I cant help but see an incredibly sharp and well prepared Bivol mostly outboxing Beterbiev for a few rounds, but then feeling Beterbievs unreal power, as they all do, and gradually unravelling once Artur smells blood. They are both special, but Beterbiev is a freak even at 40. If he's fit, he beats them all for me. He's not normal.
A couple of years ago I would've backed Beterbiev for sure. Now, I think he's old enough and has had a couple of bad injuries so I'm not as confident... I still think it's very difficult to outbox him for 12 rounds straight without getting caught clean but if anyone can do it it's Bivol. It's a true 50/50 fight!
I can’t see how bivol will keep beterbiev off of him even if beterbiev is getting outboxed early I see him walking through bivols punches until he crushes him because bivol isn’t the puncher smith, yarde, gvozdyk are and beterbiev still walked through them
With respect to age, these are the facts: George Foreman at age 45 won the unified WBA, IBF, and lineal heavyweight championship titles by knocking out 26-year-old Michael Moorer. Pacquiao undefeated Keith Thurman to take the WBA super welterweight belt and become, at 40 years old, the oldest welterweight champion in boxing history. Roy Jones Jr. last held a world boxing title in 2011 when he was 42 years old. He won the WBU Cruiserweight Title
I got bivol via UD. Too good defensively to get caught by big shots and his activity/volume of punches will be too much for beterbiev. I hate that haters will use the age excuse if beterbiev loses.
I see Beterbiev if his knee is 100% hurting Bivol early and Bivol going into survival mode and administering a hellacious beating and stopping Bivol in 9 rounds
I'm loving Jamie being back and he's covering boxing left, right and centre from 105- Heavyweight and I'm loving it as I said before. The flip flop at the end was the funniest thing ever😂😂.
So great to see u back mate, I’m from the us and have shown your videos to many of my friends cause your breakdowns are very good. With that being said I’m a big errol fan and wonder what your thoughts are about his fight against fundora and if he will ever get a Crawford rematch, thanks Mate and great to have u back
Really appreciate that bro. Thank you! I think the Fundora fight is winnable because Spence is simply a better, more skilled fighter. However, I do worry lifestyle, injuries and the beating sustained against Bud might mean Errol is past his best now. Fundora should be winnable if he isn’t badly past it, but I think the Bud fight regardless is too dangerous.
I enjoyed that. Love that you brought up Beterbiev's shifting. Not every analysis mentions it but it's so critical to the outcome. I also think the ref may have a big say as Artur lands behind the ear pretty often.
Currently, the odds stand at +116 for Beterbiev and -154 for Bivol, with many boxing experts and fans favoring Bivol. While I respect their opinions, I’m placing my bet on Beterbiev. It seems possible that some experts may be promoting Bivol, which could present an opportunity to back Beterbiev at more favorable odds.
It's just a completely fantastic breakdown of the path and history that these 2 greats have traveled and should they have fought sooner, yes, but we got it now.... lets go
Absolutely great video Jamie. Up there with the best I’ve watched since I subscribed. I was buzzing because my pick is your gut and was on the tip of your tongue and you went for Bivol! Beterbiev is probably my favourite fighter, so I have to go with him, by points. You made so many points I agree with. I think if bivol adopts an attacking style Beterbiev can catch him with counters and put him on the back foot. I think we ll see a blend of attack and defence from Beterbiev and equally Beterbiev can have success if bivol sticks and moves as his footwork is under rated. Beterbiev ain’t no canelo. He’s a 13 stone plus animal and he’s (bivol)not going to be able to unload flurries on him. This said, I don’t post this with any confidence as bivol is elite. It’s the epitome of a 50/50. I predict back and forth chess match, one for the purist fans where each man will adapt during the fight. Can see maybe a 6-6 7-5 fight and a rematch.
Great breakdown mate. I've taken Beterbiev on points at 10/1. To be honest I really haven't got a clue which way this goes. A proper 50/50. I can't wait
Haha great video man!! It's a tough one. Truly 50/50. It's funny I feel about the same about the other fights you mentioned. I knew Crawford, Inoue and Usyk were going win... Not this time. I favor Bivol but Artur is a beast!!!
Why is everybody glossing over Archie Moore when listing the greatest light heavyweights? Only heavyweights really whooped him when he was already ancient.
Beterbiev by TKO, not convinced Bivol can take his power. Mental and physical fortitude will have to be 100% for Bivol to win which I’m highly suspect of.
Congratulations! You are the ONLY boxing channel to mention a very important point . This is this fight I believe will be in a 22 ft ring. That’s 84 ft.² bigger than the tiny 18 ft ting ring he fought Callum Smith in. Beterbievs team insisted on the smallest ring allowed , and we know why . Anyone else backing Beterbiev purely because we know he has an apparent 'genetic advantage' with unusually high testosterone? The only reason not to back him is his age, and I see his 'genes' being the great equaliser there.
@@TadhgcDoran however he's managing it, he appears to be temporarily keeping Father Time at bay. Bottom line - there are hundreds of footballers at World Class level at Bivol's age. Hundreds. At Beterbiev's? Maybe one or two. Age alone *should* be enough to decide this. I'm older than Beterbiev. The drop off between 33 and 39+ is vast. It is nothing short of enforced retirement in sports where no one is trying to hurt you.
Thanks again for all the back story to each fighter. I love that part of these videos :) anybody know what time the first fight in the card is? It's so hard to find the start time. Everywhere just says the main event ring walk time
Not convinced about a Bivol stoppage. Historically Bivol is a fairly cautious fighter, would he really risk staying in the pocket with Beterbiev and getting clipped, and Beterbiev will definitely throw back. The ring size is definitely a factor that will help Bivol.
Despite the stats Bivol being a masterful defender is overlooked because it isn’t flashy. It consists of parrying the jab, using his long guard to create obstacles, Soviet Stepping to make them miss by an inch, and slipping shots. He doesn’t have the fancy head movement, dips, and upper body fluidity of Slique Blacks like Floyd or Pernell
Good breakdown. This may turn out like Crawford vs Spence where one turns out to be much better than the other. I don’t think Bivol is just going to run all night. He’s going to have to get Beterbiev’s respect early so I expect he will throw a lot of volume while moving his feet mid-combination, which he is very good at. I lean Bivol but Beterbiev stopping him would not be a surprise.
Love this, so in depth. Its mad that ring size could make a difference - there are so many small intricate little details that could determine this. Never thought of Bivol K.O but I think AB can bully DB for the majority of the fight but not get the K.O! Glad I’m not the only one who thinks it ends this way, thought i was being daft 😂
For me it’s simple in the sense I’m on the fence so I have to go with some logical tiebreakers to decide. Who’s the younger fresher guy? Who’s never been down? Whose style is more of a kryptonite for their opponent? To me it’s Bivol. He’s younger. He’s less injured. Beterbiev always struggled more against technical boxers in the amateurs and pros than boxer punchers, Usyk and Gvozdyk come to mind. I could be totally wrong and won’t be surprised either way but I think Bivol will win more rounds and surprise everyone with some power. If I am wrong I think it’ll just be typical Beterbiev. He roughs and powers his way through adversity to a stoppage or knockdown to seal the deal, probably from rounds 7-12. Beterbiev is a good technical boxer too, but I think people are overblowing it a little bit. I can’t see him slipping jabbing and countering his way to a win. 65-35 Bivol by decision
I like your last minute change of mind... I don't see Bivol stopping Berterbiev, but maybe you're right in his levels going up against top opponents, in which case, he produces his best performance, like Crawford did against Spence, and beats him down in shocking fashion... an unpredictable fight.
Cannot wait for this. If Beterbiev is 100% I feel he catches Bivol sooner or later. When that happens we'll see how Bivol reacts and how he overcomes the adversity. So hard to pick a winner.
Love this, so in depth. Its mad that ring size could make a difference - there are so many small intricate little details that could determine this. Never thought of Bivol K.O but I think AB can bully DB for the majority of the fight but not get the K.O! Such thoughtful analysis followed by such crazy conclusions! Fetherfist Bivel certainly isn't stopping AB. Yhe only fighter who may one day beat him has to have huge power to gain his respect. Artur has nowt to fear a s stops bivol 7 to 12
Bet has a rough style. Is Biv versed in dirty fighting. Biv could test Bet’s knee by stepping on his lead foot to throw him off balance and make him slip. Bullying big punchers throws them off
Good video. I've been picking Bivol by stoppage too, or wide points. No matter how well you look after yourself, boxing history tells us at near 40, you'll soon look 40 when you meet the wrong style to make you look like an injury prone fighter of that age. I think Bivol is the man to highlight that. That's not to say that's the only reason Bivol would win, I'm siding with him regardless, I think he's special anyway and is at his best when it matters, but I just think he's going to make you look your age also. Beterbiev is special too, no doubt, so it'll be no surprise if he wins. I just think boxing history tells us he's at the age where the right younger fighter will shine a spotlight on it unless he's an absolute anomaly. Look at Floyd and Manny, Floyd knew when to get out, Manny started losing fights due to age. Hopkins went well past 40 but he took losses to guys who could make him look his age during those years. I just think Bivol has a style that'll make you look your age. That's just my opinion. No outcome will shock me though.
Look through boxing history and the better boxer stops the beast. Ali Forman, Leonard Duran, Fury Wilder 2 and as you point out Ward Kovalev 2. Can see either man getting the stoppage 7-9 depending how it goes or a draw if it goes distance. I agree with your analysis and it's been my exact opinion of how it plays out for a while - I just think Bivol would get enough dominant rounds to get a draw even if dropped once or twice IF it goes distance.
Biv reminds me of Floyd in mentality. Defensive minded better to land 1 and take nothing at all than to land 10 and take 1. Has the ring iq and skills to keep it a measured boxing match. They’ll go hard and let their hands go if forced. But that is not their default setting
This is such a wild fight the odds are so crazy Bivol as a fav and you can see that in the ML and Win by Decision prop you almost have to throw money on Beterbiev Pts and Bivol KO at +700 for both i have some great prop tickets for this fight
What a bloody fight! Been going round in circles for a few days. Tied myself in knots with pros and cons on each side. Scrambled my brain a bit. Now I just wanna keep it simple: Bivol, the younger bloke with the better legs. Of course the giant caveat is staying out of trouble for 36 mins. Tough task. I wonder also if Artur will fall off the ledge suddenly one day, and that day is getting closer. What if one of those injuries he gets in training recurs in this fight, or another injury? A possibility. I watched another channel where the bloke suggested Bivol may be in worse shape than Artur if you listen to his ex missus talking about all the injuries Bivol has had. The bloke also mentioned Bivol's puffed up face from all the antiflams and cortizone he's been taking. While interesting it didn't quite persuade me. Bivol on points, and an outside bet TKO as Artur may get cut with his older skin.
One of the most sensibe, unbiassed and conscientous breakdowns I've seen from boxing analysts about this fight. Congratulations! I agree 99% on your assessment, except I NEVER give predictions beacuse even if on paper we can be right about our assessment, ON THAT NIGHT ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN. (if they were to fight twice or three times the outcome may be so different... I know fans and pundits love predictios though...). Given Bivol's COMPLETE set of tools (technical and emotional/psychological), it's VERY HARD to beat that but Arthur has his own arsenal which could make a difference anytime. Most times the arsenal Bivol has beats the one Beterbiev owns, but it's just "most times" not always... and the mastery of they both in their own style is unparallel, so it's hard to foresee who will prevail and who will have the tougher job... The interesting thing in this matchup is that both will represent the biggest challenge to one another, it will be for Bivol and it also will be for Beterbiev, given neither guy have faced such a tough challenge. Anything can happen and that's why this fight is so intriguing. Lastly, I'd say that whoever comes up on top (if done in an undisputed fashion), will have a strong case to be considered maybe the MOST DOMINANT FIGHTER in boxing today. Salute from Mexico!
After watching fights of both I am now more confident that Beterbiev will win by KO. He is not only stronger, he also is the better technician and has more endurance. Almost at 40. So my money is on Beterbiev.
I do believe that the Gvozdyk version that fought Beterbiev, the one that almost killed Adonis Stvenson would beat Bivol and at 175 was a tougher fight then Canelo. Only father time will beat Beterbiev, unless he has aged over night, Bivol will become # 21 on the TKO list.
I think this will do better than expected on PPV, in the UK at least. Frazer Clarke-Fabio Wardley II will drag in a few Sky Sports casuals as it was a FOTY contender at heavyweight. Chris Eubank is a huge name amongst casuals and then Beterbiev-Bivol is a banger of a fight. Bivol has been pulling 1-10 Million views on TikTok. I reckon 150-200k PPV buys.
The big question is: how will Bivol stop Beterbiev from advancing? Bivol doesn’t have the power to seriously hurt him, and his lighter punches (‘slaps’) won’t make Beterbiev cautious. Beterbiev will happily absorb Bivol’s shots just to land his own powerful punches. Without a threat to make Beterbiev think twice before charging forward, Bivol is in trouble. I don’t see Bivol possessing that weapon to slow Beterbiev down. This is a mismatch for Bivol - is slaps against bombs. Round 2 KO - my prediction.
If beterbiev is the same he looked vs Callum Smith, I really think he smashes bivol like he does everyone else. I just can’t see anyone going 12. Beterbiev is so economical with his movement, and guys spend so much every trying to avoid getting hit by him. So the 2nd half of the fight they slow down even a little bit and beterbiev has a full tank and pounces to put them away. Bivol is athletic and skilled but he lacks power and isn’t particularly big at the weight. Beterbiev will rag doll him on the inside. I honestly think it’s a really bad style match up for bivol. The big factor is the knee and ofc age for beterbiev, bc there’s always a chance that this is the fight he gets old overnight.
Bivol in his last fight was a little bit lackluster for me... Looked disinterested and not quite as sharp. Beterbiev last fight did look good as usual and is still carrying his power. As men they both seem like solid good men with discipline. I can see a few outcomes Beterbiev steam rolls bivol with power and pressure. KO Bivol puts on a mind-blowing performance winning on clear points or devastating KO Beterbiev wins via tko after a hard fight late rounds ref jumps in. other option its a slow fight l, tactical chess match full of hesitancy and fencing and ends as a close points win either way but probably leaning towards a bivol decision. What do i think is going to happen? Hard fought fight with beterbiev tko against bivol. What do i feel is going to happen? Bivol masterclass.
As a Beterbiev fan, i am concerned about his overconfidence. He gives 0 respect to Bivol, just saying "he knows" and other BS in the same vein. It' s possible he can' t see how much Bivol has grown. Then age & injuries...ah well, i won' t blow my top off if Bivol wins, i like him too.
I’d be incredibly surprised if Biv goes into survival mode. He has a high ring iq and makes opponents play chess with him. The majority of the time in his matches are spent fighting his fight
Interesting idea you have sir. Biv convinced himself that he can still hurt someone by knocking out Zinad. Because he has to be able to hurt Bet if it’s required. Here I was thinking Biv sold out for the ko and got hit more than usual to take out a lower level opponent
In the Yarde fight he has an abscess or summat that he was recommended to have fixed before that fight and he refused to pull out and took the fight then had it fixed afterwards
Love it!
Bivol is sharp, and moves very well, but at some point he will have to fight Beterbiev on the inside, and that will be his undoing. Great content!
Thank you brother!
A couple of years ago I would've backed Beterbiev for sure. Now, I think he's old enough and has had a couple of bad injuries so I'm not as confident... Cannot wait for this. If Beterbiev is 100% I feel he catches Bivol sooner or later. When that happens we'll see how Bivol reacts and how he overcomes the adversity. So hard to pick a winner.
🔥🔥
Can't wait for this one...3years ago, Aurtur, but now I edge Bivol...just glad it's finally happening....
Love this, so in depth. Its mad that ring size could make a difference - there are so many small intricate little details that could determine this. Never thought of Bivol K.O but I think AB can bully DB for the majority of the fight but not get the K.O!
Glad I’m not the only one who thinks it ends this way, thought i was being daft 😂 let’s goooooo
Top man, mate!
Such thoughtful analysis followed by such crazy conclusions! Fetherfist Bivel certainly isn't stopping AB. Yhe only fighter who may one day beat him has to have huge power to gain his respect. Artur has nowt to fear a s stops bivol 7 to 12
😂💪
Bet has a rough style. Is Biv versed in dirty fighting. Biv could test Bet’s knee by stepping on his lead foot to throw him off balance and make him slip. Bullying big punchers throws them off
Good that 👌
Nice one Steve!
Back with another one champ!!! A banger 💣 🔥🔥🔥🥊🥊🥊🔒🔒🫡
💪❤️
Me too.
I have money on points/UD/KO for Bivol
😊
Nice one mate
Bet went pro late at 28. He has less wear & tear than most 39 year old pros. His career prime started at 34 when he knocked out that Serbian.
Fantastic analysis as ever. I have bivol by stoppage also and the beterbiev struggles in this fight .. bivol in 9
Legend Mark!
@@cainabella4957 Thanks for watching. This is an awesome comment & I think Saturday could make it true!
I am STOKED for this fight!! I’m PRAYING Bivol will pull it off. Beterbiev is just SO DANGEROUS!! I’m going for Bivol for the win by masterclass… 😎
Nice one Mark - what a fight! Enjoy
My question is do you think Jake Paul could beat Kovalev at cruiserweight next year if he beats Chavez Jr after Tyson
Ooooooft 40 mins long! Don't envy you having to pick one this week 🤣🤣
Tough pick! Thanks for watching mate
Joe Smith Jr showed bivol can be hurt and wobbled easy
I think people are looking at the Canelo fight and expecting Bivol to just out box Beterbiev, in the same fashion. No way, Beterbiev inside 9.
Another one of those that is near impossible to predict, which is probably why Beterbiev will stop him in four rounds.
Horrible to predict mate😂
Great break down.
Beterbieve will walk Bivol down and stop him.
Nice one!
Crazy fight!
Nice one mate!
❤️💪
After watching fights of both I am now more confident that Beterbiev will win by KO. He is not only stronger, he also is the better technician and has more endurance. Almost at 40. So my money is on Beterbiev.
Agree with you.
Beterbiev has lot more endurance. Many guys just don’t see this aspect. He can also box for 24 rounds if required.
What round do you think?
I do believe that the Gvozdyk version that fought Beterbiev, the one that almost killed Adonis Stvenson would beat Bivol and at 175 was a tougher fight then Canelo. Only father time will beat Beterbiev, unless he has aged over night, Bivol will become # 21 on the TKO list.
That version of Gvozydk is unequivocally a better win than Canelo, for sure.
I think Bivol does it , i think he puts on a spectacular performance, of course if he can withstand the pressure and power of Beterbiev
🔥
Inside is Biv’s lesser range. He has a counter left hook upstairs and can throw combo hooks to the body
@@BoxingSon Oh dude, I would be stunned if it did more than 100k.
@@PunchPerfectBoxing All of that on top of a banger card. Most hardcore fan will be buying over illegal streams.
“Slaps”? Are you serious?
Ask Canelo or Zurdo if he slaps.
I’m sorry I’ve always believed Beterbiev will win the only reason I feel like Bivol might take it is cause of age
This fight is a little bit tarnished because of the controversy surrounding Beterbiev’s injuries
Biv 9-3 Bet. Biv sweeps the first three rounds, splits the mid rounds, and then again sweeps rounds 9 through 12 or 8 through 12
Beterbiev by brutally
The problem picking the winner of this fight is its just hard picking against either of them unlike most fights they are both the best of the best
So difficult to pick
@@PunchPerfectBoxing so excited for this counting down the days like a big kid 🤣
@jamesquinn9971 same😂
I can see bev targeting the body all night and go for the kill and the last few rounds!
For sure!
Based on their styles u would have thought Biv was the amateur star. But Bet was an amateur beast
I can see it too, such a close fight
Bivol in his last fight was a little bit lackluster for me... Looked disinterested and not quite as sharp.
Beterbiev last fight did look good as usual and is still carrying his power.
As men they both seem like solid good men with discipline.
I can see a few outcomes
Beterbiev steam rolls bivol with power and pressure. KO
Bivol puts on a mind-blowing performance winning on clear points or devastating KO
Beterbiev wins via tko after a hard fight late rounds ref jumps in.
other option its a slow fight l, tactical chess match full of hesitancy and fencing and ends as a close points win either way but probably leaning towards a bivol decision.
What do i think is going to happen?
Hard fought fight with beterbiev tko against bivol.
What do i feel is going to happen?
Bivol masterclass.
Bivol tends to look lacklustre against lesser guys. Fights to opponents level.
Picking Bivol to make Beterbiev look ineffectual the way Ali did to Liston, or Roy Jones did to James Toney. Bivol by wide UD.
👀
As a Beterbiev fan, i am concerned about his overconfidence. He gives 0 respect to Bivol, just saying "he knows" and other BS in the same vein. It' s possible he can' t see how much Bivol has grown. Then age & injuries...ah well, i won' t blow my top off if Bivol wins, i like him too.
I’ve noticed that as well. In their face off for TNT Sports, he was very rude I thought. Disinterested.
Bivol by stoppage 9-12 get your cash on it 👍🔥🥊
I’d be incredibly surprised if Biv goes into survival mode.
