In this sample episode from his new masterclass series, Garry describes his first encounter with the World Champion, Anatoly Karpov, when he was just 11 years old.
My chess hero of all time ❤️
he is by all accounts not a hero ...
@@Sandel99456He said "chess hero"Take your negative energy some where else.
Very instructive.
Love listening to his voice 😊
I was just 12, but I played the world champion ❤
i want to see kasparov play hearthstone
YT algorithm is dead, just take a look how many views this video earned(((
We are not worthy
Kasparov and Karpov were far closer in strength than history might lead us to believe.
Karpov's strength advantage was negated by Kasparov's youth and energy.
Unfortunately, on the back of this, Garry's been bullshitting the chess world for decades.
There's actually very little of use you can extrapolate into the real life from the game of chess.
See what Morphy or Fischer said.
yeah also karpov was a world champ for a decade before kasparov challenged him , it is funny bc the 12 years age gap between them , is the same gap between kramnik and kasparov , ,,
He is a good chess player, but a poor character.
he does a terrible job i was confused.... then again i hate when they teach a chess game showing 100 possibilities
Sorry Garry you never beat him, on revanch you barely made a draw and you clearly lost first match so people who understand chess know that You weren’t better
U should look how Magnus ranked Karpov and Kasparov and then remove ur comment
@@mickael144 who gives a shit about what Magnus thinks? Kasparov and Karpov were as close as it gets lol, look at their head 2 head. And the OP is right, Karpov was leading the match 5-3 and needed 1 more win but FIDE decided to stop the match
What's Karpov's highest rating, huh? When Kasparov achieved 2800 only Karpov was 2700 no other player was even close to Kasparov that shows his sheer dominance
@@harshalbhanarkar you are delusional buddy. Look up at Karpov - Kasparov H2H , Kasparov has a little better score and that's all.
@@rokanza2293 I know the result of their wc matches, but also look at their head to head score - in Classical games, Kasparov leads Karpov with 28 wins, 20 losses,Only rapid/exhibition games: Garry Kasparov beat Anatoly Karpov 11 to 5, with 10 draws that is not just a little better and almost every grandmaster agrees the Garry is the greatest player with Magnus and Fischer in the contention but Karpov is not even in the discussion
poor quality game
Love listening to his voice 😊
