If Alaric wrote the book, well it's just for the sake of hating.
Objectively, Klaus was evil to most people, and Hope knew that, so she can’t call him a hero because he’s not. As for saying Hayley died on her, it’s easier to say that than that she died because of something she did. Whoever wrote the book about Klaus was spot on, even if it’s not how Hope remembered or feels about him, because he was a monster who loved to kill and torment everyone, even his family wasn’t safe from it, the only one he would never hurt being Hope

When he confronted Hope, she defended him but when Alaric told her no human could handle that knife, it meant that Landon was a supernatural creature himself. He betrayed Hope, angering her and bringing out the worst part of her: like father, like daughter! And quit whining over Klaus, Elijah and Haley being dead. It's done. This show is NOT about the Salvatore brothers, The Mikaelson clan ( the adults) or any one else from the previous shows. It's about supernatural KIDS dealing with their own inner demons, trying to balance the light and darkness within, just being..kids. Paul Wesley, Ian, Nina, Kat, Daniel have all said they are finished with it, all of them being cast in different shows/movies except Daniel. He's spending time with the family and getting a well deserved rest. Joseph Morgan and his wife are busy running their own little film company, Claire is about to have a baby, Riley has signed on to star in the new CW show Roswell, New Mexico, as has Claudia Black (reunion)! Yusuf Gatewood and Phoebe Tonkin also have other projects, etc. etc. In other words: give it up!! Deal with it, move on and don't judge the show on its predecessors. It's a completely different show that stands on its own. Personally, I loved the premiere, found it utterly refreshing, the students interesting and the dynamics of the relationships intriguing. I will continue to watch it while the rest of you cry all the time missing out on a show that has some serious potential. Yes, I miss Klaus but he ain't coming back and nobody else will except Sheriff Matt Donovan (that hair!) And Jeremy Gilbert. For now. Until then, give "Legacies" a real shot.

With the necromancer, they could bring Klaus, Hayley, Katherine, Stefan, Elijah, and everyone else that we miss. back They have so many plot opportunities. They could have Klaus and Hayley come back, spend some time with Hope BUT they have to kill her bc the Necromancer wants her gone. It's just an idea and I don't like it either but we could have them back for a short time at least.

The book was definitely written by Alaric. Showcased for every student to read, including Hope.
