I enjoy this so much. Music and lyrics are something different entirely. I love both, but it takes a certain kind of mind to understand the story and feeling that comes from simply the music. No words and voices, but just the beautiful waves and tones of the notes and how they blend together to make their own story and feeling given to the listener. "I think now, looking back, we did not fight the enemy, we fought ourselves and the enemy was in us. The war is over for me now, but it will always be there the rest of my days. As I'm sure Elias will be, fighting with Barnes for what Rha called possession of my soul. There are times since, I've felt like a child, born of those two fathers. But be that as it may, those of us who did make it have an obligation to build again. To teach to others what we know. And to try with what's left of our lives to find a goodness and meaning to this life." DEDICATED TO THE MEN WHO FOUGHT AND DIED IN THE VIETNAM WAR -From the Oliver Stone film: Platoon
I stumbled across this while searching for some sleep music. the first instrumental sounded so familiar. Then I couldn't sleep till I figured it out. Finally Oliver Stone's movie Platoon popped in my head. Then I thought "I can sleep now" . Wrong lol. Now it's playing another Familiar tune.
Nothing to be embarrassed about, Howard! We're glad you enjoy the compilation 😊 If you like film music we'd love to hear what you think about this mix: ua-cam.com/video/G9IQSJz__tI/v-deo.html

Of all the compilations you have made available, this one is my favorite. It is subtly powerful, thankfully uplifting, and yes, hauntingly beautiful. Well done yet again, Halidon!

And to try with what's left of our lives to find a goodness and meaning to this life."
DEDICATED TO THE MEN WHO FOUGHT AND DIED IN THE VIETNAM WAR
-From the Oliver Stone film: Platoon

A red rustico while I listen and work. Not bad...
likely mix, thanks :)
Beautiful song! 🎶
10 seconds in and im a fan
The eye of the beholder plucked.... a world of the blind.... how do so few people apricate this?
I stumbled across this while searching for some sleep music. the first instrumental sounded so familiar. Then I couldn't sleep till I figured it out. Finally Oliver Stone's movie Platoon popped in my head. Then I thought "I can sleep now" . Wrong lol. Now it's playing another Familiar tune.
I feel stupid now. there's a track list. embarrassingly moving on....
Nothing to be embarrassed about, Howard! We're glad you enjoy the compilation 😊 If you like film music we'd love to hear what you think about this mix: ua-cam.com/video/G9IQSJz__tI/v-deo.html
@@HALIDONMUSIC I'll check it out. Thanks. Keep'm coming.
I'm pretty sure Chopin 24 raindrop is the piece used in the famous halo commercial.

É uma das peças de música mais emocionantes de todos os tempos, não é?
Muito bom,obrigado.
This would be awesome converted to metal
I like how the first song is the one from the videos of various woodland animals having sudden Vietnam flashbacks to dramatic music.
We hadn't made the connection but now we can't unsee it
"it's just another day....like any other day....
