    Couple of Aussie characters!
Farming eels in dams was quite popular in nz a while ago for the local and export market , farmers were renting there dams out .

Great vid mate. I grew out silver perch in an old concrete water tank. Loved it and would do it again.

Had cod golden perch and silver perch in our dams for years. You lose some but great fun for kids.

I always had Yellowbelly in my dam, and at times trout. The trout eventually die off but the Yellas actually bred in there, where experts say they won't. We had 3 years of drought before bushfires devastated our property and buildings. The final straw was the helicopters using our dam water to defend the homes here and around us. No complaints there of course but that left a teaspoon of water in our usually large dam. 2 years ago I restocked with Yellowbelly and Aussie Bass, 100 of each. Since then the greedy bloody birds have ripped the fish out and I doubt there are any still in there. Unsure of whether I will try again with stocking? After all this adversity I’m not sure if I can go through it all again?

Great vid, I got rid of the red fin in our dam 25 yrs ago and was going to restock but haven't got around to it. Ill get the book , its about time I got a move on with it. Some will say what's wrong with redfin. In a dam they are really carniverous and eat each other so you never get anything of edible size. When we de stocked they were all small and had 1 half there size inside of them. Nice eating though.

we reverted to only fresh water mussels + gubbies + crayfish = forget mixing cod with smaller fish + papyrus is better with livestock
