Oh your birds are so lucky to get to be outside in a big cage. I don’t put my African Gray in a cage he can walk around freely in a safe area. I wish he could go outside, but I live in Africa and it’s way too hot this summer to put him outside, so I’m worried he is missing his vitamin D. Thanks for sharing!
There are benefits to getting your bird outside safely! Yes, vitamin D, but also the wind and fresh air, the blue sky and green leaves, and all the activity they see. You can use a smaller cage to have them outside with you safely, when it is shaded and cool enough. Even 30 minutes can make a huge difference!
@@parrotsos Thanks for your answer. I think he will be ok with 30 minutes. I had my cockatiels out there a few months ago and the heat made them opening their mouth and breathing hard, so they are in the house. Normally they get to sit outside a lot, they love the wind, the air and sunshine, and listening to the other birds, just so happy out there, but this summer is so hot even people can’t take it. I think in another month things will be better, i hope.
