My first listen to the whole album was start to end on headphones, track after track. This definitely is Muse's "Queen" track with the vocal styles and the guitar trill down the neck in the style of Brian May. The piano a the end is an actual classical piece. To me the sound of children playing which merged into pilots talking over the radio was a commentary on how we turn people into fighting machines, the pilots going to war once being children in a school yard. Oh and yes by the end of listening to the album I had tears in my eyes and was fairly blown away.
Just thought I'd add this since I didn't see it anywhere in the comments. The piano solo at the end is actually a performance of Chopin's Nocturne Op.9 No.2, which is a very famous piece. (obviously the original didn't have any jets or children in the background)
Max Georgin - Neorigg The outro isn't exactly the same as Chopin's Nocturne. There are some ornaments Matt doesn't play. And the chords of the song are actually based on the Nocturne. When Matt starts to sing, he plays the same chords as the beginning of the Nocturne.
Love this one. Very underrated. I still have the flag with the design on it that was at the very start of the video you were watching. I bought it at a London gig on the first tour of The Resistance and we were hoping they'd play it. They did so we held it up the entire song. Great memories 😊
My favorite song off of Resistance right here. Song initially caught my eye because it mentions Eurasia, which is one of the superstates in the novel 1984. It does touch on the fact that the states "create" wars to manipulate their people, but also does make sense if we talk about in in our current world. Super powerful track. Epic, beautiful, and sad.
Yay! Finally United States of Eurasia. This is my favourite song in The Resistance, and I knew you'd like it. It would be nice if you could react to a live version at some point.
Oh man, can anyone remember the amazing way they released this track? The massive worldwide treasure hunt? I think I spent hours upon hours trying to solve the clues and scouring the message boards and musewiki. Those were the days :)
@@ranggasaktibudiputra1547 www.musewiki.org/Ununited_States_of_Eurasia This link pretty much takes you through all the stages of the treasure hunt. It's a trip lol but it was so amazing living it out live. Just for perspective, I remember it broke Twitter several times, that's how massive it was.
This song was always my favorite on the album, and its the first time i really LISTENED to the Chopin piece. I did a crappy little cover of it on my modest keyboard and put it up on my channel a few years ago. Love it
No. It’s a large statement about how nations react to each other. It’s beautifully done. The coming cockpit recordings are there to remind you of the danger of imbalance
I would also add. If you want a life where you don’t work at a mill. Shave yourself. Bathe yourself. Sometime. And actually react to the music with expressions. You appear to have no reaction. But your super wanting posters remain a constant. Go back to the coal mine and leave internet thingies to people who. Frankly. Are fun
Holy crap, I think we found your favorite muse song!
Nightwalk all muse songs should be his favorite:/

Heavily influenced by Queen! You should react to the live version!!! It's simply mind blowing!
Heard this song a million times - yet in the end as you listened to the outro part I got so moved I got teary eyed (once again).
What a great reaction..I feel that after that you must listen unsustainable and isolated system...

Yeah,i notice that :')
It's an amazing song. One of my favourites for sure
Fun fact: the chords and the outro of the song are based on Chopin's Nocturne no.2 in Eb
weerman44 the outro IS Chopin’s Nocturne no2, but the song itself isn’t related to Chopin
Max Georgin - Neorigg

Nothing wrong with adding some Tchaikowski and Chopin to the basic Queen flavor, isn't? My favourite of them.
