CPYB's Legacy of Excellence: Performances

A professional quality performance, such as Hineline’s Giselle, does not just happen. It is a unique component of CPYB’s because our students carry the entire ballet. From the corps de ballet through the principals, they produce a full-length classical ballet just as a professional company would. However, we are a school, and always will be. Through many incremental steps, choreography is taught, rehearsed, and characters are developed. The freedom to take chances and try different interpretations, and methodically, each individual component starts to become a whole production from everyone involved.
With this process comes something as important as the result. The lessons of resilience, perseverance, thoughtfulness, and understanding that a beautiful reward only comes through arduous work. There are no short cuts in life. There is no secret hack to a better result. That is what we mean by changing lives through dance.
