Union Activations 2nd effect is supposed to reference Kaibas strategy in his duel against Yugi. Summon XYZ and treat it as 3 monsters to summon Obelisk. So you divide the Fusion into 3 components to search and summon Obelisk.
EXCELLENT WORK. YUGIOH EVERYTHING SETO KAIBA SUPPORT
But didn't Kaiba use xyz dragon cannon for Obelisk? If so why not have the new xyz fusion be use like god slime 3 tribute cost?
Also, why not retrain the 3 mini xyz fusions, too?
The Sega dream cast controller is now a fusion monster.
So at the end, in duelists of brilliance, we're getting dragons, machines and fairies. Also the last effect of the spell card is a reference of Kaiba tributing XYZ Dragon Cannon to summon Obelisk the Tormentor.
Someone else pointed this out but its worth repeating; GX got only one character out of all 6 of these Attribute Duelist Packs (Volcanics in the FIRE Pack). Considering the sheer number of anime LIGHT decks from GX (Arcana Force, Cyber Dragon, Cyber Angel, Ojama, ect.) you'd think it was the obvious choice. But no, DM nostalgia with Kaiba.
On a side note, I hope the Duelist Packs go back to adapting anime/manga only cards. We already have the core set's for anime Legacy support, plus Animation Chronicle is limited due to having to split its card pool between the 6 anime's, same with the Premium Pack's and the manga only cards.
I wish we could just get VW support and:
- Hypercoat
- Different Dimension Hangar
- Dimensional Catapult
Also new cards could have been:
- VW Combination
- AtoW Drake Buster Catapult
I was hoping Luna or Sartorius would be the final person getting support but oh well. Kaiba’s Union monsters needed support so they’ve gotten them.
To fit the theme of character covers I wished it was Chazz for GX

The second effect on Union Activation can also be used to bring out Obelisk the Tormentor. 3000+ ATK works for both Blue-Eyes and Obelisk while the effect triggering off a 3-at-once summon means that either of them will have the materials needed for their normal summon.
And to think Luna, one of the Signers, would receive long awaited Ancient Fairy support.
At least 5D's has already gotten representation in these pack's, outside of Volcanic's GX got nothing from these Attribute packs.
If it wasn't for that Enemy Controller Fusion, this could've been the support of thr King Jun Manjoume/Chazzington Princeton.
well to be fair, Kaiba was the first to use Union Monsters (X-Z) and so, it made sense for the support to be based around him.

If we get Blue-Eyes support, I hope they make the fusion variant worth playing. Even Ultimate Fusion is not worth running. I want to play Ultimate Dragon vanilla and feel like I am not being a casual pleb. Also when Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon fused with Mamoth GY?
Honestly I would be more than happy if they add more Blue-eyes support cards cause the Blue-eyes white dragons is my favorite deck and I would want Konami to make more support for it to make it more better to handle all the overpowered decks that are broken as crap 💩
The only bad part is that they're not also treated as the originals so they can't use the old fusion cards.
I'm just surprised it's taken this long for XYZDC to get a retrain. Given itself prbly Kaiba's most iconic card after BEWD and Obelisk.
And just like with Gimmick Puppets, the new support enables a 1-card FTK that plays through Nibiru. Enjoy it while it lasts.
Tbf Beatrice is the one who enables it so banning her would solve the problem. She had it coming for a long time

According to early Cross Duel meta, Z-Metal Tank is the most famous and powerful card that Seto Kaiba ever used LOL
they should make the whole set like they treat gate guardian fusion. Add vw have all varieties for adaptability from a to z. Abcvwxyz should be their ultimate boss monster super power ranger megazord. It should be less difficult to summon because Simply banish any materials whether they are fusion monsters or its separate 8 pieces from anywhere as long as complete the letters. 8 materials or three fusion monsters are difficult enough no need to add during the duel again.
I hope we get these cards from kaiba in Duel Links soon
Oh hey, that new spell basically can let you search Blue-eyes or Obelisk and then normal summon it!!
Anybody who has played XYZ without ABC knows how much XYZ struggled. Frankly, this support is welcome and a long time coming. It just sucks the monsters don't work with the old extra deck cards, and the set feels incomplete without all the cross-fusions and synchronizing with ABC support.
These are amazing references from Seto Kaiba's duels
Also, I can't believe Kaiba is getting new support in Duelist of the Brilliance instead. Konami is really giving GX the cold shoulder, even though they went all the trouble making new support for Volcanic (Axel Brodie's archetype). 😡😡😡😡
Dyl I've been saying for years that all they had to do to make xyz work was retrain the xyz monsters and give the new fusion the same summoning requirements as abc dragon buster and I got that I love a to z and I have my Deck saved just for this moment. I called it

Well at least the inputs will be fast perfect for when your playing an online fighting game 😂

Frankly I rather this in this set than Blue Eyes yet again. Also I can count this as Chazz support too because he did use XYZ Dragon Cannon.

we learned with this experience one : that konami hates luna and dm always will get new supports when they can.

I know it's probably not what everyone wants to see, and it's not as creative, but I love the idea of new retrained classic cards. Especially classic cards from the anime.

I would Like to make a Video Suggestion. "Top 10 favourite Yugioh arcs" Just Like any Long running Anime with multiple seasons there are good and Bad ones and every time you Talk with someone about Arcs they only compare the arcs from the Same seasons. But I would love to know which Anime arcs you Like best from the entire Franchise.
For example my top 3 would be:
1. Dark signers Arc (5d's)
2. Society of light (GX)
3. Dark RPG (Duel Monsters)
And I would Like to know your opinion as to what your top 10 is when you Look at all seasons from Duel Monsters Up to Go Rush.
Again this is merely a suggestion but I would still like to know what you think.

I like it, but I would’ve given this deck more of the alphabet to work with also what happened they didn’t updated V and W monsters that’s a shame the A to Z monsters works with Ojas right

As much as I liked Mako as a character he was in like 5 episodes. They swapped a main rival for such a minor character

I can honestly care less for the X,Y and Z canon archetype I wish Konami can make more support for the Blue-eyes archetype cause the Blue-eyes White Dragons are my favorite monsters and they need more support cards to beat down the overpowered decks that are broken as crap 💩
