This is why I got my golden retriever at a shelter. Her and her sister where shoved in a cat crate and thrown into the pound. The reason why she was at the pound was because her dumb owner said she peed too much. People are honestly stupid.

My dog was in a slaughter house where they kill dogs and she was going to get killed in at least a week
I was really young when I got her and I didn't know her story until I was older because my parents where
scared that I was to "young" to know that so they kept it as a secret and when I found that her previous
owners where the ones who threw her into the slaughter house and made sure she got killed in at least a
week because they said she was annoying and she kept on growling and after I heard that I started crying
because the story was really sad.....sometimes people can be so cruel and harsh to other beings.......
You have to get all of those poor animals out of that so called "farm" it is just horrible I want to make a difference.

you can see the fear, confusion, misery, and sadness in those poor dogs eyes. I would adopt all of them in a heartbeat. I would maybe also call the police after adopting one them full on full making the vet examine it to see any sickness or injuries. this makes me so mad about puppy farming.

If I had one wish it would be to save all dogs in the world who don't have families and make sure that families don't abuse them. I have a dog and she was abused by these mean people , and when we got her she was just skin and bones and now she has her own clothes , food , bed , and believe this a boyfriend and we love her very much with all our hearts

So sad. The conditions these dogs live in are absolutely appalling, it should not be allowed. I adopted my dog from a rescue shelter and he has been my best mate for 15 years now. Do yourself and a dog a favour don't buy your dog from a pet shop that may be supporting people who are profiting out of animal cruelty, go to your local pound or shelter and adopt a dog, you will have saved a life and maybe even found your best mate.

Hello!!! I am totally against puppy farms so much that I foster Small breed dogs from puppy farms... The conditions that the wee dogs come in are heartbreaking, the worst we had were 8 week brothers ( Frankie and benny) they were scared of the door closing the man at the farm threw them into the car and said he would kill them if we didn't take them. We are now on our 30th foster Vicky who is deaf,blind in one eye and all her ribs broken from getting kicked, she is petrified of men and runs to the corner of the room and hides she weighs 4 lbs 😓 they need so much attention and love and trust . We had one Trixie who we thought was 1 years old but turns out she was around 7 or 8, she was the size of a puppy because since she started breeding before she even was an adult dog here body just stopped growing at about 30 weeks... We kept 4 of our fosters Roxie,holly,frankie and susie who are all the best wee dogs anyone could ask for they are still cautious at new things but confident at the same time. I honestly can't see how people are so cruel and heartless towards these wee souls they come with fear in their eyes to us and some even don't have eyes or are missing an ear or all their teeth. People don't know the reality of how bad this stuff actually is... I'm 14 years old and I even can't understand why they do this and when the dogs trust u they are honestly the best snuggle buddies and my favourite thing is seeing their first ever reaction to grass or a sofa or anything😂 but please like this so more people can see it and I love helping out and changing dogs lives by giving them to a new loving forever home 😅☺️☺️ please like and comment about what you think

My baby pupper boy, Toby was adopted from a shelter. He's gone now, but I loved him with all the love I could give him. He was a truly good boy. Dogs dont have to be purebred to be amazing companions.

I have 4 babies. 1 Rottweiler abandoned by the owner cause he was getting too "big", a beagle father and son that needed a home, and terrier from a adoption center. They are all mixed and still loved to this day :)

Instead of keeping them in glass cages, they should keep puppies of the same breed in a room.
My uncle used to raise and sell puppies. His facility(If it could be called that), was a neat little shed he had built for them. He had lots of space for the parents to run and play, not to mention some good shade(It is Texas). And before you guys ask, no, he wasn't a big name puppy seller, he just had a few pure bred Dachshunds and he had them breed and sold a few.
Since everyone seems to share this, we don't usually pick dogs from the shelter, we don't have one in our town. Rather, we pick up dogs that have been dumped or that other family members don't want/can't have. Most of the dogs we have are from county roads around here and from town.
Why do people have this fascination with purebreds? I have two of the most adorable mutts. One even has a heart shape on her back, no inbred Frankenstein of a dog will have that!

well I got a cat but I'm proud to say when she was a month old her mother dumped her because her family were strays and my cat was the runt so they left her to die till I found her wet and muddy now she's nice and warm in her own bed with a happy family and husband :)

I didn't even know that puppies were allowed to be kept in pet stores. And in such small glass cages as well. Absolutely horrible. The only living animals I've seen in pet stores in Sweden have been budgies and fish. The rest is just necessities for your pets.

I adopted my dog, he's very happily living with my family. Just because he was adopted does not mean he is dumb or bad, it just means I saved him (although we have a very good animal center). For those of you that say you adopted your dog when you bought it?? Don't say that, because you may have payed from a "breeder" but they could be lying.

I have the BIGEST soft spot in my heart for puppys and if someone hurts a puppy I will go up to thay person and say " What if you were this little puppy and someone was kicking you around huh wouldn't you wany them to stop? +Jazmine4lif Carr I gave my dog to a animal shop after I gave it to my neighbours cause I didn't have enough time to give the care I heard the dog barking / screaming so I asked for the dog back so I gave it to the animal shop it's 100% not from factory's I used to work there so we basically got dogs from people who don't want them and then we sell em well technically it's not a pet shop it's like a care centre kinda so basically we take care of the animals not many people want to buy them we didn't get much but soon I needed to quit that job as it was so hard to take care of the animals cause we didn't want to leave the puppies kittens and other animals with people that we weren't comfortable with we took them home and brought them home but then the shop closed down because I was the old manager before we left so I decided to tell them that we were changing it into a animal care centre like an aquarium but for any animals so they got a tv to show how many animals are slaughtered a day
+Jazmine4lif Carr so then they got to touch the animals and we gave them a sheet to sign when they don't want the puppy or the animal or their not giving it to anyone else they return the puppy but they don't receive the money back we sell it for quite a lot like maybe 5k cause we want people to really want the animals so much that they will do what ever it takes and like cause it's like an aquarium for any animal you get to touch them you need to pay to enter 50 dollars per child and 70 for an adult it's that expensive cause we want the dogs to live happily for every ticket bought were able to buy a pack of food and 3 Toys btw it's like a separate shop not in a mall so we extended the shop so we could make rooms 5rooms cause there were 10 employees 5 stayed with their families but me and 4 others didn't live with out families meaning we didn't have any wife's or husbands some stayed there to check on the animals

They do this because here, we kill cows and dogs are our pets, but in other places a cow is like a dog for them. It is their "ways" of killing a dog, they think it makes the meat better when you torture them. That's why some people are vegetarian they think "poor cow!", or "Poor dog", and "poor pig!" I hope this helped you sort of understand. I am not saying it's good they do this, i'm just explaining.

You don't know that. Most likely, most of them, will end up dead in a shelter. Some may be chained in a yard somewhere all their lives, maybe in a cage. Many will be abused, forgotten, beat, starved, etc.
Most dogs do not go to good homes. This is why many shelters do home visits and will look at your background and ask for your vets number so they can be called as well. People should be given a test to make sure they know how to care for the animal properly.
Adopt don't shop. + You don't now that, a educated and caring owner would have done the research and adopted.

She was a special white Yorkshire, small, we loved her. But we had her for 9 months when my mother had an car accident far away, and she got lost. It happened 3 weeks ago 6-01-18. I want my dog back!

Tom Long Pure breeds, or claimed to be pure breeds, go for a lot of money aprox 800 for a dog and 1000 for a bitch. People will breed dogs in puppy farms and have lots of dogs. They do it for money, If they breed 20 dogs and each dog has 10 puppies you're looking at 20,000. and dogs can come into season more than once throughout the year. That is why people do it. Because they're money hungry bastards that don't respect their animals. If you buy, go to a home breeder where you can see mum, dad and the full litter, a registered breeder or adopt. Never arange a meeting place with your breeder to collect your puppy as this normally means it comes from a farm, if they claim to be purebred make sure you get all the certificates and make sure they're real not falsified. and if ever in doubt, don't buy them.

This is the reason why you should adopt a dog rather than buy one. I got my dog from a shelter. He was being attacked by 2 other dogs and his old owner didn’t do anything about it, she just kept him in a crate and never let him out. She also would never walk it or feed it often. Some people are stupid😫 adopt don’t shop
