    PART 20
Is this 2021 Part 20 or 2022 Part 1? Either way it doesn't really matter. I got 15 yards of compost delivered and used the Kubota BX to spread it and till it. Then I spread some Winter Rye seed as a cover crop. Winter Rye is really good for New England because it germinates down to 32 degrees - anything else I wouldn't be able to get growing. Cover crops are important for keeping the soil together over the winter, and will provide organic matter when I cut it and till it in the spring.
If you want to grow a big pumpkin next year start prepping now. Prepare a patch, get some good Atlantic Giant seeds over the winter, and read everything you can about growing them. Oh, and watch my videos again. You'll be surprised at how big and fast your pumpkin can grow with even a small amount of effort.

@@NortheastGiantPumpkin was that compost that you added with your tractor or was it composted manure???

@@stewartbanks3663 it was compost, but I don't know for sure what it's derived from. Most likely it's just from composted leaves rather than manure.

Like the drone aerial shots. Is your tiller a reverse tine?

@@NortheastGiantPumpkin So is mine but my results are not as good. Drag a lot of dirt forward but this is also the first year for the patch. May take a lot of years amending the soil.

@@kengalaska1684 hmmm. Does it help to move slower with the tractor? My patch is a couple of years old so I don't have many roots etc. to contend with

What did you seed in here? Just a cover crop?
