Why are there no on-screen stats, they are really needed to follow everything that is going on. Names, position, what throw, how many kg each barrel, etc.
Would be much more efficent if the overall height of the barrel thrown was measured by lasers. Negates angles and technique, which is not strength or power.
@@olliebeard4089 They're measuring strength incorrectly then, it's more a mix of strength, endurance, mobility. If anything that's not strongman and a hybrid sport. This method just seems donkey brained. Could have the Hulk in there and if he gets the wrong angle, he's not the strongest?
@@RascalMcBants It's not just about pure strength but also being able to clear these events such as deadlifts, squats, keg toss and even sometimes pulling a truck or an airplane which is far from the most practical way to measure strength but certainly more entertaining and understandable to the viewer that might not have any idea what being able to pull x amount of kg means but they can still be impressed by a big guy pulling a car and it's also more impressive. What you're asking for wouldn't be strongman it would be a science experiment and the show aspect would be gone and that is what this is at the end of the day, it's a sport and a show for entertainment same as any other sport and doing what you're asking would be like saying oh why do they swim in swimming or run in running, well cause it's part of the sport and same as any other sport there are going to be technical aspects to it.
Likes for the live of strongman
Thanks for putting this out there, Brian!

🏆🏆🏆🏆 SHAW 🇺🇸
love this stuff
I can imagine Thor rewatching this, laughing furiously while sitting on a throne eating a 5kg bucket of skyr.
Eddie fanboys will say his DAD set the bar
The West Virginia 2008 conversation was so refreshing
Hoftor ist einfach nur eine Maschine 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
He is almost as big as the mountain from game of thrones
💪💪
Hmm maybe a weight over bar throw next year? Haven’t seen that here yet.
The Mountain made the barrel overcame the mountain !!!
Insane.
Those folding chairs surely are not made in China!
This seems very dangerous. If you can't move away in time you could get hit on the head with a keg.
Bitelo natural

That's not strongman. You could say the same for any event with max force output on deadlift, squat or press, etc.
