Seeing these shoes get broken down breaks my heart
Seriously. I know they're free but why not just cut up a used one
You know it's a good day when Foot Doctor Zach uploads!
Thanks!
I agreed!
This is the best review ever on the internet for a running shoe, and this is what exactly i was looking for not just stupid daily routine with these shoes and how they felt while running LOL
I appreciate you- yeah I like those types of videos too though- I’m not an elite runner so people that are have a good perspective - all pieces of the pie
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA lol me too
Nice to see you teardown more running shoes. I'd love to see more of this, and not just the supershoe models.
This is a supershoe
Props to you for being willing to cut open all kinds of models for your breakdowns
Man that was such a good breakdown of the Next% 2, I would so LOVE to see a breakdown and comparison with my current favourite - the NB RC Elite V2. Would be great to see an efficiency comparison plus your take on these two super foams as well as their utilization of their carbon plates!
Love the running shoes review. I've always been curious about the upper tier Nike running shoes. May give these shoes a shot when it goes on sale. Thanks for the perspective on these shoes Dr. Zach 🙏
Thank you!!! I was hoping someone would do this for months!! You're a blessing
Really appreciate all the technical information in the review. You are a
"cut" above the rest. Cheers, Zach
Haha nice
I just bought these shoes last week, thanks for the review
Thanks for such a nice different shoe review. I really love the way you doing reviews. Nothing comparable!!
I appreciate that!
Just got. Some. Vapor flys for Christmas can’t wait to try them out so far I love them
Hi Dr Zach, thanks for the amazing uploads. I struggle with foot pain on the top of my left foot above my 4th/5th metatarsal. Can get swollen after a long session of playing basketball. Any recommendations for dealing with it/shoe suggestions please? (I’ve just come from watching your Best Shoes video so I have a rough idea)
Thanks!
Very interesting. I recently purchased a pair of VP2.
I'm glad I came across your video. Kudos!
Glad it was helpful!
You have the best shoe reviews on UA-cam. Thank you for all the information.
Thanks that’s super kind 👍👍
Please i have a question i hesitate between (the harden vol 6/DON 3/the zion 1/dame5/pg6) i know its a lot but im really hesitating knowing i need a shoes who is good for jumping and can be polyvalent (i play mostly outdoor too) which one should i choose or a different model than those would be better/thank you for you content and i hope you respond❣
I don't know how easy it is to cut through but a teardown of the alphafly next% would very interesting in comparison to the vaporfly next% 2s.
Really cool. Looking forward to alphafly and TRC blaze as well.
I'm a fan of these. tried true and tested smooth running
Hi,please kindly let me know should I consider Nike vapoir fly next %2 shoes for 1600 metres race in 6:30 minutes and long jump of 3.65 metres ? Or any other brand shoes like asics or nike invincible flying knit 3 .BUT I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL RUNNER . Kindly let me know ..
Please review Rebel V2s!! I am so curious about your opinion. You get into more scientifics than other Ave runner reviews. Great job btw!!
Me and my husband both have a pair. On both pairs the rubber is coming off of the foam sole. We love these shoes but haven’t ran that much in them for them to be falling apart.
Hey, if you can please do teardown to peak Wiggins attitude and/or xtep jlin 2, really wanna know your perspective on that shoes.
Cannot wait for the review for the Zen either 3 or 4 from 361....
absolutely a good day, now i guess theres more supershoes for running coming up. hope for other brands, for runners and shoe nerds this is fun.
Yep coming down the pipeline
Sir, My foot length is 25.5cm. Whould you please tell me that what size I should use for nike vaporfly next%2...26cm or 26.5cm?
You should do the Nike ZoomX Invincible 2’s! Easily the most comfortable shoe out to date!
I’m a forefoot striker and he is right, my forefoot outsole rubber is wearing down fast. I had to buy another pair
Hey,
Thanks for the videos.
Iv been using barefoot minimalist shoes for prettymuch everything for the last 6-7 years.
I recently got exited of tennis and have been playing with my no profile 4 mm sole shoes on all courts. Unlike other sports i find my heel and ball of the foot a bit sore after playing on a harder court. Propably due to my technique also, but Im thinking of adding a extra flatinsole to help cushion the hard court games.
Do you know of a zero profile slightly cushioned widetoebox shoe for tennis?
Thanks in advance, and all the best to you. Greeting from Finland
Iv been doing more research considering the topic of my question. I found Altra Solstice XT 2 shoes that in theory checks alot of boxes when it comes to wide toebox, no drop and slight cushioning.
Any thoughts on that spesific shoe when it comes to playing tennis on a hard/asphalt court.
Thanks,
All the best
Got 2 pairs of VPs and a pair of AF, got all my PBs in these. Could keep a 5min/mile pace consistently without my legs feeling fatigued unlike the other running shoes I've owned. I don't feel going faster but definitely longer if that makes sense. My only compliant is that the AF's sole is already ripping apart after 4 uses.
How long can you got for that 5min/mile pace ??
aren’t the alphaflys designed for forefoot striking ?
@@Thekingofbutter12 yes they are for mid/forefoot strikers like Eliot Kipchoge. Ran 600 mile on my first pair until an air unit popped. Some lighter people run over 1000 mile on them.
V2 Alphafly is more for the masses. No longer an elite running shoe. It carries the name but that's just to sell it. It's more forgiving to humpty dumpy style runners but also heavy and clunky.
Is there anything wrong with using marathon shoes for daily running?!!
Hi, I tried out my new pair of shoes last Saturday and they are really super fast. I want to ask, did you experience more stress on your ankle? Everything was fine, but after the first 5km pace of 4:00 per km the ankle on my right leg started to hurt and then I had to do something to do at least 10km. Left leg fine. Thanks a lot for the reply.
try athletes tape on the ankle
Hi Zach. Love your videos. After watching lots of your reviews, now i'm in consideration between Babolat Jet Mach 3 and Yonex Fusion rev 4. I love gripping shoes, stability, a bit low to the ground but i'm having heel pain at the moment. Which should i choose Babolat Jet Mach3 or Yonex Fusion rev 4
Fusion rev 4 not great for heel pain IMO
@@FootDoctorZach i thought the fusion rev4 are very comfortable with the power cushion ?
I feel that the Nike super shoes work for runners with a certain ground contact time range. I like the Nike infinity reacts.
Review the new GT CUT 2.0 and the JORDAN 37 their already released in ASIA
Is These shoes are good for regular runner?
Great video. I love these shoes and it almost feels like cheating running against those that aren’t wearing them. Finally get to see why they are so good. Nice work.
I tried some on for the first time the other day and could see what all the fuss was about. Unfortunately the ones I tried on didn't fit me (they were being sold by a friend) but I desperately want some of my own especially with race season coming up. I can see why you said your comment about feeling like you're cheating now!
thank you for share ur information !
cool! can u pls review the lightsrike pro of adidas takumi sen 8?
These are actually pretty good even for ankle sprain as long as your on pure flat road they are extremely stable but still a bit of risk
What's the heel height on these
Thanks for the cutaway view!!! I'm a lighter weight midfoot striker and I don't load the carbon plate much at all as I approach toe-off until the very end. The only wear I've gotten on the outsole is at the very end of the toes so far, and the "propulsion" I'm getting is just a minor flick right at the last bit of toe-off, which is doing next to nothing. To load the plate earlier, I'm planning to drill one or more small holes from side to side through the midsole above the plate, right under the closest eyelet to the front. The goal is to get my forefoot deeper into the shoe. Too much foam there for me.
Watch causing a stress riser though
@@FootDoctorZach I'm starting with a single 1/8" hole, which will do almost nothing. The shoes were loading somewhat when I first got them, but I'm 5-6 pounds lighter now and getting closer to race weight. The lighter and better shape I get in, the less the propulsion from the plate, and the less I'm compressing the foam under the forefoot. It almost feels like I'm falling off the front of the shoe with my toes now.
Only 2 channels to watch when it comes to shoe reviews and right here is one of them, the other is Weartesters. Thanks Shoe Doctor Zach!! Another Great Great review!!!
Love Weartesters - has been my favorite shoetuber channel for a while
By mistake, I ordered the volume one instead of the volume 2 on the Nike website. Is there a massive difference between the next percent one and the next percent two ??
I didnt find one TBH
As a forefoot striker and minimal pronation for my gait(run) cycle, I can attest to wearing out the forefoot quicker, lateral aspect of the the forefoot. 👍🏻
Glad to have some perspective 👍👍
@@FootDoctorZach I also find that most Nikes outsole don’t last as long compared to other runners. Would love to see the break down of Adidas Adizero Adios Pro 2 or 3. See what u think about all the weirdo cutouts in the midsole
Do you have a playlist for flared feet ? What are the best running and basketball shoes for flared feet
I have ultimate shoe guides out that cover this yep
Awesome review! Alphafly next?
Yup
The BEST shoe reviewer on UA-cam!
🥇
This is my dream shoe, but is soooo expensive (almost two full months of wage here in Brazil)
Is it recommended for flat feet
can you tell which basketball shoe is best i am in confusion lebron 19/kd 15 /jordan 36 which one is best in these
Neither just all different
just got these on crazy sale, same color, whats a good running sock that works well with these?
Ive been liking the Rigorer socks
Thank you for this great analysis. Even though this model looks very cool, it's definitely not the most appropriate for me as I've already had my ankles sprained twice and nowadays I look for models having a more stable sole.
Do you think there’s any particular reason we haven’t seen the ZoomX foam used in a Nike Basketball or Tennis model?
Way too soft for basketball!
So soft and laterally unstable - great for front to back motion though
can u do the kyrie lows 4s??
Shin splint city with your heel crushing running form
As a a forefoot striker, this shoe is too expensive for its durability. As you said. I replaced them with Endorphin Pros, which are more durable for me, but yepp, I miss the kicking and the buckling effect.
What would ne good for a one mile race.
I have flat feet... would you think I could use these with my custom insert?
I think I talk about this in the video but I don’t love these for custom orthotics personally
Best shoes ever!
Ahh just got to the bit where he tells us that this shoe isnt for chunky runners. Oh well. Brought em now🤷🏽♀️
can you teardown the Alphafly, and compare the vaporfly to it ?
Next up
Hey doc can you do an analysis on metaspeed sky?
Yes
Do Kyrie Low 4
Pittsburgh airport ???
6:50 i'm jealous of people who could tie laces that tight. i have very high arch, wide forefoot, narrow heel and sensitive feet that my feet would get numb if i do it like that. i need to skip the first pair of eyelets and tie the laces loosely that a bit of heel slippage is normal to me
Bar none, the best foot or shoe channel in existence. I subscribed pretty fast.
Would you say the vapofly acceptable for low foot arches? I have a semi-wide feet with low arches. I’ve seen videos for the alphafly saying that the shoe causes midfoot/arch pain because the ff to mf taper is very aggressive. VF fore to mid taper is not as aggressive but there is still a taper and not for semi-flat low arch feet.
Id say the uppers are going to be the issue for that foot type tbh- I think there’s prob better choices out there - and thanks!
Can I use these for casual walking or casual wear?
Wouldn't recommend it
@@davontes6258 Thanks bought the invincible 3 for daily use.
Can you review the alphafly next%
next video
can we use this shoe for baketball i want to buy a new shoe plese tell....
I don't think so, i think they don't have traction, and lateral movements can be hard (it's very high of the ground)
Nope
Definitely not. They're designed to go straight not side to side, you will roll your ankle if you hoop in this.
Best shoes on the market
These were awful for my one ankle that over pronates more than the other ankle. (Hyper flexibility of the ankle?) Cosy me 2 months of running.
Yeah they’re for a neutral foot for sure over others
Have you done any hoka shoes?
Not yet but I will
@@FootDoctorZach ok cool I need your input! Lol
yeezy foam runner mx carbon please...
Anyone with flat feet recommend these ?
Can you Walk or jog with these shoes?
Jogging I guess- not walking - really not meant for either
if you have a comfortable issue on your foot, you better watch Zach's videos! ✌️
hoooow?
Did someone commented in his past videos that he speaks too fast? He speaks kinda slow right now. I mean, from what I'm used to. Didn't have problems whatsoever in the past for me. 🤔
I used to because I was uncomfortable on camera - now that I have a bunch of videos under my belt I’m just more relaxed so I don’t motor mouth as much
@@FootDoctorZach Hey doc. Well, just, thank you for interacting. Much appreciated 👍🏼💪 Just a request, if possible. I hope in the future you could do, at least once in a while, training/cross training shoes. 🤞🤞🤞
Soo much detail
You should get a job at nike
Thank you so much
But I’m really far away
I’m currently in Africa Rwanda sooo
I do really enjoy your content
NICE

Angular momentum - look it up 👀 also my ex gf told me you can’t lose what you never had so no hard feelings
😍😍😍
Kobe ad nxt 360 protro with zoomx drop in midsole...Come on nike you sleep
You should buy a cutting machine from now on lol.
You aren’t kidding…
GT Cut 2 on the way.
Pain
Start playing soccer and ur foot will be perfect for these runners
I just bought theses shoes for $56 lol at the Nike store
Jeeze
@@FootDoctorZach first run felt wonderful. A constant push to the finish line.
This shoe is not suitable for runners with a pronated gait.
You can destroy used shoes but brand new even if is free demo is sad.
Me and my husband both have a pair. On both pairs the rubber is coming off of the foam sole. We love these shoes but haven’t ran that much in them for them to be falling apart.
