plant eat people on a round stage.
I loved that, Audrey 2's voice was a little flat but I don't mind. I didn't like the random "and now it's time for a break" thing. My school did this show a couple of years a go and Audrey 2 was voiced by a girl, but she pulled it off perfectly.
thats not being poor...its called theatre in the round. Its a type of setup. Its different, adds to audience immersion.
heh welcome to theatre in the round, where else do you suggest putting it. And its not a spot light issue, he walked out of his light, big difference. Pay attention, there is no spotlight during those sections
Nice vid. 3 comments.
1. What was with the breakdance pause between the Ritz and Harley Machine verses?
2. The plant could have had a better job on the actual "look" of it
3. Cool ending. (I have seen/heard too many people put real effort into the "You/I need bood and he's got more than enough" part)
no one had a problem seeing the plant, and the plant was all the way to the ledge, he can't go any further towards the middle, or else you only see its back. And the first part at 0:57 ure talking about hes leaving the store, he is supposed to look like hes exiting why would a spot light follow him? He walks back into the light when he speaks. Im all for criticism but your complaints are silly sorry lol.
because of the seating the audience to the left of the plant cant even see it! they've given up the will to turn their heads! poor staging.
NEVER do this in the round!!!!!!
well maybe you should get a spotlight to at least follow people when they go offstage, that way people can see them. and you probably could have put the plant towards the corner, IN the main square, so people can see him better.
0:57, 6:00, and the very end of the video. it also happened in other videos. i noticed it alot in the dentist scenes.
Also, i dont like how y'all put Audrey II BEHIND some of the audience members. that would've annoyed me to have to turn around like that.
@JALEN0xCAPPUCCINO
no offense. but we are.
the voice wasn't done by a girl, the puppeteer was a girl.
No one cares
Boy that was one sucky audience! The performance was good, even though the plant should of have a deeper voice.
the audience is probs so 'crappy' because they are sat in the round and its difficult to watcg. some shows are designed for the round... little shop just isnt at all!!!
if this was staged the way it was written im sure it'd be better!
gosh, the lighting is pretty bad. every now and then, in a lot of these videos, the spotlight doesn't follow the character and they just disappear.
