A really GOOD honest review Dave! Thank you! I just recently bought the TP25 (4 probe) and the TP19 in the red handle color. Absolutely love both of them! I especially love the red LED lighted numbers in the TP19. I can see the temps on the brightest of days outside. Tested both of mine (Hot/Cold) and they were both calibrated 100% correct right straight out of the box. Gotta love it. Blue tooth on the TP25, wonderful, and works perfect. You forgot to mention the free 3yr extended warranty they give you when you register their product.
Great review and video! Thanks for the informative overview and detailed look at these 2 units. 14.5 secs seems pretty long with the lid up, and if you have to temp a few pieces, I'm thinkin that adds up. Dang it's a low price tho! I had a thermoworks thermapen for 4 years and recently dropped it to its death. Even out of warranty, thermoworks repaired it for $30 and she's good as new. Thermoworks customer service was solid. You pay more for the product, but you're getting a truly INSTANT thermometer backed by solid service. Been a huge fan. Can't go wrong with em. Thanks again for telling me about this low price alternative
You did the temperature time test when the meat was still on a grill with continuous heat being emitted. I’m sure the more expensive one is faster but you have to take the temp with the meat taken directly off of the heat source. Thanks for the review though much appreciated.
No you don’t. That’s not how thermometers work. The ambient temperature plays no part in the reading as it’s not touching the thermometer. The only thing being read is the internal temperature.
I have the TP19, red one with red digital numbers and I like that one a lot! Super fast, water proof, and I paid 25 dollars for it, although I think it costs 30 dollars now.
Dave! News! Thermopro listened to you and released a very cool, updated model. The "Lightning Thermopro ". It has all the upgrades you suggested in another instant read unboxing. And is less expensive on Amazon then the competition. Features better backlight than the competition, better magnet, all black coolness, 10 year warranty. In addition it has a "calibration" mode in the off-chance it becomes, well, off a bit. I was researching the competitors, and found this new edition of one you reviewed and use. I went for it, and I'm very impressed by it's improvements. It's not yellow anymore, and go with your kitchen decor well enough to hang on your fridge. ;) Did I mention the stronger magnet. I'm loving the LIGHTNING Thermapro, and think you might too. Worth a shot! Worth a review. Thanks again for your recipes and your reviews. Marv in OKC
I just got the thermpro tp19h and its miles ahead of my shitty one i got at walmart. The display is nice, it reads fast and is accurate.. my old one took like 5+ seconds to get a final temp and its annoying since the probe is fixed so the display can be difficult to read when working in a hot environment. For 16 its a steal, i have a dual probe by thermpro also and its great. The quality seems legit
Does your TP19H read much faster than 5 seconds? Compared to your old one. Or at least quicker than 14 seconds like it did for the gentleman in this video
I can wait a couple more seconds and save the $50. In fact that's what I did. Purchased the TH19H about a month ago and think it's great!. I also have the wireless dual probe from ThermoPro for my smoker pit.
Hmm, I had to say something. It broke today after 2 months of use. Temp is dashes, tried resetting, replacing battery. All buttons unresponsive. I'll let you know how thermopro reacts
@@miccorockstar1 not sure what that sound was. I thing the screw was in tight and the material was on the cheaper side. It was like that noise you get when you take a screw out of a plastic toy 😀

Really Shawn? Show us the evidence to substantiate your claim. I see a lot of these types of comments in favor of Thermapen One, you know, the one that is almost $100 for a dang meat thermometer. And from what I have seen, one is better off going with any other brand than any from Thermoworks, because I suspect many of these comments I speak of are personally tied to them to boost their sales by bashing the competition with frivolous claims.

I had a cheapo 8 dollar one i misplaced and it was so handy for checking ac vent temps as well as cooking. The 15 dollar one seems great

Yeah, $29 at Lowes. I got the red color one too. Love it.
I also picked up the TP25 w/blue tooth. Works awesome!

Not sure, I have since recycled all the paper work

Strip it? No it’s fine. I just removed the washer that holds the screw in place so I can tighten the lid down more. Still working great.
