this one and the gemini my favs from this booth. but there were so many good things. it was almost like a little explosion after 3 years corona draught
I hope the reverb I’m hearing is in the box and not routed through the ecr-1 or new convolution pedal cause it sounds nuts. The internal reverb on the gr-1 sounds like a delay
In the box yes. The Mega has two reverbs. One is simple (but obviously better than the GR-1's), and the other is made to simulate large spaces, and has 12 parameters including shelf filters and everything.
So I really like the looks and specs of the GR-MEGA but I could never justify the price. It was the same for it's little brother the GR-1. I often wonder why they don't sell their gear cheaper because they would sell a lot more units. So currently my granular needs are catered for by an old, no longer supported plugin called, The Mangle I run it on an old 2015 Macbook Air that cost $250. The plugin itself can run eight granular engines with sophisticated modulation and of course I can run multiple instances of the plugin, so it's unbeatable in price and features even by the GR-MEGA. I've recently bought a new 15 inch oled, 10 point touch screen, I7 16gb ram laptop this has taken my granular game out of the stratosphere for $1200.
nope... just nope. You can do lot more but will never achieve the handsdown instant manipulation options with two hands and 10 fingers ... even using your feet on top :P and don't come with "I could map it to my midi controllers!" ... it's just not the same.
It's probably a scale thing. There are a LOT of MacBooks going to sell, but never anywhere near as many of these sold even if they were incredibly cheap. They are still selling GR-1s as fast as they can make them.
@@SuperOssi Incorrect it's not €500 as of 15/12/23 it is €605 which is the first down payment of three for a total cost of €1500 ex VAT so near €2000 after import charges.
you got me, waitin for one of those...
Keep coming back to this video. This is genuinely the best product of Superbooth 23. Can't wait to get this.
One of the most exciting instruments of the show for me.
for me also :) not in my price range but still a great announcement :)
Agreed!
The GR-1 is a very, very powerful synth. I own it. This thing looks stunning.
@@synthanatomy i read a lot abaout the price...its about 500€ +vat in preorder?!
@@SuperOssi they estimated a price of around +/- 2000€
I love the new features, but I like the size of the GR-1 much more.
Christmas is going to be fun this year!!
Got my eye on the black model!
sounds wicked and looks fun as hell!

too many good things were presented. That's correct. I couldn't see everything. There were 250 developers and the 3 days were not enough 😅
Been curious about Tasty Chips gear for a while now.
hopefully even more now :)
Such a great sound. Logic tells me to wait and buy this new one on release, but I would really like to use the GR1 now.
Impressive Device ! 🌻
Did they fix the drop outs in multitimbral
@ 2:37 sold.
good to read :)
Yeah, that got me too. Instantly thought of the heavy madness I could make with this thing
The design probably wont evolve 😐, but black version would be nice 😎
just take my money!

@@TastyChips you guys knocked it out the park with the Mega. Preordering as soon as it’s available
can it spread recorded external audio sample chromatically over a midi keyboard?
Please make it b/w in all concerns (light, knobs and print) 😊
Saving up for this one! Is there any place where you can make a reservation?
??? go to their website now, its 500€+vat fpr preorder
Will this have an audio input?

Synthesizers have finally peaked my interest. I've seen it all up to now. - meh. This is true synthesis of sounds. I'm amazed at synth stuff finally.
