Totally agree. Other thing to say is that Nicko, and sometimes Bruce, are struggling now to play some songs. They will probably drop songs like 7th son, Rime, Aces High, moinchild for that reason…
Recent tours have only been 15-16 songs because of the length of the songs they’ve played. Back then (1980-92) they didn’t have a dozen songs over 10 minutes long, and the shorter songs are 4-5 minutes compared to 7-8 minutes they do now. It won’t be a shorter show in terms of time (they usually play about 1hr 50mins), so there will be more songs on the set list to fill that time. Also, they won’t care about the popularity of Dune… remember they wanted to title the song Dune, but the author of the book wanted no association with “that type of music”… if they played it, it would be in spite of Dune. (Just to say I can be just as petty as that guy, I refuse to watch those movies because he’s an asshat 😂)

I shortly listened to "Deja-Vu" an realisted that it is not only a) A great song b) A fans demand to play live but foremost c) the perfect opener for this tour. So here is my open letter to the Band: Dear Best-Band-Ever, I know it sound far fetched but please consider Deja-Vu as opening song for this Tour. Knowing that you will play "only" old songs (admitting that i am old as it seems), for a looooot of fans in the audience there will be a looot of Deja-Vus. So it fits lyric-vise perfectly. Power-vise -> no doubt. And as I have your little finger I will take the whole hand ask you to throw in To Tame a Land, Only the Good Die Young , Judas my Guide and Back in The Village too. Ok, Ok, this was to much..But think about it. Up the Irons and best wishes to you all. J

I recently went to their concert in Fort Worth and they did say they would be back to TX for their 50th anniversary (next year). Hopefully they do bc if their playing classics it will be such a marvelous night 🔥
Playing the early years albums is indeed the most logical choice for a 50th anniversary tour, but I can't stop thinking a 2000-10's/post-reunion albums dedicated tour would have been quite a bold move (plus we've barely heard anything from The Final Frontier and The Book Of Death since 2017 to my knowledge). But I don't want to sound like I'm complaining! I'm very excited they come back where I live (Paris) and this gives me clear ideas of the bands I will see next year. :D Thank you for your video!
I know it isn't popular with a lot of people , but Iron Maiden to me is from 1982 to 1989 when they made incredible music, were playing their asses off, and were head and heels above every other band at that time. After that, they were an oldies act, but with new songs that are just weak re-workings of what they've already done.
Got me and my dad two tickets for london, can't wait especially as it's his wedding stagg do. Now time to Try to sleep while thinking of the past two tours in my mind

And I just watched the Sydney Show it’s on UA-cam and they all look so fit Bruce running around Steve running around and they sound so great so I can see them giving up they might call it quits on world tours but I can’t see them quitting tours around the Uk and Europe
This band is the greatest, for an idea of the setlist check out Live At Donington. This has songs from all albums (IM to Fear of the Dark). With a few changes would be a great setlist if they include To Tame a Land, Murders in the Rue Morgue.
Been To Frankfurt in 2022 (Stadium with 35000 peoples in the audience) and 2023 (Indoor with 18000 peoples in the audience) and I'm a bit disappointed to get another show at the stadium but I am still very excited. I'll be trying to attend atleast three shows this time.
you killed me with your thought about us Greek fans.... Not only because (as it seems) we will never get to listen to Alexander the Great live, but also I don't think they are coming to Greece at all for this tour... And I am already heartbroken for not being able to see the Future Past tour...
id love to see derek riggs come back and do the art work and see what ideas he comes up with, always looked forward to seeing his covers as much as waithing for the album to come out
That would be awesome if Paul would be involved in that tour or some concerts. I never liked it that they refused to put the stuff from the era with him on the Best Of albums.
I don’t care what they play for this tour. I only care about one particular venue. I want to see them play at the Sphere. I can’t think of anything more epic!
I think that best setlist would be combination of World Slavery Tour and Maiden England setlist. Those 2 count around 20 or some more songs together .And of course, they should add some gems from Fear of the Dark (Afraid to shoot strangers, title song) and No pray for the dying Bring your daughter, Tailgunner). This setlist would definitely include most of the things fans are seeking for.

@@GNewcomb-q9v He's wrong and you're wrong. Can't stand Blood Brothers, nor Judas be My Guide (what the hell is going on - this is pure sh!t). My opinion.
I was hoping for it as well. Now that Alexander has been played, they need to play this banger.
I already have my tickets for the October 8th show in Inglewood, Ca. WOO Hoo
That will still be the current Future Past tour. And I envy you, I missed that.
I cant wait playing my home town of Stavanger 🎉🤟🤟
cannot wait!!!
I shortly listened to "Deja-Vu" an realisted that it is not only
a) A great song b) A fans demand to play live but foremost
c) the perfect opener for this tour.
So here is my open letter to the Band:
Dear Best-Band-Ever, I know it sound far fetched but please consider Deja-Vu as opening song for this Tour.
This is the Absolute and Best news ever! Just had a conversation with someone who believed this band was done and over. Ha Ha Ha! Not a Chance ! Eddie lives on! Iron Maiden will be around Forever Ya’ll! Can’t wait to tell this someone soon. Rock on Iron Maiden! Thank you, Thank you.!!! Up The Irons!!!
Hoping to hear rime of the ancient mariner too!
YES
Dude...50k subs just a few hundred meters away! So happy for you!
I started listening when I was at school, and now I’m officially a senior. A constant thoughout my life, I’ve seen them 6 times. I hope I get a 7th.
Super excited: got my tickets for the London show today :)
I recently went to their concert in Fort Worth and they did say they would be back to TX for their 50th anniversary (next year). Hopefully they do bc if their playing classics it will be such a marvelous night 🔥
Hopefully they bring this tour to Australia 🤞🙏💪
im so happy... im 48 and been a huge fan since 1984 power slave but never seen them live....
I love you talking about iron maiden my favorite band they come to America I plan on seeing them
Many many thanks to share your thoughts on everything concerning Iron Maiden. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Up the Irons forever!!!
Amazing Art cover again! Spectacular! 🤩😍🤘😜. No info about North America, Eh? 🇨🇦🍁🤔🙏
Love to see them cover mostly the first two albums and songs they never play.
Like back in the village and strange world.
Great content as always! Up the Irons!🤘
I really hope they come to Australia again! 🤘🏼❤️
Seeing them in Nov. can’t wait so this is incredible. Love those early records. Pls play Rime.
In November theyre still doing the Future Past tour, not the newly announced tour
@@Ragetothefullest yes I am aware. I meant on the 25/26 tour
Thank you for your video!
Was nice to have them on Monday here in Auckland. Yay.
I'll be jumping online as soon as they go on sale and getting tickets to Manchester and London 🤘
Long Live Iron Maiden
I know it isn't popular with a lot of people , but Iron Maiden to me is from 1982 to 1989 when they made incredible music, were playing their asses off, and were head and heels above every other band at that time. After that, they were an oldies act, but with new songs that are just weak re-workings of what they've already done.
Got me and my dad two tickets for london, can't wait especially as it's his wedding stagg do. Now time to Try to sleep while thinking of the past two tours in my mind
Sooooo godddd hope to see and hear you so bad 🙌🇵🇹💫🌎❤️
LET ME HEAR YOU NETHERLANDSSSS!!! :D CAN'T WAIT!
I don’t give a flying f*** what the set list is… the show and sound and presence in moment is always mind blowing no matter what
I’m still peaking from the show 2 weeks ago
This concert will be old school hardcore
Can’t wait 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟👍❤️🔥
Just watched them last Monday and when driving the 1400 km back home they announced this tour. I can’t wait for it.
I certainly hope they do come to Australia again... make it number 5 for Perth lads 🙏🇦🇺 pretty please!! I'm keen, as soon as it was speculated, I was keen lol
(ps MP I figured it was about time I subscribed to your channel lol 😁🤘)
As soon as Canada dates are announced I will be scrounging for money to see Maiden again. 🤘
Amazing band. I've watched them from a pub band in my home town in London. Just wow!
Can’t wait to see them in South Florida and in Chile… VAMOS CTM !!!
I am going to see them in chicago october 24th. And already can't wait for the 50yr anniversary tour🤘🤘 Up irons
I’m hanging out for when the Australian leg of the tour will be happening so I can plan for it & book accommodation.
For sure! Be nice if they play Total Eclipse again too 👍
I live in the USA but my buddy and myself are buying tix this Tuesday (pre-sale) for London, UK June 28 because we can't think of a reason to not see Maiden on their 50th anniversary in their home city ... this will be my 19th Maiden show since 1983 but first out of my country. UP THE IRONS!!
And I just watched the Sydney Show it’s on UA-cam and they all look so fit Bruce running around Steve running around and they sound so great so I can see them giving up they might call it quits on world tours but I can’t see them quitting tours around the Uk and Europe
Portugal was sold out in less than 8 hours, and it's an arena with around 20 000 people capacity! Me and a buddy were lucky enough to get a ticket :)
This band is the greatest, for an idea of the setlist check out Live At Donington. This has songs from all albums (IM to Fear of the Dark). With a few changes would be a great setlist if they include To Tame a Land, Murders in the Rue Morgue.
Just saw Future Past in Sydney, went off it was superb. I hope they. Come back around with this one.
I am very happy that you never forget Greek fans.
Thank you very much 🤘
Total Eclipse 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Just a little setlist wishlist songs:
Gangland
To tame a land
Infinite dreams
The Assassin
Mother Russia
How about Women in Uniform
im flying from Toronto Canada To Ireland to see this concert.
Thankfully i got to see them when they did Alex on the future past tour 👍
I would prefer indoor concerts, it sucks to be outdoor concert at june in finland. But i will be there anyway. Up the Irons!
Tour looks cool
id love to see derek riggs come back and do the art work and see what ideas he comes up with, always looked forward to seeing his covers as much as waithing for the album to come out
That would be awesome if Paul would be involved in that tour or some concerts. I never liked it that they refused to put the stuff from the era with him on the Best Of albums.
Think that is a great shout 👍
If Paul is ever going to guest with I. M then it surely will be at the London Stadium
I don’t care what they play for this tour. I only care about one particular venue. I want to see them play at the Sphere. I can’t think of anything more epic!
They did a sort of similar thing a chunk of years ago during the Early Years tour playing material from the first 4 albums only. That was great.
I've never seen them play Phantom of the Opera in all the times I've seen them.
Rip Paul Di’Anno, hoping they come to Chicago, would love to see this🤘
I'll be there! ❤ me Maiden!
See you in Madrid 🤟🏻
Just booked my tickets at the West Ham stadium. Can’t wait!! 🤘
Id love to hear Rime again especially as this is the 40th anniversary of the Poweslave album.
I'd kill to see Murders in the Rue Morgue live. I've only seen them perform it once, and that was a long time ago.
@@SWVA2TX I remember Bruce performing Paul Di'aano's classic on a "Maiden Japan" VHS tape from my local video store in 1988. (RIP to the original Maiden singer since they got their record contract)
