We were on the Seashore two weeks ago and they have changed the muster drill. Once you get on the ship you go to your muster station and have your card scanned. Then at your leisure before about 4pm you watch the safety video and then dial in your code. All done. We were in the Yacht Club. You guys are very entertaining.
@@USKeyService oh this is so good to know!!!! Before we had sailed we watched other UA-camrs mention the poor muster drill in their videos. I think MSC is really starting to take all negative reviews to heart and are making big changes and it’s really exciting.
I just returned from cruising on the Magnifica out of Miami two days ago and our muster drill was the same as yours. We watched the video at our convenience before sailing. I actually liked it better than Royal Caribbean’s muster drill in July, which felt very chaotic.
We had no issues with the yacht club restaurant except temperature of the food was hit or miss. We are late folks so dinner at 730 or 8 with plenty of time to catch the 10 pm show with cocktails out in the party worked fine
BC Ferries will just spend 30 secs. on muster. I love offal, even fried chitlins but not bone marrow. I love tacos de lengua al vapor! Off peak, they should give you more time. I hear those damn beach umbrellas generate $1,000 a mo. Great even for a scooter rental-insane!
There is an ice fall sauna near the finish sauna in the thermal spa,,, and just an fyi,, the pizza that you order in the YC is actually made at the buffet,, we saw a line of butlers waiting for YC pizza orders LOL!!!
@@Mikesa-tb5cr yes we knew the pizza was from the buffet. It’s amazing. All the italian food on the ship…..just excellent!!!! Too bad we missed the ice sauna but honestly we probably wouldn’t have used it since the steam room and hot tub were too crowded for us to feel comfortable warming up there.
We've been in the Haven twice now, but are thinking of switching to the YC for our next cruise. My one wish? That some sailings for the Haven or YC were adults only. So many kids ruined our experiences on both the Jewel & the Breakaway, so this is why we may switch. Why don't cruise lines realize that sometimes parents would like to have a relaxing vacation & not spend it with other kids? It doesn't have to be every sailing, but a few a year would be nice. I'd really love it if places like the Haven or YC were always adults only, but I don't expect that to ever happen. Thanks for all the information on the Meraviglia.
@@kaylam1743 we agree with you whole heartedly about traveling without children…..especially when springing thousands of extra dollars for a suite. We did stay in THE HAVEN on Norwegian on a 2 week cruise in January and there were very few children so the longer the cruise in an off peak month the less kids there are!🙏🏼
@@philt69 we definitely 100% looked for hot chairs. They must be gone or hidden deep. The cold room I figured we missed because we didn’t look into every single room.
💯 there is an ice room, as well as multiple cold showers, sensory steam rooms, saunas, and a salt room...plus there are TWO hot tubs in the Aurea Spa. I just got off today, 7/7/24, and we were also upgraded to YC Balcony Suite. High tea was nice, our meats were spot on, the butlers were great, the concierge staff was on it, the massages at the spa were great, as were the Carousel shows.
Maybe Your Filet Was A Ball Tip Cut Instead Of A Regular Filet Mignon. We Had That Experience Once On Princess In The MDR. You Could Order A Filet Mignon For A $19 Up Charge That Turned Out To Be A Tough Ball Tip Instead Of A Filet Mignon. Great Video Laurie And Gary 😀
I sailed the Seashore Yacht Club last May and have booked the same for next year. We definitely didn't have the same experience with the beef. Truthfully when we sailed Aurea level in the past we enjoyed Butchers Cut but found the Yacht Club so good we didn't feel a Butchers Cut visit was needed . Hopefully it was an abberation.
Everything is all inclusive too on the Explora 1with welcoming champagne. We had a butler once on Oceania and had no idea what to do with him. Not butler people.
Filet Mignon-that is supposed to be the most tender cut WTF? The last tough roast I had was sirloin tip-they must have given you that or it was over cooked. I would MVAS, MSC but not Costa-I hear very smoker friendly. Carninival seems like rowdy booze cruise.
msc very difficult with fixing my voyagers club points. Still says 0 and I have booked 2 and cruised 1 with them. Calling doesn't help. They assured me it would fix itself. Nope. still 0 pts.
Liked this format. We’re going on Explora1 an MSC ship. Supposedly all cabins will be suites. Hoping the meat experience will be better than yours. Never went on MSC before here’s hoping.
Will let you know after January from Miami to San Juan then back from PR to Miami in February. I’ve been looking at UA-cam videos of the ship and excited to go. Better than flying to PR.
I think it is only certain sailings where kids sail free, we have sailed msc many times but our son have never been free 😂 we are going on seascape next month on a b2b and we paid for all 3 of us, maybe the kids sail free dont count if you are in a suite
@@Cami_1606 i asked CHAT GPT and this is what it said: Yes, MSC Cruises often has promotions where kids sail free, but the specifics can vary based on the time of year, itinerary, and availability. Typically, children 11 years old and under can sail free when sharing a cabin with two paying adults. Sometimes, this offer extends to older children or teenagers, but it's best to check the latest terms and conditions on MSC's official website or contact them directly for the most current information, as these promotions can change frequently.
