They don’t only refer to the manga. They refer to the promotional image with Red, Blue, and Green as well as Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. The art was referenced in Pokémon Adventures.
Clefairy was also more or less the intended mascot of Pokémon, Ash in the anime was intended to start with Clefairy, but there was a last minute change and it became Pikachu, so it can be seen as the Pikachu rival.
Now more than ever I would love to see a Kanto remake in which Green is a third character throughout the game. Have her steal the third starter like in the manga but as the game progresses have her become more helpful towards Red. And as a nod to her being outside Cerulean Cave in the Let’s Go games, it should be revealed that she is the daughter of Mr Fuji and it was in fact her DNA that was used in the creation of Mewtwo. She stole the third starter and began getting her own team of Pokemon because she fears bad people may use her to get to Mewtwo. I think it’s similar to Blaine’s story in the manga but I thought it works quite well as a story for Green. Red first encounters Green in Mt Moon where she uses the starter she stole and a Clefairy that she recently caught. She will replace the scientist near the end of the cave and will choose the other fossil. This way all three Kanto trainers can be associated with a fossil Pokemon. Later in the game as Red learns more about her, Green helps him in his fight against Team Rocket. They pair up at Silph Co to take on the team rocket grunts. While Red faces Blue and soon after Giovanni, Green bravely takes on the Team Rocket executives outside the president’s office. Later on Cinnabar Island you find Green in the Pokemon mansion reading some of the diaries left behind. She seems upset and tells you that what happened here was all wrong. The next time we see Green is in the post game where she stands vigilant outside of the Cerulean Cave. She challenges you to test if you are ready for what awaits within. Once you have defeated and captured Mewtwo Green will give you a mega stone depending on which version of the game you are playing. Green’s final appearance will be in Lavender Town where she is trying to rebuild a relationship with her estranged father. For reuniting the family he had abandoned in pursuit of his research, Mr Fuji gives you a location where you can find Mew, without any special distributions or passes. With the location added to the town map you travel to an isolated island in which every HM move is required to get through. Red will have to chop down trees, move heavy boulders, smash rocks, cross bodies of water that contain waterfalls and whirlpools as well as light up a pitch black cave. But at the end of it, in small meadow Red will finally be able to face and capture Mew. And this is all thanks to Green.
Am i the only one who keeps thinking that the character names are "Red, Green, Blue"? The girl will aways be blue for me because of the mangas. EDIT: Finished the video, i am seriously too old for this. I knew it from the start XD
@@marie-camilleschaap2708 That's what we get from reading stuff with translation that's faithful and not pretty huh? Yeah the Girl is always Blue in my mind.

@@Oath13K That depends. Assuming that by "original" you mean Pokemon Adventure manga names I do tend to use them if the main game doesn't clearly give out canon names. Though again it depends. I still use Gold, Silver and Kris/Crys for gen II protags even though Remakes gave official names. I also tend to use manga names when character's personality matches that of the manga. If we're talking about Contests loving Gen III male protag Ruby just clicks faster than Brendan.
Believe it or not, Red has been advertised with Bulbasaur more than Charmander. Only Origins really has him focused with Charizard, while his main game counterpart from Yellow to S/M mainly is based on Yellow which he starts with Pikachu, the beta artwork, Manga, and the first episode of Generations is Bulbasaur.
You do get it. It has not much to do with the manga but more with the fact that official artwork almost always advertise him with a Bulbsaur. Maiking Blue the one with a Charmander (by the game's logic) thus having the girl swith a Squirtle.
In short: Red's starter according to manga is Bulbasaur Red's starter according to origins is Charmander Red's starter according to the games is Pikachu So he hates squirtle LOLOL

You : Most people were expecting Red to use Charizard, Blue to use Blastoise, and Green to use Venusaur. Not because of the names or anything. Yeaaaaahhhh noooooo, that is exactly the reason why the majority of the fandom sees each of them with those mons. Red = Fire Blue = Water Green = Grass
@@mjm3091 Actually they likely are. The massive misconception is people thinking the original promo art disproves any manga connections. It doesn't. You have a better time arguing if you enjoy the manga, key-word enjoy, not just read. 1. Altogether, they have a lot of Pokemon based on the trio's PKMN teams from Pokemon Adventures. 2. Separated, they have at least two PKMN members from the Adventures manga. 3. If you look at the new members that weren't from the manga's individual teams rather than altogether, they are actually quite fitting of their trainer's manga counterpart. However Red and Blue's personality have already been established by GameFreak before the manga. That's not the interesting part however. 4. What's interesting is Green whose personality was established by GameFreak after the manga and seems to be loosely inspired by the manga counterpart who is a devious trickster. You can see from Let's Go Green's newer Pokemon, Victreebel a luring venus flytrap, Ninetales a cursed fox and Gengar, a devious trickster himself as fitting representations of Green from the manga. 5. Blue's Mega Evolution is Mega Charizard Y. This was the mega evolution that Blue of the manga chose and he had a badass team-up with X/Calem's Mega Charizard X.
@@TheNorth15 Unless Grame Freak directly address they are based from the manga(and most likely they won't), I'm afraid I'll keep on disagreeing . Red, Blue, and Green in the games have always been characterized by the Game Freak developers and based on their own original concepts and actual production. The special manga has always been about adapting characters and concepts from the games, never the other way around. Any "connections" can be easily brushed off as conjectures, like that bit about Blue's Mega Charizard Y. Then again, even though Green _might_ be the only one indirecly based from the manga just in terms of personality, it's still a loose reference. In the end Game Green is still her own character, who is basically a gag character (Almost the same the same can be said for Red, who has managed to be unidimantional thorough the years) The Green from the manga, especially the current one are too different aside similar apperareance.
@@Yaenipponcover It seems you have the wrong idea. It doesn't matter what came first or after. I feel the best way to explain this is that instead of asking yourself what came first, how about you ask yourself a different question? Why not both the manga and the guidebook art? Is it possible the games are adapting both material? Lots of people can argue for this so ask yourself that how can you argue against it? And if you truly have read the manga then you absolutely know many of these little but strong details I've pointed out cannot simply be ignored as simple conjectures. These little details will still be there whether you ignore them or not. Do you understand why the whole "the Gen 1 art came first" argument fails completely because it establishes no evidence that the manga connections don't exist. If anything the most accurate thing you can say is that the Gen 1 art from the guidebook deserves credit too. Second, you are right that it's an interpretation based on facts. Unfortunately as of now, this is literally the only legit counterargument that I'm aware of that has any real logic to it. It' also the same counterargument that can be used against people who interpret the RGB team as based on the art from the guidebook. Not to mention it's not a very good counterargument since there are very few sources to explain why RGB teams are built this way and I'm not just talking about the starter Pokemon. I suppose it would be more accurate to say that Pokemon Adventures serves as much, or moreso, of a great interpretation of RGB's teams as much as the Gen 1 artwork from the guidebook.
Green and red are counterpart colour. Red is the protagonist and green the Antagonist. Red has Venusaur from the green edition and Green has Charizard from the red edition. It's so simple. Blue in other hand has the name and Blastoise, because blue is the third edition and Blastoise is the third starter Pokemon..
10:20 Games aren't based on manga - it is other way around. And even then Yellow was just officialy erased by new plotline of Kanto games. Chase is Yellow of game universe.
Chase isn't even a default name character though. Proof or GTFO. At the beginning of the game of LGPE you're the one to name your Trainer and Friendly Rival.
Clefairy never would have been able to sell the series as its mascot though, Pikachu & Eevee are great mascots. Jigglypuff would have an easier time selling the series than Clefairy because of Smash Bros! Pokemon Pink Jigglypuff vs Clefairy! Let's Go Jigglypuff beat Clefairy!
Another reason Green has Clefable is because Clefairy was the Pokémon originally intended mascot for the franchise before that title was moved over to Pikachu. So it’s almost like it’s counterpart in that regard.
Well, it's easy: Red has the same team as he always had in previous games minus the two starters. It is likely that after the events of LGPE Red traded his Machamp and Arcanine for Blue's Charizard and Tauros, and then traded Tauros for Green's Blastoise. Thus, Red's team of HGSS, BW2 and SM/USUM is formed.
Now I am gonna recommend one more awesome Pokemon manga that is man-made: Festival of the Kings(Champion). People in Japan say it is even better than Pokemon adventures, the 'offical manga.
I kinda agree and that's not a compliment I hand out easily. Festival of Kings is amazing though Adventures has had to deal with over 20 years of improvising every time a new set of games comes out. I dunno how that manga's so internally consistent.
@@nousername191 True. I think Adventures focus more on the Dex holders and constiency with the games while Festival of the Kings focus on Pokemon battles. However, the problem is that Adventures is trying too hard to keep up with the game - BW2 still isn't finished and now the author have combined SM with USUM in order to catch up.
Red - The Fighter Blue (Green in Japan) - The Trainer Green (Blue in Japan) - The Evolver Yellow - The Healer Gold - The Hatcher Silver - The Trader Crystal (Crys for short) - The Catcher Ruby - The Charmer Sapphire - The Conqueror Emerald - The Calmer DIamond (Dia for short) - The Empathizer Pearl - The Determiner Platinum (Lady for short) - The Understander Black - The Dreamer White - The Dreamer Blake - The Arrestor Whitley - The Liberator X - The Loner Yvonne (Y for short) - The Flyer Sun - The Saver Moon - The Mixer Henry - ? Casey - ? Yeah, what's wrong with children being kidnapped by creepy old men (Pryce using Ho-Oh to kidnap Green along with other children), the literal mafia controlling half of the region with gym leaders (Giovanni, Koga, Lieutenant Surge and Sabrina in Kanto), 3 deaths (Norman, Steven, Courtney) in the finale of a chapter, blood bleeding from the eyes of the villain (Cyrus summoning the literal devil at Spear Pilar), despicable antagonists manipulating good souls as slaves (Ghetsis and the sages manipulating N and Team Plasma), an eleven year old loner who rejected society and never leaves his home (X and his Pokemon), a corrupted company that destroyed the home and dreams of the late grandfather of a boy who spends up to $1 million to avenge his grandfather's dreams - only to lose it all and get lost in an alternate dimension (Sun's entire life), a girl losing all of her Pokemon because of Zamazenta (Casey's Pokemon being lost across the entire region because of a doggo with a shield), Archie and Maxie brawling to the death (Archie killing Maxie and surviving), a company controlling and mutating Pokemon (Team Rocket with ZapMoltCuno and Mewtwo), Artificial Pokemon having existencial crises (Mewtwo and Dexoys) and a woman turning five children into stone for a year. [To be clear, I'm a fan of the manga, not against it, I just agree some of the scenes are darker than the anime, but the anime is for kids]
Also Charizard fits Blue personality, as both are hot-headed and very competitive people/pokemon. Venasur on the other hand, is more passive and more chilled, like Red
As much as I like the manga, you're actually wrong about it tying in with their teams. Red, Blue, and Green's starters in Pokémon Adventures actually came from a piece of promotional art that you showed early in this video. This same piece of art was used to determine their starters in this game as well. So no, the manga has absolutely nothing to do with it.
correct. the manga was also inspired by the same artwork and even replicated it in their own artstyle as a homage featuring red green and blue with their starters fully evolved.
If it's related to manga more likely for Red to have the eevee. Red has the special eevee that team rocket experimented in that can change between the 3 gen 1 evolution and replaced Pikachu in the 3 yellow vols.
Pokemon games never get DLC, despite how much money Gamefreak would make from it. If we got DLC, we could've gotten Battle Frontier in Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, but nope.
Venusaur isnt weak its actually better than either of the other 2 starters since it having a good base defense stat as venusaur and it being a beast if it has solar beam
I wish the anime series follow the Adventure Saga instead of Ash story. If I could create an anime series base of the game, I would have done things different. Focus on the story, study the characters and give the main trainer the series new pokemon instead of using repeats.
Clefable is also a nice details, pikachu is the mascot, eevee has been established as the secondary mascot and clefairy was meant to be the original mascot, in some way now all three mascot are represented
@@zerox8413 One thing this video forgets to mention is that you CAN get a Machamp by in-game trade in Pokemon Yellow, so Red having a Machamp could be a reference towards that. Also, if Red gave his Machamp for Blue's Charizard, and his Arcanine for Blue's Tauros, Blue would end with his already seen team in other games. If Red then gave that Tauros to Green's Blastoise, he would end up with his iconic 3 starter team.
You know. A DLC expansion featuring Adventures Yellow would not be such a bad idea. Not only would Adventure fans get a heart attack from excitement lol, it would be a good chance to see the Elite Four, Gym Leaders and the three original Gen 1 protagonists get together and interact more.
TheNorth15 it be neat if they added some new location like the island in FR and LG or maybe add the orange islands something like that to make the dLC even more with buying
The manga also takes influence for that artwork. In fact they recreated that picture in the final red and green chapter. It makes sense since all of the manga draw influence from the games anyway
I didn't realize that the teams in both Let's Go were the similar to the teams to that of the manga. That's really cool! What's next? A backstory, in game, of the Elite 4 being part of Team Rocket?!?.....wait...
I personally think Blue should've had an Eevee or an Jolteon instead of Aerodactyl. It'd fit in to Pikachu and Clefable's "We evolve through Stones" theme.
Exeggutor says hey. In all seriousness, they probably didn't want a potential clash with Trace (as far as Let's Go Eevee is concerned). In which case, give him whatever Trace doesn't have. Raichu can be considered a superior Pikachu, especially since there's no Light Ball this time around.
Thanks to Smash Bros & the Anime, Jigglypuff is more of a mascot for the series than Clefairy. Lets Go Jigglypuff (Pokemon Pink), is more likely seeing as Clefairy doesn't have that good a reputation.
It had nothing to do with the manga. It was in Red and Greens original concept that the Red trainer had a Bulbasaur. Him having a Charizard in later promotion and in Origins was just for marketing and also because of Ash in the main Anime. Also Green is the actually the 'Gary' character and Blue is the girl who they now call Leaf. They changed that in the west.
He said that their names were switched in the video. Yes, the original concept art is what the manga characters were based off, but they're still clearly referencing the manga.
@@yesyes5912 yeah i think so too. The Letsgo Trainer kinda is based more on Ash as a character in this game if that makes sense, because Red's older design they used here is ironically what Ash is based on. I do like they are based on older designs of Red and Blue though.
Well I thought it was to trick their foes mainly. Red wears red so people will think he has a Charizard. So the challenger brings out a water type but he actually has grass and then destroys them. It’s strategic mind games just like the battle style. The manga reference was kind of obvious with the inclusion of Green. Leaf is completely different from green but pretty much a replacement. Really cool vid though, the comparisons were interesting. Ps: I doubt they’d add dlc but it could be possible since pokken has it. I personally think gamefreak is lazy with their stories, they just want to finish it and move on.
Davi Lopes your both wrong her name is blue Pokémon won't just fix their naming mistake in America for some reason give us male rival green and female blue
A 40ish Episode series based on the Gen 1 Pokemon Special Adventures manga would be great. Hopefully we get Season 2 based on the GSC Chapters as well. Although deepdown I know we probably won't get Season 3 based on the Ruby & Sapphire story or the 4th Season of FireRed/LeafGreen & Emerald even if the manga gets turned into an anime. 26 episodes of Volumes 1-7 would be way too rushed so I worry that an anime adaptation would do that since they would obviously care more about the main anime that has lasted hundreds of episodes.
It is confusing but unless you're Korean or Japanese, there's no reason for you to use the Japanese names. Rival is Blue and the girl is Green. That's how they are called in the west.
@@Yaenipponcover I still prefer to call them by their japanese names, at least their names are kept from game to game in those versions (English Versions: "Blue" is named Green in FR/LG and the official name of the girl is Leaf and now is named Green in Lets Go)
@@luisfilipe2747 the japanese named them Red/Blue/Green, that's what I meant. And that's the thing, there WAS a reason for the name switch in the west and almost no one had an issue with that in the western fanbase until 2004 when the GBA remakes of Red and Green happened. What happened is that at that point, it was already too late to "fix" it since Game Freak and Nintendo further cemented the name "Blue" as the name for the rival during Generation II. Honestly, in retrospective is still a benign change. The ones who still confuse the situation are the westerners that are bent in using the names the same as the Japanese, when all the official stuff in the west has the Rival as "Blue" and the girl as "Green". Hell, the uploader of this video knows the memo and uses the western ones. The mainstream pokemon consumer in the west knows those two characters as Blue (the rival) and now Green (the girl MC)
Cud it be BLUE doesn’t have eevee because he represents the trainers getting rid of there starter, while RED represents a trainers not evolving there starter like us, and GREEN represents trainers who evolve there starter clefairy
Lotus Tree Actually in the Adventures manga, Green was noted by Oak for her expertise and knowledge in Pokémon evolution, hence she is known as “Evolver”. Red was of course known as “the Fighter/Battler” for utilizing the moves and unique talents of his Pokémon to their fullest potential whether they were fully evolved or not. And Blue specialized in leveling up his Pokémon to their greatest power and making them strong, so he was dubbed “the Trainer”. Probably the least stand-out title.
The first time I heard about green was when that trailer for let’s go came out and everyone in the comments were like “GREEN!!” “OH MY GOD IT’S GREEN!” Also in my opinion I think Red with a Venasuar is kinda of out of place for me
@@Yaenipponcover exactly. That's why it doesn't feel out of place for me. Just because his name is "Red" it means he needs to have the fire starter. It was to show the opposition with the green version where his rival has a Charizard.

The original games are red and green, blue was a remastered version of of red and green fixing issues and localization for release in the West. Red is the main boy, green is his rival, blue is the female
Each Character has a FWG core. The two FWG cores in Kanto from the core series games was the starter trio piloted by the protagonist, and exeggutor-arcanine-gyarados piloted by the rival. For those uninitiated, the starter that was strong against the one chosen by the player replaces the corresponding member of the trio on the rival's team. I.e., if bulbasaur was picked, the rival ran charizard in arcanine's place. Pokemon Red and Green were the OG games in Japan, which is why the remakes were titled FireRed LeafGreen instead of FireRed WaterBlue, since Blue was originally the third version. To better match the original naming and the rival's starter advantage mechanic, Red got Venusaur and the rival got Charizard. The female playable character got Blastoise. Arcanine and Ninetales were matching version exclusives in the core series games, sharing the same Base Type and evolution requirements. They also both have a "Nine" in their English names. Arcanine was given to Red and Ninetales to the female playable character simply because Arcanine looks more masculine and Ninetales more feminine. Lapras was added to Red's team to fill the FWG core, a mon he used in HGSS, while Victreebel was added to the female playable character's team to fill her FWG core. Vileplume was likely ditched because of similarities in the design motifs, as well as the branched evolution path that Gloom could take. Snorlax, Tauros, and Kangaskhan were, at varying stages of Pokemon history, the most dominant Normal Type Pokemon in the metagame. Tauros back during Gen I, Kangaskhan throughout Generation VI (thanks to Mega Evolution), and Snorlax after the Pinch Berry update in Generation VII. Red gets Snorlax because it was a staple of his Johto teams, the rival gets Tauros cos thematic wise Tauros is the more combative one, while the female playable character got Kangaskhan cos it is a mother (Parent Pokemon). Pikachu serves as the franchise's mascot, in a mirror to the female playable character's Clefable, whose pre-evolved form was the OG pick for the mascot. Aerodactyl served as a combination of both Rhydon and Pidgeot, the two other members that made up the rival's champion team in FRLG. Machamp acts as a counterpart to Alakazam as a brawns vs brains concept, while Gengar serves as a mixture of the two: a Pokemon that hits off its Special Attack, but prior to Gen IV, had both STAB hit from its Attack instead.

U u forget every version of red has Snorlax not just the manga and also do a team prediction video for the protagonist in future let’s go games
There’s rom hacks of fire red that go along with the manga storyline
'Three legendary trainers' one can't talk, one defies hair physics, and the other tried to catch a person. Still good pokemon.
Am i the only one who keeps thinking that the character names are "Red, Green, Blue"?
The girl will aways be blue for me because of the mangas.

@@marie-camilleschaap2708 That's what we get from reading stuff with translation that's faithful and not pretty huh? Yeah the Girl is always Blue in my mind.
I said the same things before some imbecile tried correcting me. That Red's male rival will always be Green to me and his female rival be will always be Blue.
Do you call any of the other characters or Pokémon by their original names?
@@Oath13K That depends. Assuming that by "original" you mean Pokemon Adventure manga names I do tend to use them if the main game doesn't clearly give out canon names. Though again it depends. I still use Gold, Silver and Kris/Crys for gen II protags even though Remakes gave official names. I also tend to use manga names when character's personality matches that of the manga. If we're talking about Contests loving Gen III male protag Ruby just clicks faster than Brendan.
Pikachu, Aerodactyl and Clefable clearly all want to hug you, I mean, Look at their poses, they must love their huggable pokemon
The teams match the original plan at Satoshi the Pokemon Creator had intended. Not what Nintendo wants to use to make money.
In short:
Red's starter according to manga is Bulbasaur
Red's starter according to origins is Charmander
Red's starter according to the games is Pikachu
So he hates squirtle LOLOL

Im finally reading the manga and wow I'm beginning to wrap my mind around the different storylines between the manga, games, anime, and origins.
So i played the game of manga version and it was perfect so the red actually starts of with a poliwag later it evolved into poliwhirl and at the end at the fighting type version so they met each other when red was drowning and poliwag saved him from drowning and so on they made a strong bond and there is also an eevee that has a device which makes him evolve to every type and there is more eeveeloutions and red gets bulbasur by oak and it learned solar beam at the start so it is very cool and green was the sneaky one and blue was gary absolutely why not and red has more emotions not like that red just sileng
You : Most people were expecting Red to use Charizard, Blue to use Blastoise, and Green to use Venusaur. Not because of the names or anything.
Yeaaaaahhhh noooooo, that is exactly the reason why the majority of the fandom sees each of them with those mons.
Red = Fire
Blue = Water

He might have been sarcastic?
I love the manga and I love how the teams are based on them. Great job man.
Yeah in the manga red, green, blue, gold, silver, crystal, ruby, sapphire and emerald united to defeat the boss of team magma and aqua
But those teams aren't based on manga. That's massive misconception.
The manga is way better then the anime
Go Bullbasaur!
Cringe...
Green and red are counterpart colour. Red is the protagonist and green the Antagonist. Red has Venusaur from the green edition and Green has Charizard from the red edition. It's so simple.

PokéXYZ ! *casually forgets Brendan and May were called Ruby and Sapphire in the manga*
Finally an explanation video!
"The reason he uses these pokemon is because he pretty much always uses these pokemom"

The irony of their titles is despite Silver being the trader, Blue has the most pokemon that evolve via trade (Alakazam, Machamp, Porygon 2, Scizor)
Also Charizard fits Blue personality, as both are hot-headed and very competitive people/pokemon.
Venasur on the other hand, is more passive and more chilled, like Red
don't know if i would use hot-headed for green but he is very driven and objective focused.
Theoretically we could be Yellow, considered these games are like spiritual successors to Pokémon Yellow.
I think ash is yellow, but since he’s not in the games, yeah we could be yellow

Your like the only UA-cam to work this out, most still call Green, Leaf. Good work
As much as I like the manga, you're actually wrong about it tying in with their teams.
David Briscoe his point about clefable was also a stretch as it’s likely a reference to how clefairy was going to be the mascot before Pikachu
I’m a really big fan of the manga so I was really excited for this

If it's related to manga more likely for Red to have the eevee. Red has the special eevee that team rocket experimented in that can change between the 3 gen 1 evolution and replaced Pikachu in the 3 yellow vols.

Focus on the story, study the characters and give the main trainer the series new pokemon instead of using repeats.
Clefable is also a nice details, pikachu is the mascot, eevee has been established as the secondary mascot and clefairy was meant to be the original mascot, in some way now all three mascot are represented
I thought that all have trade pokemon implies that they are trading with each other

*If there ever will be a third version I want Yellow to make an appearance in Lets Go Clefairy.*
Thanks to Smash Bros & the Anime, Jigglypuff is more of a mascot for the series than Clefairy. Lets Go Jigglypuff (Pokemon Pink), is more likely seeing as Clefairy doesn't have that good a reputation.
I used both Clefable and Gengar on my Let's Go team too.
To be specific , red uses Bulbasaur , green uses charmander (the rival) and blue uses squirtle (the girl )
I thought so! Because to me the Gary Character was always Green
@@yesyes5912 yeah i think so too.
The Letsgo Trainer kinda is based more on Ash as a character in this game if that makes sense, because Red's older design they used here is ironically what Ash is based on.
I do like they are based on older designs of Red and Blue though.
I don’t live in the west oof
You talking about it references the manga. Immediate like :)
In the manga Red caught a Pikachu that was causing problems in a town.
When I saw first battle footage of greens battle I instantly remembered the adventures manga
You should do a video where you make teams for trainer trios

They should really make atleast the first series of the manga into a spin off anime like they did with origins..
It’s so confusing hearing you call Green Bule and Blue Green
Get me?
It is confusing but unless you're Korean or Japanese, there's no reason for you to use the Japanese names. Rival is Blue and the girl is Green. That's how they are called in the west.
@@Yaenipponcover I still prefer to call them by their japanese names, at least their names are kept from game to game in those versions (English Versions: "Blue" is named Green in FR/LG and the official name of the girl is Leaf and now is named Green in Lets Go)
@@Yaenipponcover it's not even Japanese names tho, us just exchange the names for literally no reason
Yaenipponcover being Korean or Japanese has nothing to do with calling names

Lotus Tree Actually in the Adventures manga, Green was noted by Oak for her expertise and knowledge in Pokémon evolution, hence she is known as “Evolver”.
Red was of course known as “the Fighter/Battler” for utilizing the moves and unique talents of his Pokémon to their fullest potential whether they were fully evolved or not.
And Blue specialized in leveling up his Pokémon to their greatest power and making them strong, so he was dubbed “the Trainer”. Probably the least stand-out title.

The original games are red and green, blue was a remastered version of of red and green fixing issues and localization for release in the West. Red is the main boy, green is his rival, blue is the female
really good arguments!
+Hybrid Hero, DO YELLOW!!!!! Great video man. BTW, someone kinda pointed out your theory on Clafairy being the third starter when in the Pokefan house.
Haha thanks silverbuller! And yeah a lot of people have showed me that! I'll get to talking about it soon :)
+@@HybridHero do you think you could do a video on Jack from Mass Effect's Pokemon team? I'm having a hard time doing one myself.
Nice video
