I made a variation of this... 45ml vodka, 45ml lemon juice, 15ml peach schnapps, 15ml sugar syrup... rimmed with vanilla sugar... it's quite delicious
mmm peach drop martini
Vanilla sugar 🤔 that might be yummy 😋
For me, lemon juice, simple syrup, Cointreau, vodka (ketel one but sometimes Tito’s), sugar rim with slice of lemon. Made a passion fruit drop yesterday. Using everything but passion fruit puree instead of lemon juice.
Just watching these old ones and that slow-mo of grabbing the shaker killed me
No wonder you always look happy in these videos. Is that the Mrs coming out from under the table at 2.00 ?!!!!!
Haha, whoa!! She was filming with the new second camera...still trying to suss out the best way to make it work without ruining shots! Haha
I usually use Limoncello instead of Cointreau, it's absolutely delicious :)
this is a winner. very good with the orange liqueur.
Try adding a little lemonade mix powder to the sugar on the rim. Just gives it an extra lemon kick
That's my drink !!!
Hahaha! I dig the slo-mo with the shaker twirl! Also, though I cannot vouch for the other 49 states, I can attest that in my early and mid 20s, I bought many a Lemon Drop shot (and Red Snapper shot) when hitting on ladies at the bar. Didn't always work, but the lady folk seemed to like them. Keep up the good work, chief!
Thanks man! Slow mo makes everything look epic!!
What's in a Red Snapper shot?
Steve the Bartender A Red Snapper is Crown Royal, amaretto, and cranberry juice in equal parts, if I remember correctly.
This is how I make mine when I don't have any Absolut Citron. As I understand it the original Lemon Drop and Cosmopolitan were both made using Absolut Citron.
At my work, we use Skyy Infusions Citrus.
So you could use that as well.
OK probably because im canadien but I use maple syrop to change cocktails taste. It really adds something. Since it's sweeter I advice you to use a little less. Lemon drops with à little 7up on top are awesome if you want a less alcoholic cocktail.
I don’t believe you’re Canadian. You misspelled it…jk 😂
@@P1983sche my autocorrect changed it to french, Quebecer's struggles 😉
What a great recipe!!! Making one this New Year 😁
Delicious! I’m making my second one! 😆
I buy Hiram Walker triple-sec. It comes in 30 and 60 proof. NO ONE ever seems to mention this. I like the 60. It will kick your butt!!
I work in a bar in london snd i never heard about this one since the waiter came to me today 🤣
What about using blue curacao instead of Cointreau?
Thank you thank you
are you double straining because your lemon juice is pulpy? because typically i only double strain if i've had to muddle something.
Nice cocktail
Easy to make
Where’s the best place to buy the things to make these cocktails with?
Amazon
I always make mines like this
Shouldn’t you use lemon vodka?
I missed his famous shaker-smile!
Mee too 😥
The lemon drop and kamikaze shots are both really obnoxiously popular among college kids here in the states. I say obnoxiously because they would rather take one of these shots than ever experience a good cocktail
Haha, I thought so! I vaguely remember the first time some American girl asked for a First Drop shooter and she was astonished that I'd never heard of it before!
I wish a could make a gallon of this at a time but don’t know how to convert it
Make 1 and measure the volume. Then, 1 gallon / drink volume = the multiplier you need for each ingredient.
@@StevetheBartender_ Thank you so much
I live in Thailand, lemons are very rare. Can we use lines instead?
ใช้ได้ครับแต่มันอร่อยไม่เท่าเลม่อน ลองใช้มะนาวแต่น้อยกว่าหน่อยคงได้อยู่ครับ
@@issaraserikhansri ขอบคุณมากครับ😀😊
Hi. Can the lemon be substituted with lime?
no, because lemon is the main flavour ...... defeats the whole purpose...
There's a similar drink you can make if you prefer lime. It's called a Key Lime Martini which contains vodka, coconut rum (like Malibu) and lime juice.
That would be a kamikaze.
The lemon drop martini is my favorite but I do not care for the shot version.
Why is this one double strained?
To stop the ice shards being transferred into the drink..
What's that in ounces?
1½ oz vodka
½ oz Cointrau
1 oz Fresh lemon juice
½ oz Basic Sugar syrup (1:1 water to sugar)
So why double strain?
For any extra pulp in the lemon juice
He didn't do the smile
I use gin instead of vodka.
Why can't you say Oz instead of Mills
My latest videos state both but previously I used metric measurements because every country in the world except 3 use it..
Zoom in on the ingredients next time please
Hate being American and every single one of these damn videos is in milliliters I can't find a single video on a lemon drop with ounces
Lol, 30ml = 1oz.. it’s really very simple to convert
Lost me with the MILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What’s with the all the yelling? This video is from 5 years ago. I’ve since included imperial measurements for the couple of countries that still use it.
I don’t think I can go back to watch you do anything Mills you don’t know what the hell you’re putting in there an ounce a half an ounce a cup what are these Mills tell people what the hell you putting in there
The metric system (millilitres) is used by every country in the world except two. It’s a VERY simple and easy conversion 👉 1oz = 30ml.
