About Dave's Walks
Hi there, I‘m Dave! I've lived in the English Countryside all my life, and I love it! I enjoy walking, and couldn’t help but notice just how beautiful the UK can be away from the cities. I found myself inspired and decided to get some camera equipment and make some walking videos so I can share my walks of the beautiful countryside with everyone!
I will mainly focus on small towns, villages, picturesque landscapes, rolling hills and mountains, forests and canals, all along the coastlines in England, Scotland, Wales, and who knows maybe one day further afar!
I upload every Sunday 11.45am GMT (3.45am PST) (6.45am EST) (5.15pm IST) (9.15pm ACST)

I use the free version of Davinci Resolve 16 to do some really basic editing. Mainly making sure the sky isn't over exposed. It's from Camera straight to UA-cam. No cuts, no fancy business, no talking, just walking.

Psssst Hey there...
I have a second UA-cam channel. It is a bit different to what I do here. Feel free to check it out.
/ @mrshawster
What a beautiful place, congratulations for the excellent videos with beautiful landscapes.
Glad you like them Marcelo😊👍
Beautiful countryside. Some dog owners; not so good. I honestly thought you were going to get bit when that german shepard charged you.
I thought he was just being friendly, and wasn't unnerved by him/her at all. Probably thought my fluffy microphone was a toy. Glad you enjoyed the countryside 😊👍
Dogs are plague of UK. Everyone must have a dog or a cat
Thank u for uploading this beautiful vid so relaxing and feels like heaven🌹
My pleasure 😊👍
..could be Heaven...it's so perfect...🤍🙏🏻❤️
well, you've outdone yourself this time. absolutely wonderful walk. thanks, dave. :)
haha, I am forever on the quest to outdo myself. This one does set the bar quite high for me though, ah well challenge accepted.. 😊👍
This is one of the most beautiful places I have seen. Excellent video. You are really a hidden gem in the walking video world.
the beauty of your island never ceases to amaze

Cool walk. The place is beautiful. I love English grass:)
You love ENGLISH GRASS??? Never heard that one before..Lols😂👍
Thank you Sir! You won't believe how much peace I get seeing this
I love the Lake District! Thank you Dave for an excellent walking video. I'm really enjoying revisiting this beautiful area of England.
Glad you enjoyed it Stella! 😊👍
Thank you so much for the splendid walk I thoroughly enjoyed it.
In the beginning of the video there appears to be a church. What is the name of it and could you tell me how old the building is ?
Thank you so much.
Hi, happy you enjoyed the walk! The church is called St James Buttermere and is dated back to 1507 😊👍
OMG,, what a beautiful video!!! I live in Florida USA and I hope one day to visit the UK. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thanks so much for uploading this gem 💎!
I have really enjoyed this, keep walking and keep sharing!
❤️👍🤞👌
Wow. It's an understatement of the year to say I enjoyed this one. All the kudos Dave. Loved this.
Glad to hear it RavenStrike! This was indeed a good'en! 😊👍
Absolutely beautiful. You must be glad you did this one. I hope you rewarded yourself with a pint at either the Bridge Hotel or the Fish Inn.
Very happy I did this one. It was one I my 'must do's' whilst I was visiting the Lake District! Very happy I got it done! I didn't get a pint in at the time but I certainly rewarded myself that evening! Feet up in front of the log fire, whiskey on the rocks! 😊👍
I'm so glad I found your channel! Love it! Subscribed!
Absolutely lovely walk
We were in the UK in 2019 (from Australia) and were in the Lake District over Easter. The weather was amazing - no cloud and 23 for all 4 days! We had planned to walk around Buttermere but didn't get the chance so this is a gift to be able to watch this video. Thank you!
A glimpse of heaven on earth. If I had to pick a favorite Dave's Walk, this would be the one! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!!
wow...can you put this on a CD & mail it to me...I'll pay for it
unfortunately I don't keep the files once they are uploaded. There are sites where I believe UA-cam videos can be downloaded.. *Cough*youdidn'thearthatfromme*Cough* 😊👍
@@DavesWalks hear what 😁
Me gustó mucho tu video.
Seriously, the last time I saw a mountain waterfall like :58 was Kuai, Hawaii. England really has a lot of beauty.
Wow. That was stunning. I’ve never seen a place so peaceful and beautiful. I especially liked seeing those two German Shepherds chasing each other, barking at random things, and jumping in the lake to catch something. Man they were having that time of their lives. That gave me ASMR and totally relaxed me for some reason. I loved it!
Thanks Dave i absolutely love your videos! I am housebound and they give me so much joy and comfort
Thankyou! I have done this walk whilst on holiday in the Lakes and this has brought it all back to me. The Buttermere area is stunning. Wonderful footage!
This place is so beautiful it seems like unreal! Thank you, Dave for this fantastic walk!
Woaaah! paradise!
It is indeed 😊👍
Thank you for your great video. This makes me feel as if I am actually walking there. I happened to walk the first half of your complete walk almost four years ago, and this video vividly reminded me of my trip to your country from Japan. And I feel I am very lucky as I found this walk is the 7th best walk in the UK.
Love Buttermere - Beautiful walk 💚🙏
Thank you 😊👍
very beautiful English countryside. peaceful and tranquil. the happiness you get can not be compared to using chatbot and AI 😊 Nature is always supreme
Hey Dave. I love your relaxing countryside walk very much - it really feels like being there - great soundscape as well - great to see high quality videos like this around here. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Dave, thanks for the incredible video walk along. I must say it riles me to no end to see the dogs off lead. It's as if the owners know there's nothing anyone can do to stop report them to the authorities.
I'm ENGLISH But after watching a couple'of your videos it's given me that push I needed to get me out more and explore our beautiful BRITISH ISLES 🏴
Quite Lovely 🥰💕
Thanks 🤗
So Tranquil ❣ Thanks a lot Dave.
Glad you enjoyed it Mamta 😊👍
So very beautiful it’s lovely to be outdoors
Nice greah so lovely places thank you
Nice greah so lovely places thank you
Sorry Dave to comment so late but life's been busy. I'm trying to catch up. This might tie for one of your most beautiful walks. I was afraid for you when that German Shepard came at you. I thought the sign said dogs had to be on a leash at all times. Shameful dog owners. Glad you were ok. I see you've picked up a lot more subscribers. Congratulations on that. I still love all your videos thru the years. Well done!
I like your video feels like I am walking thank you..😊👌
Happy to hear it Rita 😊👍
You sure can walk, Dave,
Lovely walk! The trees at the lake are so interesting the way they're leaning! Wow magnificent!!♥️♥️♥️
They are interesting to see, I imagine the lake over time has exposed the roots, and perhaps that is why they lean. Not sure though.
Great wonderful peaceful nice thank you
Great wonderful peaceful nice thank you
Всё-таки в Англии очень живописно. И как-то по-настоящему.
Я рад, что вам понравилось 😊👍

Would be sooooooooo nice walking with my wife and my son in this beautiful favourite place🥲
😍
The locations are truly stunning! The video is exceptional. You are truly a hidden treasure in the world of walking videos💞
Love the mountains and the hill and peaceful waters ❤
Was delighted that I came across your UA-cam channel just the other day. Scrolled through some of your videos, saw my old stomping / driving grounds of Dorset. That made my day. Looking forward to watching them. Thanks and Greetings from Ontario, Canada 🍁🇨🇦🍁
It's really an incredible dream. Thank you very much for giving us this wonderful gift.
Beautiful place. So surreal.
Para mim, esse é o canal mais incrível do UA-cam! As paisagens mais perfeitas! Como é bom viajar através dessas imagens magníficas e exuberantes!
Abraços do Brasil.
At 22:53 into the video ...I believe you just discovered the picnic spot from some lomg lost paradise🤗.It's like something out of a dream it's so perfect😄.
💖💖💖💖💖💖😇
Just discovered your channel. Walked around Buttermere many times with my late husband whilst holidaying in the Lake District. Thankyou. A beautiful video. 10.01.2024
Amazing Dave ! Nature at its best !
Just Buttermere, not Buttermere Lake. Mere means Body of Water. The only "Lake" in the Lake district is Basenthwaite Lake" all of the others are Meres, tarns or Waters
Amazing video thanks
Ahhh, Buttermere Lake. I've been there and it's every bit as beautiful as it sounds
Im falling in Loveeeeeeeeee
The old church that it seen is similar to the church from Father Brown's TV show, anyway, the point is that it is a beautiful place, I would love to live in England, on the countryside, since I was a child I have had that desire, thank you for this nice video, the landscapes are spectacular, I really envy you, (in a good way) for enjoying those places and the whole tour, we hope to see more of those beautiful landscapes 😊❤
Alguien que hable español
Thank Dave's Walks for your thank I am your fan !👍
What an absolutely beautiful adventure dave ❤️❤️🩹
Its just Buttermere, no Lake needed. The only Lake is Bassenthwaite Lake. The rest are meres or waters.
So like Kerry…Ireland ❤
This is a fresh video. I want to make a video like this too~ 😋 It's really cool 😎.
Thanks for posting.
I will never walk here....
Buttermere is a mere, not a lake, (the clue is in the title).
Bassenthwaite is the only lake in the Lake District.
The rest are waters, tarns, meres ...
Now you can impress your friends.
Noone cares
@@flesz_ You´ve obviously never been to a pub quiz.
Tidak bisa berkata2, pemandangan yg sangat indah..makasih Dave tuk vidionya
I am only 40 minutes into the walk, but have to say thank you, Dave, for a new experience. For many many years I have been walking round Buttermere, but I ALWAYS walk round widdershins. It was uncomfortable at first when you turned left, but its a whole new look!! See you later.....
Glad you enjoyed it Judy!
Yes we live it the best country on the third rock.
Thank you for this more than beautiful video so well filmed. This landscape is a dreams with the beauty of nature...
That got a bit sketchy there didnt it? now I know why they all have ski poles lol!
Brilliant, another of my favourite walks
I wonder why the English people go for tourism in the countries of the world when they have such a beautiful nature
The only thing I can think of to answer that is the weather 😅 If not the weather then I have no idea!
British tourists want warmer weather mostly
Dave this video was truly amazing. The scenery was breathtaking and the trees are magnificent. I was so relaxed just watching and listening to nothing but the waves and crunching under your feet. I loved it! Thank you. You have a gift for sure. 👏🤗
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for the kind words!
Thank you so much for this lovely videos.
The day starts quietly then nothing happened then it went quiet again 🤭
I comment on your videos alot 😊. I absolutely love them. I got my mom to start watching as well. You find the most interesting beautiful places. We walk on treadmill with you 😊. Thanks again for these videos
Beautiful great peaceful geourgeus thank you
Какое красивое, кристально чистое озеро, подпитываемое множеством источников. Великолепная прогулка! Спасибо Дейв!
Excellent 👏
Thank you!
Great nkce magnificent peaceful thank you
What month is that? How many degrees? People have jackets on but everything is green. Can you swim in this lake?
last day of September. Autumn is due any moment, Id have to guess about the temperature is 13degrees. You can swim in the lake. :)
Nicely done, Dave. I need to visit the English Countryside soon!
I strongly advise it Vee! 😃👍
@@DavesWalks How long did the drive from London take?
@@VeeTravels Hi Vee, no idea. I've never driven from London.
Cool !!!!😂🎉
Such a peaceful paradise. Thank you!
Is there an AI tool that can automatically remove irritating sounds like barking dogs, screeching children and those who tend to rant?
Not to my knowledge no. Sorry..
Absolutely fabulous, God makes no mis-takes, cheers!
I think you'll find most of the things visible in the scene (including the shaping of the landscape) are produced by humans and animals, not gods.
You dont believe in the invisible mystical bearded sky wizard??@@TheBlackDogChronicles
Absolutely breathtaking sights. Think I will marry a farmer’s daughter from there.
1:07:45 I know that stretch! Sciatica is the worst :(
What support you use for the cam, I doubt this is with the tripod. Also, which of the cameras you used for this one?
No support, just hold it in my hand Osmo Pocket 2.
The Lake District, my favourite place in England, especially Keswick and Derwent Water. Walked around Buttermere not so long ago, so beautiful and The Bridge Inn ( 3.47 ) do fabulous meals with the Fish & Chips being one of the best I've ever had. A must visit.
Какая безмятежность! Очень красивая природа! Спасибо за прогулку! :)
Очень приятно, что вам понравилось. 😊👍
