OH my word i could talk to this woman all day- so unassuming, so polished, so elegant yet absooutely approachable and STYLISH! CLASSIC beauty- she, her home and gardens! Kimberly
As Bettie was talking I kept thinking, "I know that voice." Finally it occurred to me, she sounds a lot like Jane Fonda. When she said she was from California it all made sense! What a lovely tour from an accomplished woman, thank you!
Me too- such class LOVE her! WOW she is very down to earth, real and secure in herself and her style- classic! Stellar.... he home video they have on here is superb! Kimberly
There is no UA-cam channel that comes anywhere close to the incredible content you deliver. I literally giggle with delight with each new upload. This was a particular treat for me, as I just discovered gardening at the beginning of the Pandemic. Thank you.
Oh how I agree with you. Background music is so irritating as it drowns out what a person is saying most times especially for those of us up there in age. This was pure nirvana.
Betty is a wonderful hostess and a real natural speaking on camera. She’s not reporting. She’s truly sharing. Her anecdotal comments and humor sprinkled throughout are just right. I really feel as if I’m a guest getting a one-on-one tour!
I love Bettie Bearden Pardee, I've been a follower of hers for years. She is so gracious and knowledgeable about all things gardening and she's delightful to listen to. Much love Homeworthy, this was an excellent show. Thank you Bettie, love you.
I agree. This was so uplifting to view and so beautifully filmed. Bettie must be one of the most revered, knowledgeable people around - I almost missed it as it was found in a little used site. Thank goodness I came upon it. Thank you, thank you Bettie and a wonderful New Year to you and your family.
What a lovely lady to share her exquisite gardens with us! Every part of her gardens show thoughtfulness and a nod to her favorite colors of green. Thank you, Bettie, for letting us see your gardens.
Truly you're so blessed to have such a beautiful garden. And a devoted and hard-working gardener, which we would all love to meet and hear him talk about some of the plants he takes care of. Thank you so much looking forward to meeting him. Bless you.
This woman is so down to earth, its like visiting a friend. Loved her beautiful previous home tour, crushing on this amazing garden, and can't wait for whatever she would share with us next. Maybe her home and garden at Christmas!!!!!! I can only imagine!!!!
I especially enjoyed this video! We recently visited Newport, spent 4 days there in this marvelous New England town. I too, have been a gardener for 50 years, and was influenced greatly, after a trip to Europe. Moss, statuary, old world pottery, and yes,Roses, many climbing species . My William Baffin,is one of my oldest, and gives me hundreds of blooms at once. Love you exquisite French home and Gardens. Thank you
After seeing the majestic interiors in a previous episode, it was delightfully refreshing to see Bettie so engaged in her glorious garden and so comfortably dressed. While she is most elegant a lady, she is a true gardener in the best way.
Yes please, more Bettie Bearden Pardee! She is a wonderful landscape teacher. So charming, knowledgeable and down to earth. Can't wait for the third episode.
How absolutely beautiful. The espalier “fence” is truly unique and gorgeous. As for the deer and rabbits... I just think of them as God’s way of keeping gardeners humble!
She was lovely then and she is lovely now, whether inside or outside touring. She is elegant but down to earth. Always will welcome her tours from H/W...again thank you for allowing us to visit with this hostess again. 🐰🐰🐰
Lily you are an amazing young lady, love your energy, style and classy essence. Sending you lots of blessings and positive vibes. SKATE, LOVED THIS VLOG❤
In the midwest we use dry Cayenne pepper...we sprinkle around all our plants (does not harm the plant)....bunnies hate it. You would need buckets for your garden but it works like a charm (just lay around the perimeter of your garden)!!! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS GARDEN!!!! Bettie is a STUNNING WOMAN and needs her own gardening channel!!!!! For years I have incorporated herbs with my garden landscape....it's incredible!
@@annsmith7207 yes it does and you have to reapply it...but it doesn't hurt any plants. apply at night when bunnies are active at night in early morning. We actually use it because it's not harmful to pets either.
What a delightful garden tour! Totally drool-worthy! She created a timeless European-inspired garden, perfect for entertaining. I particularly liked the roses and the white garden. That fabulous greenhouse aka party glass house is the icing on the cake. Love that garden bench! I can relate to seeing something decades ago and making it a reality many years later. It is a great statement piece in her private courtyard. She comes across as a genuinely lovely, gracious lady with a beautiful spirit which is perfectly reflected in her garden. Impressive and inspiring!
What an incredible Lady and talent! I so appreciate the time she set aside to share her beautiful gardens and gardening tips, and have watched this 3 times over in just the span of a day. She is simply grace and elegance intertwined.
I absolutely love this episode. I found it so inspiring, and was just full of ideas. I have never thought about bringing Hostas indoors. SO clever! At first I thought a 36 minute garden tour ? And at the end, I felt it wasn't long enough, just full of inspiration, tips, and knowledge. Totally inspired me to be a little more elegant in my own garden, Miss Bettie has wonderful taste and such an eye. Loved this.
I hope there IS a third (and more) tour with her. I especially love how she is so tactile with her home and garden - you can tell that she is in her happy place!
This house inspires me a lot. And her house, garden, attitude, tone, and sense are all so lovely. Especially, I enjoy looking at props and furniture.I live in the East and this video feels like I'm looking at a Western aristocrat.
Please do a tour of a fall garden.! I could watch you and your spectacular garden all day! Such a lovely garden and Lady! So Real! Thank you ... another garden tour, please!
Absolutely beautiful tour and this lady is so down to earth. Thank you for sharing your gardens with us as well as your home. I live in Massachusetts, and I always adored Newport.
I live in Kennebunk, ME and for years the deer ate ate in my garden. Then a friend in Wilmington, NC shared what she used to stop the rabbits eating in her yard- Liquid Fence. It has allowed my friends garden to prosper and now mine and my husband’s vegetable garden - no deer nor rabbits.
Always a joy to visit with Betty Bearden Partee ! What a lovely garden. Enjoyed the garden very much. I grow roses also. It has been a challenge here on the Georgia Coast this Summer.
I truly enjoy watching you weather it be inside your lovely home or out in that amazing garden. I did have rabbits which are adorable but they somehow thought my garden was a huge salad bar! Try spreading shavings of Irish spring bar soap the green kind. I started doing this several years ago and have had great success keeping those little rabbits out. I replenish about every 3 weeks. Hope that helps.❤
Such a delightful, serene garden! I, too, love all shades of green. You have the best of two worlds, woodland and floral. The structures of each space draw one into a private garden.😊
If I may suggest in your lovely garden, try Zepherin-Droughin from 1968 in France- THORNLESS and smells like heavenly raspberries! You will love them - I have had mine for twenty seven years- itis a gorgeous climber. (P.S.: your rabbits will appreciate the thornless rose, too!) WONDERFUL gardens! Kimberly
Indeed. Indiginous to South Africa. It can really sprawl an give gorgeous display when it'standing in a more condusive place with it's feet in the ground.
I used to love my garden in La Jolla, Ca as it was the one place I could be without being disturbed by family as they didn't want to be roped into any work!!!
In addition to everything you are doing to keep the rabbit damage to a minimum, I sprinkle milorganite around the perimiter of my gardens. It keeps the deer and rabbits away. They don't like the scent and they move on. It works for me. I grow lots of things they would love to eat. Thank you for the beautiful tour of your lovely property.
You so much for sharing such a beautiful garden video with us and a beautiful home. You have also so many great garden tips and so much beauty to be in Joy. Hugs and kisses from grandma, Sandy and Debbie.
Stunning gardens ! I love roses, however the Japanese Beetles are really loving them this year too !! please share how to get rid of them !! Thanks so very much !!
Hi My Sister Barbara, Thanks for taking me along to Pottery Barn. Its is a besutiful store. There isnt one in my area. I do love seeing the beauty through your lens. I see its still very hot but little pieces of Fall are peeping through letting know Fall is coming slowly but surely. Thank you so much for sharing. I loved this. I love those glass brown beads.❤❤Stay blessed my sister
I love seeing this garden. My own lovely garden has almost been destroyed by the awful heatwave. With the extreme temperature swings in winter and summer, I’m thinking of hanging up my trowel.😦
OH my word i could talk to this woman all day- so unassuming, so polished, so elegant yet absooutely approachable and STYLISH! CLASSIC beauty- she, her home and gardens! Kimberly
I love Bettie! You can tell how happy her garden makes her

That's it !
I am mad for this woman! Her home and garden are pure magic. Such a polish and elegance, she has. What a slice of heaven! Stunning!
Me too! I remember her earlier home tour. She seems like such a warm, hospitable hostess - totally in love with the concept of “home.”
Well said! I feel the same.
Me too- such class LOVE her! WOW she is very down to earth, real and secure in herself and her style- classic! Stellar.... he home video they have on here is superb! Kimberly

This lovely woman is also very talented, both in the garden and in her home. And she so graciously shares her talents with us, the viewers.
Thankfully there is no background music in this video. So I can enjoy the content and the knowledge of Ms Bettie. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.
Oh how I agree with you. Background music is so irritating as it drowns out what a person is saying most times especially for those of us up there in age. This was pure nirvana.

Surely more than one gardener for such a large area?
Love the garden but what is so beautiful is that it is cherished by its owner 💞

Ohhhhh NO! Cayenne??? That can seriously burn a bunny rabbit's eyes! I wouldn't use that approach! :{ !!!!

This was so inspiring. I could talk gardening and flower arranging with her for hours.
Too bad this wasn’t filmed earlier when the other flowers were in bloom. What a beautiful estate.

I have absolutely loved your two home and garden tours! You are amazing!!!🌷
Every owner such as this should rightly introduce their gardener
I agree. That said, it's a long term partnership and hard work that results in a garden of this caliber.
Such a beautiful home and garden.
What a treat to see how this garden unfolds! Just wonderful! Thank you!
