I spent the $46 for the smaller Takumi cup. Then a couple weeks later discovered that the Iwata Neo cups will screw onto any Takumi. The only difference is the small Neo cup doesn’t have a lid and the small Takumi cup does but it doesn’t have a tight fit. But anyway, if you have a Neo, you’re in luck! Use the small cup.

Love the gun on your recommend. I bought a 1.5 ml cup smaller and lighter perfect. Could have gone with 1.25ml the hp-sb plus one but far too expensive. This setup work’s absolutely fine
I just bought the Takumi based on your recommend. I ordered the H&S 2ml cup as well. I was wondering about the smaller cup you showed from the HP-SP.. does the paint feed from the bottom of the cup or the side? It looks like the tube is mid way down the cup. Also thinking about it now, if you have multiple cups as you do, couldn’t you change colors easier just by switching out the cup and blowing the little bit left in the gun out with the new color? Maybe get the gradient between them? Or shove two different cups into both sides and see what happens? That’s would be a cool test video!
Hi you made a great choice with the takumi and a better one with the h&s cup the other cup from the iwata I have works just as good 👍 And as for the twin cups I have done it and it worked 💪
Yes I have the same issue of the cup being in the way of my trigger finger, it's annoying. But I can understand that since the Eclipse series is not for detail work so a small cup size may be even worse. About the unbalance due to the weighty cup, hum, not an issue for me since I'm attaching the water filter ps388 from creos to dial air flow, it's big but not weighty so I'm actually using my palm to minimise the unbalance, not my fingers. Yes I do feel unsecure about the cup connection😂
Thank you for this review. Next month I'm ordering the Eclipse Takumi and the Harder & Steenbeck 2 ml cup (123324) you recommended. I completely understand about what you said about weight distribution and also being a bit of an eye sore because of the size and reflection. Your HP-SP Plus is awesome but the price is a little rough. I'm new to side feeds and have always wondered if the constant removing of the cup wears down the cup stem and housing inlet over time? Anyways thank you for the info! 👍💯
I would recommend bottle feed. Especially beginners will enjoy being sucked into the experience by an extensive uninterrupted spraying time and go bigger and enjoy lettering and painting worn out tshirts etc... Also switchng colors is even easier and mixing won't consume so much time.
@@dredfxcustompaint Had this one from a fly by night seller in Canada, the cup unwound from it weld in the cup, seems companies sell knockoffs of this takumi's in Canada, you could see the weld was very slight under the chrome , from the pipe to the cup base. Odd design indeed
@dredfxcustompaint thanks mate, I just ordered myself one of these to play with and have a couple of spare 2ml H&S cups, like you I prefer smaller cups on my airbrushes even if it does mean the occasional refill break. Love your work BTW.

Hi Rob, quick question, I know the H&S 2ml cup will fit straight on this but is there any leakage from it at all or do the gaskets cross fit as well?
