This is a single-pipe alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria. You reach the summit via a cablecar and then sit on a small car with a brake lever and off you go. Having ridden it once using a little braking, I decided to try it a second time without using the brakes. This is SCARY! Enjoy the ride!

Did this years ago in Germany, it's really fun, but the ride I took took 30 seconds to complete. They charged 40 cents for every ride so I would often bring 2 euros and go down 5 times. Rhodeling is better than Rollercoasters

@@ninjacatfilms2046 It initially went viral in 2011...but since then there have been a few times when it has gone mini-viral...so this has happened before...which is really cool - basically I am no longer surprised by this sort of thing as it's all very unpredictable, but I enjoy it when any video gets a burst of interest.

Well the video might be old but there are plenty of views and comments - indeed this video makes up one third of all views on my channel this year - It has been watched over 630,000 times in 2021 so far, so despite its age it is very much alive :-)

Most of the signs are warnings for branches that may slap you in the face and some warnings for the people who don't want to ride full speed to use the breaks because a turn or airtime is coming.

if you ever come to Germany (idk if you've already been there), there is a Sommerrodelbahn near the Zugspitze which i can recommend for the adrenaline. It doesn't have a railing like the others, more like a half pipe shaped track where you go down with the sleds. The downside is that you can fall out of the corner which is why it has only 3 stars on Google maps
I've driven it when i was around 12 and it was awesome
That's an alpine slide - they are very cool, but also can be dangerous as you can come out of the trough - I crashed twice on a concrete one in USA and stil bear the scars!
I road this and definitely pulled the break a few times. I had my kid with me and I definitely would have still used the break but there were only 2 spots that I remember actually thinking it was necessary. This dudes insane.

There is a new single rail mountain coaster at Cypress Mountain in British Columbia Canada . I rode it today and it is very fun. That one even contains some airtime.
Interesting coaster that one...it's similar design to this one but by a company called Sunkid. They have built 11 mountain coasters.

Thank you very much for the ride. I'm so happy for experiencing this in front of my laptop; occasionally I get the impression the ride is far too steep for me to see in real life. Quite a lot of the trip goes mercifully through woods, but still I imagine this is a No Go Zone for people like me, suffering of fears of heights.
I am pleased you can at least experience it through the laptop - it was a scary experience even for me, and I have ridden a lot of roller coasters.

These sleds do break on their own when 40km/h are reached....! The old ones.... For example in Windischgarsten ( upper Austria)! They are badass.... You can easily fly out of the course
