Wondering about the clips to remove the chrome bezel and original grille? Does the chrome bezel need to be removed first. Also any suggestion for the clips they seem difficult
Since the sensor lies behind the front badge, is there anyway to take the badging apart? The goal would be to remove the chrome of the Toyota logo, but inside of the plastic shield... I really don't want to just tint over the front plastic.

nitara, the grill will have the wires attached to the grill. But 2018 was the first year Tacoma’s had the sensors. You can still change out your grill.
I’m not looking forward to seeing messages about my sensor disconnected cuz I am going to replace the Toyota logo with a custom one that of course won’t be allowed to have the sensor
Might want to put a moving blanket down to protect the paint and chrome from getting all scratched up from sliding around on your bed and tailgate. Can this grille housing be purchased aftermarket?
I damn tried twice to take them out , i couldnt and returned the part back. Eighter break them or dont change the grill. Espcially chrome bezel ones are to delicate and breaks right away.

I had a 2017 and has no sensors, I swap my grill and no problem, tacomas with sensors on grills are 2018 and up.

Did you lift your truck? if so, you need to make sure it has the same rake. If not, bring it to the dealer.
seeing that the front grill is kinda exposed, is it safe if it gets water in there from a car wash cause of the sensor
I would not power wash the sensor, but the engineers should have designed it to survive in all types of weather
What about sensor recalibration?
There is no sensor recalibration because it is the exact same grill from Toyota except the looks are different

How do you not have 4 clips on the bottom of the grill? I am so confused haha. So many people are going to break those 4 clips!

Thanks 4the helpbut those retaining clips could have been pushed out instead of cutting..i learned that the hard way😂
Put a towel down so you're not laying the paint work on a hard surface that can scratch the paint.
You didn’t have to cut those zip ties they pry out

I can’t get that damn harness clip to come off no matter how hard I press on the bottom part
Ivan Hernandez, those are really difficult. You can try to use needle nose pliers
