“A clerical error” 😂😂 thank you for sharing this journey. For some reason a lot of people are too shy or ashamed or whatever to share this. I’m excited to follow along!
Don’t dismiss 2lbs! That’s great. Sometimes inches are better than pounds so keep watching those as well. And remember to look for those non-scale victories. Because there will be many. Good luck ❤
I totally agree with the lose 5 gain 5 in one day. I'm on a weight loss journey as well and I was weighing myself daily and had to stop because of such weight inconsistencies. Now I weigh myself on Wednesday and Saturday but only track my Wednesday weight. Good luck on your journey.
I almost feel like once a week is too much. I don’t want to discourage myself if I don’t see much movement on the scale. But I want to keep track. So here I am.. checking those digits every Friday! 😆
👋🏼, Hey there. 2lbs is great. You want to go slow and steady, the turtle always wins. Lol.. Try getting some Electrolyte packs to add to you water that might help with thirst. Also, Chicken over beef is best since the meds make you digest even slower. Chicken is lower calorie and easier to digest. Also get some fairlife protine shakes they're the best and later when you go up a couple doses they will help when you don't want food. But all in all you're doing great, 2lbs at a time.
I think you are very brave to put yourself out there on this very personal journey. I feel your frustration on the gaining lbs almost overnight! I feel like I gain and lose the same 5 lbs weekly. Going through perimenopause too at 43 messed with me too. Hormones are no joke! I think you are 40 so good job for taking this step before all that craziness starts happening. Definitely track your measurements monthly and maybe instead of weekly weigh ins you can try the fit test & try on some jeans that are tight and see that progress. Any way love your normal people vlogs and keep doing you!
I’m going to start mine soon , and I was wondering if they cravings stopped and I was wondering about the nausea Also my dr said a healthy weight loss is 2 lbs per week , so that’s fantastic. Also when I was doing to much protein for a long period f time I got diverticulitis which was worse than labor pain , so doc recommended more healthy fats and healthy veggie carbs , no processed foods, and the best fiber was a cup of beans everyday , it’s like magic , I feel good and I’ve lost a little weight on my own with that change . You’re doing fantastic, I look forward to the updates , I can’t wait to start it my self ❤fromTx
Congrats on your loss! 🎉 I never had any nausea and around the beginning of week 3, I started to notice the cravings were not as prominent. If you decide to try it, I have a discount link! 😉 www.alanmeds.com/affiliate/candice
Limit your carbs, that’s what can cause the thirst. Cut back on bread, pasta, rice and anything with sugar. You don’t need to cut them completely but cut back.
Give it time Candice. It will work. It looks like you get plenty of exercise so try more fruit and water is essential. I use the Crystal Light packets in mine. It helps make it not so boring and dull.
Great job Candice. 2 lbs. is really good! It will take a while to get the medicine in your system so hopefully you will get the appetite suppression soon. Also give the Richard Irvine Protein bars a try. I like the chocolate peanut butter and don't get any after taste.
I’ve been on Mounjaro for a while and here are some tips, avoid really spicy and or rich foods close to the injection day. Once the food noise goes away, make sure the food you are eating is high in protein and nutrient dense… ie, cut out a lot of processed foods and focus on meat and veggies and I chose to limit carbs and sugars. I also take a digestive supplement to help keep my gut regular since the meds slow down digestion. And you’re doing great drinking all the water, it helps flush out the sugar that this medicine is assisting your body to remove. Good luck! 🎉
My husband has been on the shot for over a year and has lost close to 100 pounds. He had some nausea at first but feels great now! My nutritionist PA didn’t put me on it because of insurance reasons. Go girl!
That’s amazing!! Congrats to him! My insurance didn’t cover it either. I got a pretty good deal compared to local weight loss clinics in my area. If you decide to give Alan Meds a try, here is a discount link. 😉 www.alanmeds.com/affiliate/candice
Hello Candice! Love you and your sister!! I have been on compounded semiglutide since December 2023 with steady 1-2 lbs loss a week. Some tips...rotate your injection sites(arms, thighs and both sides of belly button). You will have the best chance of success and no rebound weight gain if you can eat low carb and avoid sugar. Honestly, if you do not change your diet to one you can live with long term, all this hard work will be for nothing(I speak from yoyo dieting for years and years myself). The shot is an excellent tool but the appetite suppression does wear off after you take it for months, at least it has for me by day 3-7 and if I wasn't eating low carb I would have the hardest time eating less. Just some info I hope you can consider.... :)
Thirst is a side effect! I get chapped lips if I don’t drink enough. I always have drinks around me! Right now, tea, water with electrolytes and my guilty pleasure Diet Coke! I get weighed in on a scale that tells me fat percentage and muscle percentage. It has helped me stay focused as I added weight loss and weight gain. I seem to always loose few lbs fat but I always gain 1 lb more of muscle than I lost of fat. For me this will go on for a few weeks then I will start loosing a few lbs a week, then plateau and start over. Also keep a food diary. It helps, I found I gain fat when I eat the smallest amount of cheese. You will find what works for you. Keep up the good work, the weight loss will come.
I'm doing the exact same thing as you. I'm on week 6. I really didn't feel much on .25. On week 5 I went up to the next dose. I really noticed the food noise was almost all gone. Hang in there.
Whenever I weigh in, it's the same time. Sat am. Morn is best b4 u eat, make sure you go #2 1st. lol Im back on weight watchers. I kept 30 lbs off for over 10 yrs. My Mom died 2 yrs ago and I gained it all back :(
My insurance doesn’t cover any weight loss medications so I guess it would depend on your coverage. If you pay cash, the first vial is $297, then following vials cost $458. I do have a discount code is you decide to try it. 😉 www.alanmeds.com/affiliate/candice
I did my first shot last night. I was pretty nauseous until this morning. Not sure if it was from the shot or not. I need to get myself weighed and measured so I can keep track of changes.

Yay!! I’m glad you’re here too! 💜

I do you a different medication
What medication are you on?
@@TheCandiceChristina I take trulicity.
Started at .75 then after 3 weeks moved up to 1.5. That made the difference.
Did you weigh at the same time of day? Bravo to you!
I do weigh myself right after wake in the mornings, once a week. I also take measurements at the same time.
@@TheCandiceChristina 👍
