he incorporates everything: slap, fingerstyle, pick, tapping, chords and switches between them on the fly. i love his hybrid style of playing, very impressive. also great distorted bass sound. there are some massive demos on his IG.
i might be wrong, but this is the first episode i see of the pod with a technical aspect to it. it was cool to see you guys geek out on gear and technique.
I cannot express how great these guys are. Doesn't matter how much or little you know about music. They are humble people that seem to genuinely love meeting others that appreciate what they do. Roman seemed truly amazed that I showed up to the VIP with his signature guitar for them to autograph
we from Rising Curse need to thank you and suicide silence to be a big influence on for us! without you guys we aren't nothing or this project! hope one day we could participate this great podcast to talk a bit
The best podcast yet Chris, bravo! Thank you Roman and Eugene! Loved this - watching friends chatting, teaching, sharing!.. And I agree, that IS the power of the poor, we share and lift each other up! Love Jinjer!!!
Great Jinjer interview!! Wonderful to hear Roman! I just have to say, I was gratified to listen to both Roman and Eugene explain Tati's uncanny talent. I've always been utterly amazed at Tati's ability to not only come up with her vocal rhythms over their VERY complex work, but to keep up with it and add theater on top of it live, is really mesmerizing. This band is a singular beauty, and Tati is one-of-a-kind. She is hands-down a level above her peers. And not to diminish the three gentlemen players by any stretch - but Tati deserves some kind of world-class award for her total contribution; excellent stage presence, incredible cleans, astounding extremes, astonishing vocal composition, and superb lyrics. What a stunning woman.
I agree totally. Kinda glad Tati wasn't in this video since she seems to naturally get all the attention towards her, not her fault, she just has that charisma
Saw these guys with Sepultura in Dublin and they were monsterous Tatiana gets the right amount of praise but these boys and the drummer are under appreciated. Fantastic song writers and performances. Also stood next to your sound guy for a chunk of the gig in the crowd, guys was hilarious and working hard!
This is one of my favourite interviews you have done way up there with Dino Cazares. If you could ever do another one with them post-album launch that would be sick
Great podcast, had the pleasure to meet and chat a bit with this two great dudes and musicians, in Zurich, so stoked to see them play next year in my hometown, Lisboa, PT. Take care everyone.
He's using an amp head + cab mainly for the poweramp section of the head to power the cab. This could easily be replaced with a dedicated poweramp + cab.
I agree with the sound of the early 2000s sounding better. Alot to do with it is the snare drum sound. Especially like early korn. That snare used pop like you were watching the band in a room. Most bands these days the snare sounds like an 80s hair band. Listen to korns first or second album vs the most recent two. Listen to that snare. You'll see what I'm talking about. I find bands that use a powerful snare and stay with them. I cant listen to newer hatebreed cause they did that. Old hatebreed had that powerful popping snare sound. Which in my opinion makes every instrument sound better. Listen to the first couple albums from bury your dead. Snare is so good! Just thought I'd give my 2 cents. Love this podcast.
There’s definitely more to it than that. The early 2000’s was the age of experimentation with amps, mics, cabinets, speakers etc… Also during that time you didn’t have amp modelers like you do today where you can just click a preset and go, so most guitarists at the time found their sound (gain level/EQ etc) on their own and there wasn’t a ton of youtube tutorials on how to play this, how to mic that, the eq moves the pro’s use etc and as a result not only did each band sound different even mixing and mastering engineers produced different sounding products. While all the tutorials and how to’s have pushed the genre to an undeniably higher quality product, it also has pushed everyone to sounding the same.
they using lots of chromatic mediants from what I can hear might be wrong it's like when a minor chord is played following a minor chord but played minor third down - super fun on piano btw - chromatic mediant like this makes like darkest of sounds ! john williams uses those and lotr composition as well super fun
The tipping culture is so strange. How much, let’s say, a waiter’s wage per hour without tipping in USA? In Australia my son get paid 25 and never got any tip
„Fortunately for me they don‘t have a bass guitarist“. Eugene made me crack up with that one. However… it‘s actually rather sad for him because they don‘t +need+ a bass guitarist 😂
Have they talked about russia’s atrocious war in their home country or they are still playing dumb? Eugene is from near Donetsk, territory that are currently invaded and occupied by russia. Any words about that?
It’s a crime that Eugene didn’t win best bassist at NikNok awards
My brotha! THANK YOU!
I agree but there always next year tho
And that's why I refuse to take those "Awards" seriously

I want more of this
Roman is a huge influence , one of the reason I started playing guitars.
He’s so chill 😂 dunno if he’s high af or just that chill

I seriously love this podcast and how down to earth Chris is! He’s literally still the kid we all are inside!
круте інтерв'ю, дуже цікаво дивитися та слухати все, про що балакають музиканти, дякую
Jinjer is insanely talented, every member of their band is a virtuoso at their position, including Queen Tati and her voice. LOVE THEM.
This is another good one Garza.
Great interview. Jinjer is an awesome band.
Cool to see Roman on this! Dude is such a humble god
I seen Jinjer & SS at HMAC in Harrisburg Pennsylvania Front & center. Both Killed it... Great Show.
Saw these guys with Sepultura in Dublin and they were monsterous
Tatiana gets the right amount of praise but these boys and the drummer are under appreciated. Fantastic song writers and performances. Also stood next to your sound guy for a chunk of the gig in the crowd, guys was hilarious and working hard!
Most down to earth people ever.
Great podcast Garza!! Keep it up! Greetings from Finland
I was excited when you were teasing this but the second I saw y’all had guitar with you, I knew I was gonna be in for a treat
Saw the few weeks back in Manchester UK..has to be one of the best live sounds ive ever heard. So much clarity and power.
This is one of my favourite interviews you have done way up there with Dino Cazares. If you could ever do another one with them post-album launch that would be sick
Yess!! Excited for this one.
Cool to hear Roman talk, a lot of the times it's only Tati and Eugene. And I get that maybe Roman's and Vlad's English isn't as good.
Doesn't matter about his english; it's good enough and we want to hear from him.
Long live Jinjer! I was once on their show, a year ago, and it was simply one of the best. Much love from the Old World :)
Loved this ep.
Really enjoyed the vibe between you guys.
I love those guys ✊ cool discussion
🔥 Another good one!
Eugene gets all the love, and deservedly so, but Roman is a fuckin' beast.
Jinjer 🥰❤️🔥
Omg this is awesome, I'm currently in argentina for 3 days just to see them tomorrow!
I love how they explained writing great songs. Sometimes simple can be better, it's not always about extreme technical playing 👍🏼
Great podcast, had the pleasure to meet and chat a bit with this two great dudes and musicians, in Zurich, so stoked to see them play next year in my hometown, Lisboa, PT. Take care everyone.
Thanks chris..my homies roman and eugene..been waiting for this one..will be sure to share to jinjer fan club
3:05 Garza accidentally used his radioactive superpowers
Such interesting guys!!
This is so cool!!!
Two of the Most "Locked In" Dudes on the Planet. \\m//
I love these guys!
Hell yeah!! 💥💥
their story is very inspiring although they are not much aware of it.
Fun watching him learn the intro
You have to get Fallujah on please
First time watching your podcast man! Awesome stuff, ive just seen them live last night, sic musicians! 🤘🏻🇦🇷
bro played as i boi ice riff and I thought it was slavic sounding and sure enough they're from Ukraine. Fellow Russian here from US with love
Awesome band.
Garzas mouth riff rendition of as I boil ice is ridiculous! bonananoinoinoinanana😂
Круте інтервʼю, дякую!
Шкода Тані не було :(
Listening to Chris have the 4 cable method explained to him is hilarious.
Amazing, what a teacher!
Love that it’s just the guys. 🤘🏼
They're missing the most important one lolol
@@JMRxYM Agreed. Vlad!😂

Holyyyy 🧙🏼♂️🥋⚡️
Cool!

Roman: hehehe *aggressive djent sound*

Can we get Dave Davidson at some point?
I'm only a fraction through the podcast but my limited understanding is Sasha is the fifth member of the band.

😂 Jinjer is technical, just not SUPER technical. But they're technical.
Yo spliffs😂 are the shit
48:48 - Guys, play with fingers :))))))))
I here a little deftones influence but more technical
The tipping culture is so strange. How much, let’s say, a waiter’s wage per hour without tipping in USA? In Australia my son get paid 25 and never got any tip
In Brasil 10% tip is automatically included.Thats the normal way culture...
@ if a fixed value is compulsory in all bills, than this is a fee, not a tip. Tip is voluntary for good service
My pinky doesnt like to do certain things either lol
„Fortunately for me they don‘t have a bass guitarist“. Eugene made me crack up with that one. However… it‘s actually rather sad for him because they don‘t +need+ a bass guitarist 😂
Lol gr8 interview, but tati and vlad too were needed here as well.
All love and respect but I always thought Chris Garza looked like a Latino Jeff Hardy
Get billy strings
It’s funny hearing Europeans talking about tipping, paying extra for good service goes to the company, tipping goes directly to the person..
а где вы были 8 лет кагда бамбили бамбас... когда концерт на алее ангелов?
Well that was rough...
