      @@madra000 Right after every atheist adds “for me” after “There is no God.” Otherwise it turns out to be dishonest.

    The total energy doesn't change, it is conserved. It is just transferred from the coffee to the air.

      @@AverageGospelEnjoyer You're right. I completely missed the point. I don't see how a perfectly natural process can point to the existence of a God.

      Okay, and? Even though the total energy of the system may not change, the system itself does change (One of it's potentialities has been actualized)

      @@saadhorsepower8908 yeah its potential get actualized by something else thats already actual

    If God has no potential, how could It cause anything?

    • @Dylan_Devine
      @Dylan_Devine 6 місяців тому +8

      Potential is when something could theoretically be changed by something else, but has not yet been actualized. For example, a cold cup of coffee has the potential to become hot, but only if I apply heat to it, such as by putting it in the microwave.
      However, God has no potential because He is fully actualized already--or, rather, is pure actualization Himself.
      In order to have potential to change in some way, He would have to lack something and depend on something outside of Himself to provide it (like how a cold cup of coffee can't heat itself, and can only have its potential to become hot actualized by a person heating it up).
