This is 9-27-18 in Chicago Illinois. I am fortunate to have a channel on TV that features a marathon of Blue Bloods episodes on every Wednesday from 10 am to 2 am the following day. Since I am retired now, I enjoy ALL DAY of watching reruns of this wonderful show especially since I missed the first 7 seasons of this show. I only discovered it earlier this year and have become hooked on the entire Reagan family. The family dinners hooked me especially because of their opening prayer. Being Catholic, this touched my heart since we observed the same practice in my own family when my kids were growing up every time we were together for dinner. This is the best show on television.
Donnie: "Everybody in the UK should watch 'Blue Bloods' for three reasons. (holds up three fingers) Danny Reagan. Danny Reagan..." (giggle) I love this guy to bits.
He's a very talented guy. He grew up as a Boston Irish Street Tough, who would likely have ended up part of the Irish Mob, but instead formed a singing group that my children loved, "New Kids On The Block" (NKOTB). They still do concerts, though less frequently b/c life has caught up with their beings as youngsters. (I took my kids to one in New Haven, CT. It was only one of two rock band concerts I attended in my whole life, the other being the Brit group, "Hermann's Hermits" when I was a teenager). My kids could not believe their "Boy Scout" Dad had played rhythm guitar in his own band when in HS and college! I told them to buy tix for me and their mother, both of us who grew up during the "British Invasion" in the 1960s. They were incredulous, and suddenly, their parents were "cool". He had a major role in the HBO miniseries, "Band of Brothers", one of only a handful of Americans (most Brits) who played the role of American Paratroops during WW2 in the "Screaming Eagles", one of the two highly acclaimed parachute infantry divisions (13,000 men and officers) who led the charge to invade "Fortress Europe" and take it back from Hitler & the Nazis. "E" or "Easy" Company was an assault company, the spearhead of their battalion (3 companies or approx 500 men and officers) in the 506th PIR (Parachute Infantry Regiment = 3 battalions) of the 101st Airborne Division. That performance in the series Produced by Stephen Spielberg and Tom Hanks led to a sudden discovery of his acting talent. His bro, Mark, appears to have found a similar talent; he has a part in the movie, "Patriots Day".

I haven't watched this in a while. So, I only just noticed something. The narrator, Jake Maskall, now plays Cyrus on the show "The Royals".
