Bjorn Ironside Runestone

- The fragment of this runestone gives a short glimpse of the somewhat boilerplate message on many other runestones. However it is not related to the person Bjorn Ironside, although it is placed on top of what is believed to be his grave.
The grave field is about 1200 to 1500 years old. The runestone is younger and probably around 1000 years old.

Honestly it's so cool to know a thousand years ago people were standing right where you stand
think of all the old cities in the world. i doubt there isn't a inch somewhere that someone died on
Pretty much anywhere you go in the modern world had ppl on it a thousand years ago lol
@@midnite_in_november yeah true lol
It gladdens me to know that Odin prepares for a feast. Soon I shall be drinking ale from curved horns. This hero that comes into Valhalla does not lament his death! I shall not enter Odin’s hall with fear. There I shall wait for my sons to join me. And when they do, I will bask in their tales of triumph. The Aesir will welcome me! My death comes without apology! And I welcome the Valkyries to summon me home!
This makes me happy
Bjorn Ironside - You can't kill him 💖
Indeed! "As long as a mans name is spoken he never dies".
Oneday i will be drinking ale from curve horns in the hall of gods. can't wait to visit the place of great warriors.😊😍
You worship Odin tho?
😂
I don't think so😅
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. - John 3:16 from the Bible ❤
@ShrekFanPage Christ's resurrection and conquering of death is a 100% confirmed thing OUTSIDE of the bible. Peter and Paul are the only disciples to known to have existed (obviously, we Christians fully believe in the 12), and to some people, they consider them to be scam artists. So let me ask you this, why would a scam artist choose death? Why wouldn't he just come clean to the Romans when they were persecuting both of them? These men TRULY knew Christ, and knew that He resurrected. Paul was beheaded, whilst Peter was crucified, the most painful form of death from that time. Not only did Peter die for Christ, he even ASKED the Romans if he could be crucified upside down because he did not see himself worthy to die the same way Christ died. So why would two scam artists want to be hunted down and killed? They could've just came clean and told everyone that it was fake, but yet they chose to stay faithful to the Lord God.
just to pay respects i dont think anyone special is buried there
Why not?

Bjørn grave Is in the Isle of Munso,Sveden
There’s large studies to prove that that stone is not the same Bjorn Ironside everyone thinks it is and I mean tons of studies that pretty much prove that wrong and it’s backed by academic scholars as well
@@NightWispOfficial Its hard when they dont allow them to look for remainings
What if that mound isn't Bjorn Ironside what if it is Beowulf??
