Man, the allies in the campaign have been breaking the AI rules of being either traitors or useless.
The trivia concerning the book about the scenario editor is really interesting
Well, historically, the Kingdom of Sicily was essentially formed due to a discount crusade by the Normans. So the Sicilians being the normans in future scenarios makes perfect sense.
I’m loving the effectual AI allies in this campaign! I’ve got a soft spot for AIs who (try to) do something useful as your ally, so this campaign seems like a dream come true.
"We shall then defeat the whole lot of them in one go!" - Edward I of England
I literally live 30 seconds from where this battle took place the ruins of the castle is till there and there is a notice board which describes of the heroic Welsh princes who were massively outnumbered and defeated many Englishmen. It’s a huge tourist attraction in our region. But now everyone just walks there dogs around the castle.
Mass longbows are so satisfying. These bring me back to my wonderful child mind
You didn't have murder holes.....but grey did, and since the castles were 'converted' they keep the upgrades of the original player and not current
LL = approximatelyHL
w = the vowel u (it’s both a vowel and a consonant simultaneously)
y = the vowel i (also simultaneously)
So Llywelyn -> Lly-we-lyn ~> hli-WEH-lin
For anyone interested in for complementing with the Longshanks campaign, there is a campaign in Steam for the HD called "William Wallace Braveheart" where it follows both the events historically, and from the movie. Adapted in the form of a 6 level campaign.
For those wondering, its not a redo of the learning campaign. Its very difficult, and you face a ton of enemies in an almost Goth-like numbers. On the bright side, you can use the very best of the Celts. So far one of my favorite custom campaigns in the game.
And on a side note, if you extract the stages into the "single player" file, you can not only change your civ for the campaign, but also change your enemies civ, and still train their unique units. So it served me as a beefed up version of the Genghis Khan campaign.
So in other words, you have a customizable campaign in your hands. I recommend it hands down.
well let's just take a moment and like this video for Mr.Twest's restless work since the start of this day the editing and making of this should take a hell lot of time thanks for your kind work :)
28:10 sneaky cavalry charge behind the objectives panel, the Welsh surely are cunning!
The Welsh have allied with William Wallace, because the sneak attack is something they definitely learned while playing the Wallace campaign.
WOw, T-West, you and OrnLu are just streaming these campaigns out from the game.
14:30 OrnLu must've felt sad right there.
The main Welsh guy here is pronounced Lewelin ap Griffith, and his brother is Davith. Welsh isn't a hard language to pronounce once one realises they just use silly letter combos for simple sounds.
Great maps for this campaign so far.
In the intro the narrator actually pronounces the welsh name correctly however the double L in Llewelyn is dragged out a bit longer a solid 8/10
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd (c. 1223 - 11 December 1282), sometimes written as Llywelyn ap Gruffydd (shh-well-in Griff-ith)
Very pleased with the pronunciation of Worcester at the start. This promises to be a good video. Take care with the Welsh words or you might end up drowning in your own spit though, it's not an easy language...
The cester in Worcester comes from Old English ceaster, city (from Latin castra, camp).
With ceaster being pronounced chaaster, Worcester being said as "Worchester" by the time of Edward I (halfway into the Middle English period) seems pretty likely.
AI walks through a narrow forrest path.
Black Forest Britons players: So you have chosen DEATH.
I believe a great thing for this scenario would be if enemy units spawned every time you get too close to a forest, to give that sense of a whole big Skirmish going on
Three episodes in les than 24 hours
Funny I just competed this one myself.
It was nice change of pace from the mayhem of Man of God, what a shitshow that scenario was.
An idea. Once you have finished the Briton, Sicilian and Burgundian campaigns, you could make a video ranking each campaign (as in all of them, not the 3 new ones) based on how well-made, unique and fun they are.
Try
"Low-ell-inn ap Griffith"
POV: english longbowmen are making it rain on your home village
Oh yeah, no war-wolf, nice. Edward hadn't built it yet.
Was that Brian Blessed somewhere around 4:18? Sounds like him with a microphone that could not handle the Brian.
24:51 T-west sniping anyone who tries to be a Pacifist 😉😁
Scouting with sheep in Wales? That's asking for trouble...
Green sends an army of rams. How quaint.
Chloo-ech-len app Griff-fid
Woah 3 vids in one day ??? What going on here ????
easier just to defeat the Welsh?
For the algorithm?
Ya know, I think it might be possible that the pronunciation has changed since the 13. century. So maybe the narrator os correct?
Also Tea-West, how do you get those cool white health bars above your resources? Like the chopped trees and the Stone mine.
There are options for that in the options menu, I think it's on the "Game" tab.
@@T-West , is there a way to actually stop the horrible Lithuanian bug? Like Stoping the +200 Atk Paladins or Letisis?
Based on the current publishing rate, after watching this one, I sadly know that I have another 8 hours to wait for the next :(.
Woah, you took advantage of the darkness of the night to sneakily upload one more :o
That would be a great pacifist mission!
So how do you feel about these scenarios so far?
They're pretty good. I really liked the 2nd one.
IM EARLY OMFG
Watching you do what is basically a Longbow only army for 40m without thumb ring is painful
Oh, the Britons don't get Thumb Ring. :)
@@T-West What? how have I gone my whole life without knowing this?
T-West, I have a weird thing in my version of the game: For some strange reasons, the Western European Architecture Set, Britons Franks and Celts, their warship's sails are crooked in a way. It's really weird and I tried to restart my computer and nothing happened. Have you ever seen this/
I haven't seen it before, maybe try verifying the integrity of your game files on Steam.
@@T-West , I play on a Mircosoft account, so I don't know what to do or how to fix it.
West this might sound dumb. Edward isn’t the king who hates all the Scottish as the Celts is he?
Edward is the antagonist from the William Wallace campaign, if that's what you're asking.
@@T-West perhaps. If Edward’s real full name is right from the beginning. Then yeah that’s what I’m asking.
Can you use monks to capture the princes?
Not sure, they might be unconvertable hero units.
Tea-West I must ask, do you really like tea?
I don't really drink much tea, to be honest.
@@T-West , then why is Tea-West a thing?
@@T-West , also, how do you move out so much? Is it because your monitor is big or something? I really need to know.
@@T-West , also also, what is your bug counter so far?
@@T-West , will you kill William Wallace?
Buff BURGUNDIANS and BRITONS pls
This mission was too easy.
When are we getting a pacifist run of this campaign?
Ur laugh is cute,no homo
Llywelyn ap Gruffudd would be ... chu-we-lin ap Grew-fu-th.
...as far as I know. Welsh is tough for a dummy like me.
Nerf BURGUNDIANS and BRITONS pls
And Lithuanians plz.
@@T-West yeah
IM SALVAKE please stop your actions.
@@emilyding2496 i don't think i will
, Pls stop.
48th
Not very pacifist. Kinda a shame.
They need to add ultra hardest mods to these campaigns. Im a 1.5k player and they are so damn easy. I really enjoy playing them but not like this.
