- This week we fit an anytime diff lock switch to the the N80 Hilux and also some slimline weathershields
The diff lock switch will engage the rear diff lock without having to be in 4wd low. It is super easy to install and makes doing skids easy.
The weathershields can be a little tricky to install but I’ll show you a sneaky little trick to make it easy to install your own.

Did you have to unplug the oem locker from the back of the switch.
Hey just curious how’s the Ute go doing doughnuts and that type off stuff now? Does the traction control limit you at all I know you can manually turn it off but it automatically turns back on after certain wheel speed

How did you make it so you can sit brake in the N80? Mine just bogs out as soon as the start spinning

@@procheckautomotivemechanic4551 I have the same diff locker, have the full traction and stability control turned off and when the wheels start spinning the engine just bogs down and doesn’t let them keep spinning when I’m sitting on the brake 😢

Hey buddy i just installed mine too but those the stock diff locker get switched off ?
To lock diff you will need to use new switch
Does the difflock indicator light on the instrument cluster still work?
Sure does, works as normal. Have to press diff lock switch for it to engage in low as well

Also, which bonnet strut kit do you put on the N80? I’m chasing a single sided one that mounts to the front of the engine bay, like what you have fitted.

Yes will work if same setup at 2.8
