the trinity is a stumbling block to a lot of people including myself. until you substitute the name of God, YHWH, to every instance of the word God in the Athanasian creed. it is so eye-opening how simple it becomes and why we believe in the trinity. it is for this same reason that the titulus Crucis was an acrostic of YHVH above the holy cross; the high priests understood it, that's why they demanded pilate to change it. it is the Hebrew that mattered. for the same reason that although the jews say that the book of Esther does not contain the name of God, the first four words of Esther spells out God's name in Hebrew.

Every name we have for God is just a description of some attribute of His. "God" is the most encompassing one. There is no one "name" in a proper sense. But if you want the name that describes him the best, God is proper.

Remember what the Holy Spirit spoke through the holy apostles of Jesus: “there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved; that at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow…”
