I could listen and see Rhiannon 1000 times and each time I get the chills. She is an absolute gift to us all.
She is a genius AND talented AND polished, due to hard work. I think she is the #1 person currently performing music in America.
Ms. Giddens you are transcendent. The blending with Mr. Turrisi's sensibility is wonderful.
Music doesn't get better than what the two of you have given us. Thank you
So thats what a Angel sounds like :)
L love what Rhiannon does both musicaly and sharing the true History of the Banjo. Her singing is inspirational.
A unique voice , accomplished player. a new professor of musical history a must follow,
You got a great voice I love your voice and your singing and the meaning of your songs
Thanks for posting and sharing these wonderful sounds. Love Rhiannon and Francesco duets. 💗
Food for the soul. Can't thank you enough.
YES!
She gives me chills
Kate Cooper Same here! Literally lol
Tim O'brien have you seen her live yet?
Kate Cooper No I have not been lucky enough to see her live... Unless you count the live shows on PBS 😁
I caught the Carolina Chocolate Drops at a festival in NJ some years ago, and of course I was blown away. And now I have tickets to see Our Native Daughters this July in D.C. but I really want to see Rhiannon with Francisco as well.
@@katecooper5007 I drove to Colorado when they opened for Old Crow Medicine Show , to see the CCD , Dom Flemons had left the group and Layla McCalla had replace him . My only complaint is that CCD were the opening act, only had a short set , but it was RED ROCKs !
Very well done. I love Rhiannons voice, and Francesco Turrisi did an amazing job with one of the most underrated musical instruments out there. The accordion is a difficult instrument to learn, probably why it isn't utilized more. THANKS for publishing this!
Their concert in Darmstadt some weeks ago was like music played by angels who came to us from heaven for two-and-a-half-hours ^_^
Francesco"s contribution becomes overwhelmingly clear during his playing on "Little Margaret", and how his accordion almost disappears during "Wayfaring Stranger".
I feel ' human '. Thank You.
Why am I such a big fan of Rhiannon Giddens?
Your collaboration is magical. Thank You.
Just saw their show last night at the Diana Wortham theatre in Asheville NC; it was incredible!
Her voice is a miracle.
Saw them with Jason Sypher on bass at Stanford a few days ago. Breathtaking.
so very special!
Beautiful.. !!
Thank you for explaining the Mediterranean/African connection to the banjo.
what a wonderfully full sound from that frame drum
Thank you.
I'm in love with this album! Wow!
Beautiful and very moving.
somehow every song becomes better
I always feel like Rhiannon's jokes are underappreciated. ahahaa. ima take off my scrunchie, and roll up my sleeve haahahahah
Awesome unique sound Thank you. I’m stuck to Paste like glue
poor little margaret, that's a haunting tune!
Brilliant video, and great performance !....
Love it!
So great!
I saw 4 thumbs down on the video very surprised clearly the people that gave the thumbs down clearly don't know good music.
Beautiful
Incredible
Bravo !
Hope to catch them in Australia next year!!
Very nice work!

❤❤❤❤
Love the shoutout to Cooperman's! Grafton Patrick, you have a frame drum superstar on your roster.
She has a powerful voice. I have Red Dead Redemption 2 to thank for bringing her to my attention.
The only other version of this song that makes such an impression on me is from Johnny Cash, but that is partly because he was singing it when he knew he would not be with us for much longer, which gave his rendition extra meaning. Rhiannon is impressive in another way, captivating us with her beautiful voice and with the honesty she brings to every song she expresses.
Music gasam on the neck,to me means bloody hell i likey
💯😎
Lindo!!! :D
What is the name of wonderful DRUM?
I don't see how Paste can do this without a good camera?
What brand and model is her banjo. Who makes it.
I know it is a 1858 replica.
But who makes it and how do I get one..??
Brother Harvey in Christ Jesus
"How did this go?" -- ha! Would anyone call "What key is it in? What key is it in?" at the start of Sting's Shadows in the Rain (Dream of the Blue Turtles) anything but classic? Why not just let it roll. Serve up the music alive.
I have proof of Satan's existence. See that single thumbs down?
Gotcha.

Unbelievable....
Awesome. When she sings, she sings perfectly. Never stops to think of what comes next; never says "Y'know," to give herself a moment to think. When interviewed, however, she's not singing; she's improvising. Too frequently, she say's "Y'know" when she's pausing for a thought or a word. This has got to stop. She's on the verge of greater public reknown than ever. She needs to learn how to handle it. Please drop the drag-me-down-to-earth space-filler. Please.
I am sure you are a perfect public speaker. Get over yourself buddy and appreciate the music.
Research this lady a bit she is well versed and multi talented.
I have seen her in concert several times and she has always come across as a very intelligent and articulate public speaker. Even if she didn't, with a singing voice like that, who really cares?
singing, y'know, and speaking are, like, y'know, two separate talents. especially, like, speaking of pretty complex and delicate subjects, y'know. I only have a bachelor's of music. I'm, like, learning on the job. ;)
It’s probably because she’s more of a feeler which gives her that remarkable ability to translate her passion into music. Why do you admire polish in commentary between songs so much? It’s more honest this way anyways. If everyone were so articulate then they’d be a politician, a salesman or some other type of public figure. She’s a musician.
Robert, I'm sorry, but that is so foolish.
Tiny Desk concert copycats. Not appreciated.
Comparison is your personal sickness.
