I'm not anti-religion, but y'all are acting way overdramatic. It's not like the show was making fun of christ, or even the beliefs if others.
It might nake fun if the catholic church, an organization infamous for being unbecoming of their faith (there's a wikipedia page for sexually active popes.)
If such a minor critique of bad actors in your faith got you this viscerally upset, then you really need to look around.
How many times has rick and morty made fun of a specific group, or a hobby, or hell entire cultural beliefs in general, and how many times have you laughed at that?
If Christianity is acting as christ, trying to live as he did, than you have failed. Turning the other cheek is like, the THING he's known for. Y'KNOW, forgiveness and all that?
If the episode made you uncomfortable that's ok! We all have sore spots in places that many would scoff at, but we can't help. Express that discomfort, and move on.
But implying Christianity never be allowed to be portrayed in a comedic light at all less we be blasphamours is ridiculous.
Weird that there was offense taken over this episode when the Catholic Church systematically moved around pedophiles so they wouldn’t get caught

Great episode I just think it's interesting that for Rick and Morty to have a semi banger episode that reminds you of the old episodes, Morty had to act like an idiot and ruin everything basically acting out of character and throwing away his character development lol. Still a great episode tho I just thought about the formula. Not even high rn but this is one of those comments.

Good lord, it obviously was not. It was making fun of religious leaders, not the religions itself.
And besides, even if it was blasphemous to claim people in positions of religious power often abuse it, isn't Christianity all about turning the other cheek, and behaving as Christ would?

Man at this point being so overprotective about religion in comedy is kinda lame and pointless, like can't you laugh about yourself? At least they didn't make fun of Islam and Judaism wich are a little more salty about their beliefs being mocked. They took the Scandinavian approach because they know Scandinavians won't bitch and whine about it
