The reason merlin's atk seal is the only one that bypasses Meli's cleanse is cuz while gowther seals with an actual seal card merlin doesn't, she seals with her passive as such I believe that in the code Meli's passive cleanse is hard coded to immediately kick off after the third attack registers and as such a seal card would immediately seal meli and the right after meli would cleanse but merlin hits meli with the third attack and it still doesn't activate the seal cuz the seal isn't a card effect but a passive and probably Meli's passive just activates before her so he cleanses nothing then merlins passive kicks in and seals him.
And to be honest I'm kinda glad that there is a hard counter for meli in the form of summer merlin cuz honestly him and escanor are way WAY too fuckin oppressive it's too bad that she's so exclusive but thankfully she is in the banner currently so here's hoping everyone gets at least one copy of her, it's also unfortunate that escanor doesn't really have a hard counter but I do hope whoever can bring him down a notch comes out soon.
I hope they release a charecter that hard counters summer Merlin or just atk sealing because well double attack seal is a cuck team and its so annoying. I just wanna play the game not sit and move cards.
Actually most things which apply a non card effect debuff to meli trigger after the cleanse, same reason why attacking someone with Rtarmiel link during a cleanse attack will still get the disable after the cleanse triggers.

Its like liz's passive that activates after the entire skill is over. Meli cleanses just as the skill's animation ends but passive effects activate after the entire skill and all the effects around it have already activated. Passives that activate after a certain amount of skills used such as bloody liz's passive and merlins passive come after everything else
She's not really that exclusive she's in almost every single bad banner and every like 3rd good banner
what really sucks is drop rates and my luck
I think the team I am using counters this pretty well: Ultimate Escanor, Purg Meli, and Blue Fraudrin up front, with Green Valentine Melascula in the back. Red Tarmiel link on Meli.
For the F2P players: Use gilthunder in the back for the extra defense and run evasion food since you're F2P you WILL be going second and both gilthunder + evasion SHOULD be enough to let you at least survive turn-1.

I was thinking it'd be escanor in the front with Merlin and esca but yeah that makes sense lol, im surprised at how little I see Merlin though. Literally once since meli dropped

I have tried getting this outfit for gowther. Where can I get it? I can not find it anywhere. Have I missed out on it? I've played since day 1 but I wasn't totally serious about it at first just having fun so I'm guessing I missed an event
Me personally the team bag is using I haven't had any trouble beating real players using that time whilst I'm using demons
Doesnt Meli only get the 40 % boost from a stance or debuff when he has Magic on himself? I think the wording on his passive is kinda confusing.
He does extra DMG against debuffed enemies or enemies who are using a stance

i feel like this team is more toxic than fraudrin or liz because at least you can actually use skills but against this team you just sit there unless you have a stance or debuff

There’s no reason not to keep summoning on this banner if you don’t have or need these units on it. Worst case scenario you get dupes for Meli, win/win in my opinion!
Depends on your box. If you don't have many of the useful units like freyr and thonar I would continue
I have thonar but for pvp i use Elizabeth so should I buy her costume or summon
@@HaHa-wo2np I think summoning for pve characters is more important than costumes for your pvp characters, but that depends on what you think.

@@mercurius06 you will also surprise in loose as well. So far i record of winning against dodge food and fruadrin is 9 wins out of 10.
@@xtc3530 definitely not 100% since most people already guess they just a simple skill first and big ones in 2nd. Which happens 90% of time. Evasion is really good against ludosheil, gowtar, one ultimate team.
@@xtc3530 I'm hopping between Challenger III and II ungeared so it works for me. 60-70% win rate and I dont have new meli. Just an 3/6 Esca. You just have to know the enemy units and as well pure RNG with cards you and enemy get.

@@shawnp1780 it’s better than sealing. All you do is ult rush turn one with blue liz. My 5/6 escanor goes brrrr. One turn team wipe. Team is the one ultimate, blue liz twigo with relic, green og Merlin. Ult food. Tarmiel link on twigo cause he only has to buy 1-2 attacks most likely. Liz dies, heals and gives 2 orbs. Escanor now is fully healed. You start the battle at 3 and the second they kill her your full. Or the second you rush it if they don’t wanna attack and cause it to happen. Attack disable doesn’t work. If you try to dissolve than blu liz cleanses so that I’d still get it. The only way to stop me being a level 3 oae from escanor
@@shawnp1780 well buddy i am in champions 3. And i am just playing 1 match in ungeared only. I am in platinum 4 in elite i am using Chandler, estarosaa and meli, one ultimate in back. So yeah i am liz just for 1 win and for win no shame. 😅 Low cc player 3M box cc.

@spideysam1400 I can understand a lower cc account using the team. Especially to get your wins for gems. But I've run into the same person running it just to play. I just don't get as much enjoyment from ult rushing. I am like nag I like oooga Booga numbers. Either 1st turn kill a unit or out play the person is what I like.

super toxic team. I faced a guy twice in a row and won even though he was using this Sh*tty steam. then a faced a second guy we attack disabled and gowther ulted be and I raged quite after like 5 turns of this nightmare, and this happened even though I killed his Merlin in the first turn cause I went first I mean yes he got so lucky in gowther cards
